This park was clean. Not handicap friendly. the walk along the gorge on a hot day was almost killer - I'm overweight and older. No bathrooms along the way or a place to sit and have a snack. the climb down was easier then going up. I would recommend the shuttle for people in my category. No Hotel state park.

I can not believe that I have lived in PA all of my life and have never known about this absolute GEM of a park, only 3 1/2 hours away! I have been to the park twice in the last month and can't wait for my next trip there. The main even for me was the gorge trail. There are... More

We stopped here on during our tour from NYC to Niagara Falls to do the gorge walk. It was absolutely stunning, nice easy walk. The waterfalls and rock formations were great. Wish we had more time here to look around.

We camped on site 262 in Tuscarora Village the weekend of August 12. First, the site was awesome, well-maintained, spacious and private! There was a convenient path through the woods to the restroom. The only complaint would be that the first night, the ignorance of idiots across the loop could be heard until after midnight when it abruptly stopped, so... More

Really enjoyed this campground. Like others have said the staff in the office are friendly and helpful. We had site 151 in the Oneida loop, was a perfect site close to the bathroom and right across from the water, nice and flat and shaded. Had a wonderful time in the evening exploring the path down to the gorge trail. The... More

We loved everything about our camping experience at Watkins Glen. Well, actually there is one minor thing that I would have changed (read on)..... First of all, the staff was friendly and helpful. Those in the front allowed us to change from our reserved site to another without hassle. They also gave us tips about places in the vicinity to visit... More

Don't miss! I thought this hike might be overrated but it's not. It's interesting and beautiful - very much like the photos! We walked the gorge trail, which was about 3 miles, and took us an hour and a half. We stopped quite a bit to take photos. There are people here from all over the world, so it's busy, but... More

This was my first visit to Watkins Glen state park. I went with my family to enjoy the waterfalls and the hike. Bring good shoes, because the main hike is 1.5 miles and 832 steps. Well worth taking your time to view the scenery in the gorge during the hike. You can also take a shuttle to the top or... More

My family and I camped on the Tuscarora loop in campsite # 264. It had a picnic table, a fire place and a spot for the tent. The ground is covered in stones (except for the place for the tent) which makes it impossible to place a tiki torch anywhere. Overall 264 is a quiet campground (unless someone is playing... More

Our large group camped here for 3 nights, July 4th weekend. All 7 families were in various sites within Tuscarora Loop. Adequate space between sites, clean restrooms, new playgrounds, hot showers, Olympic size pool with diving area, separate pool for toddlers/younger kids, and access to gorge trails. We did use the main entrance for the Glen (campers don't need to... More
