My wife and I recently stayed at Pumba in Queen Elizabeth and had a great night during our Safari including an elephant in the field in front of our room, and monkeys running by within feet of our porch. The rooms are nice, beds comfortable, bathroom is spacious enough and the shower has hot water. There was wifi in the main lodge and the food was very good. Our tour operator booked this for us but we would certainly stay again. Make sure to do the chimp tracking in the gorge, was the highlight of our trip. Ask for Harriet the guide, she’s great. We are in our late 30’s from America.
We enjoyed more than we expected. Services were excellent, hospitality, Room, food and staff was extremely excellent. The place is near to the chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura gorge Thanks to Tonny for the arrangements done. I will recommend to friends.
Ruth and her team make you feel welcome in their beautiful cottages that overlook a vast valley! Enjoy to watch elephants graze in the far, or playing monkeys right before you. The meals are arranged to please eye and tongue and the service is perfect. Bring some time to really enjoy!
It was nice looking place with spacious features of many tourism industrious concepts-i actually enjoyed the place in pretty with nice looking service of rooms, accommodation, meals & community walk such so wish to come back again at pumba safari cottages
Pro- Best staff of anywhere I stayed! Food was good, they won best pancake (orange zest in the batter) Cons- definitely a smaller room, although the shower was nice and hot. Lighting in the room was very dim, and it was a Very dark walk to the cabin after dinner. Would be nice if they offered flashlight/torch like some other locations. Overall, I would definitely come back because the staff was so wonderful- they made up for everything else!
we stay 3 night with Fahad (host), alphons, and Mohamed (cheff). Everything great. ecellent food, rooms cleans with amazing views... location very good very close to Q. E National Park. Best of all--> Fahad, Alphons and Mohamed... amazing talks and very friendlies.. all the best for you guys..
I have enjoyed the beautiful view of sabana in Pumba lodge. I quiet and peaceful place. Birds sound always presents. Original room decoration, nice garden and very kind staff. Very near to Queens Elisabeth Park.
Convenient location - 10 minutes from Queen Elizabeth NP entrance and same to Kyambura Gorge for the chimpanzee trekking, which I thoroughly recommend. The first thing that strikes you about this place is the view. It certainly has the 'wow' factor. Most of the lodges face towards the National Park. I arrived and I was lucky enough to have an elephant or two foraging in the valley below and monkeys hanging out on my terrace. I got a beer and relaxed on the terrace simply to enjoy the moment. It also makes for a beautiful sunset. The lodges are simple, comfortable, clean and have nice hot showers. The staff, I have to mention Scarlett in particular, are very friendly and attentive. Food, like most of the lodges here, is locally sourced or homegrown. As it was the low season and due to Covid, my guide and I were the only two staying here. Food was between a choice of two options. Understandable. The perfect place to unwind after a day in the Park and admire the savannah in all its glory.…
