Spent 7only one night in a family cottage. The cottage is spacious with 2 bedrooms and big bathroom all very clean. Beautifull garden and views of the park. Nice swimming pool and good main area settings. Excelent food and service.

The road to Katara is quite tortuous, it's only a short distance from QE park which is a great location. Staff were great, we were the only guests on the first night but it made no difference to the service or the food. House wine was great, and when they were unable to provide coffee at breakfast we were rewarded... More

This was actually the best value for money lodge during our trip to Uganda. Still price but only about half what the others did cost. The location is beautiful high up on the mountainside overlooking the plans towards Queen Elisabeth National Park. We stayed for two nights and one night actually were the only guests. Our room was very big,nicely... More

This lodge a bit outside the park is one of the best ever because of its amazing views over the Queen Elizabeth National Park. Staff is nice and so is the food. Rooms are spacious and you can even get the bed pushed in the terrace and sleep under the stars!

Me and my husband spent 3 nights in Katara Lodge and we just loved it! We wanted to visit Queen Elizabeth NP, but also wanted to have a nice place to relax and hang out. Katara was just perfect for that. The very spacious and tasteful rooms have a magnificent view over the park. The room has its own sitting... More

Katara lodge is indeed a star on the earth, this place far away in the poor village in western Uganda, only to be surprised there was a great spot with spectacular view and gifted, On one of the day we opted to relax in a beautiful spacious room with amazing view to the park watching a big herd of elephant... My daughter and I stayed here for two wonderful nights. Thanks to all the staff. The accommodation is private cabins with sweeping views, fantastic scenic bathroom with claw bath and wonderful birds! The infinity pool has a wonderful view and comfy lounging chairs.

we stayed in August and it was a perfect base for doing Queen Elizabeth Park and relaxing at the lodge. Nicholas made us feel very welcome and all the staff were fantastic. The chef made us the most delicious vegan food for which we were very grateful . The whole experience was luxurious and the views from the restaurant and... More

We were warmly welcomed, and a consultant helping the hotel with their food service even created a cocktail for us which was a nice touch. The lodge has lovely well maintained gardens and stunning rooms with the most amazing view over the park. If you are into sleeping under the stars (and it's not Rainey season) then you will love... What a stunning location to be nestled in the more than spacious, clean, comfortable and incredibly well equipped lodges - resting on stilts with views from the lounge areas of nothing but open landscape - listening to birds and local people chattering as they go about their morning activities before the heat of the sun calms again ... Such a... More
