Great open area for kids to run around. Basic infrastructure does exist but it seemed to be insufficient. If plan is just to have an active afternoon with the family by the lake, it is a very nice option and I'd recommend.

Clute Campground is across the street from Seneca Lake. A portion of the campground is occupied by seasonal campers who leave their campers in the campground. The remainder of the campground is available for nightly or weekly camping. They have sites with full hookup for about 55 dollars a night. The spaces are level but close together. The location is...

What a nice place to be! Very close to everything we wished to see. Check-in was quick and easy and our back-in site was level and easy to get into. The front desk people were very friendly and helpful especially when I couldn't get the internet to work in the beginning. Nice and quiet - just the way we like...

This is a nice campground and so close to the town of Watkins Glen and the gorge. The front desk ladies are very nice and accommodating. The gravel sites were level with full hook ups. It's a pretty quiet, no thrills campground. If you don't have young kids this is a perfect campground.

We wanted a place to swim after hiking Glen Watkins gorge. This is not it! We went in the evening so there was no charge to park and enter. There seemed to be a fair going on in the grounds there were cars and SUVs driving around. Very busy! When we got the beach area it was smelly and very...

I can't speak for the campground; the park area was fine - volleyball, basketball courts, etc.. Those were all fine. However, the "beach" area was small, the water looked very dirty, it was full of seaweed, and zebra mussels (sign recommended you were shoes in the water). Very disappointed. Do not recommend going there is you want to swim.

Went to the area and camped for a week. Had beautiful weather. We took in several wineries and breweries. Some beautiful country side with all the mountains and lake views. So much to see up there. Nice little town.

Clute campground ! Affordable and spacious ! Clean bathrooms and nice people. If you have a boat this is the place to be with a marina on site. There is no pool however you can walk across to swim in the lake . If you have children and are looking for activities this is not the place for you. Though...

We stayed at Clute Campground for a long weekend with our two dogs. It was a convenient place to stay while we enjoyed Watkins Glen. The campground was across the street from a park that bordered the lake. It was a lovely park to take the dogs for a walk on our down time. The campground bordered a marina that...

We decided to spend the Labor Day weekend in Watkins Glen this year. Getting a late start in our decision making, there were no suitable hotels or bed and breakfast establishments available. We did however have a perfect two person tent and decided that a campground would be just fine! So then we needed to find a spot that would...
