Beautiful location with excellent cottages. Great view of Queen Elizabeth National Park and the Craters. Very good and friendly service ; Continental breakfast is served along with lunch buffet and dinner buffet. Highly recommend.
We called ahead to check directions to the lodge as we were coming from Fort Portal and google often doesn't give you the best route in Uganda. The manager (Nicolas) told us to take the Mbarara road and so the journey took five hours instead of three. While he admitted his mistake, no attempt was made to compensate for it. He introduced us to a local guide who, while very inexperienced, wanted to charge the same price as one of the park rangers. When we tried to check out, he refused to accept the USD bills that we had. As they don't accept credit cards, it left us all in an embarrassing situation. It was a shame because the rooms are lovely and the rest of the staff are excellent but they are let down by the management.
We just had a great stay at Twin Lakes. It’s proximity to Queen Elizabeth NP is ideal. The views are amazing as you look out over the Rift Valley. We watched some epic thunder storms from our balcony!! Our room was spacious and nicely designed, as was our en-suite. We loved the view from the shower!
Twin Lakes had large and beautiful huts with a wonderful view of the savannah. There was a misunderstanding between our tour company and the lodge about the number of beds we needed. They quickly remedied the problem by bringing in an extra (very comfortable) bed. The showers next to the windows to look at the view felt very luxurious. They also had the best water pressure we experienced in Uganda. If the pork chop is an options, you should get it! Wifi was above average.
Twin lakes lodge is beautiful. The cottage was very nice with an amazing view of the savannah below us. Wifi connection also in the room. Personnel kind. Laundry service available.......... Strongly recommend
