The views over the lake is amazing, the food is excellent, the rooms are comfortable, the location is great, but the highlight is the super friendly staff and all the special touches - warm water bottle in your bed, cleaning your muddy shoes without having to ask, carrying your luggage - we felt very spoilt!
Lovely stay at this hotel. Rooms are spacious and clean. Lovely view over the lake and a fantastic destination for bird spotters. Well situated for gorilla trekking. I asked the staff with very little notice whether they could arrange dinner by the lake so I could propose to my girlfriend and they arranged it brilliantly. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The internet doesn't reach the rooms and is temperamental but that is to be expected in such a remote location. Would recommend to anyone.
Sittuated on Lake Mulehe with gorgeous views and happy chirping birds, Lake Mulehe offers everything for a comfortable stay including a complimentary fruit basket and some biscuits to go with the coffee in your room. This property really deserves more good reviews too as it is a perfectly good place to call your home away from home. We arrived at night which was a shame but what a pleasant surprise to wake up to such gorgeous views! Quite a number of steps to get from the main lodge to the rooms but that seems to be the standard for most lodges. Our cabin was spacious and clean with a lovely balcony. The mattress was a tad too firm for us but the hot water bottle slipped in between the sheets at night kept our bed nice and warm. What a fabulous idea! As the temperature dropped we were very comfortable, tucked in bed. The hot water shower was so welcome in the co weather. A little confusing as the hot and cold water knobs seem to be installed the other way around and the hot water was a tad bit sporadic. This lodge is eco conscious and does use solar power but what is neat is when more voltage is needed it switches from solar to powered electricity. We found this useful for the hairdryer LOL. Staff were very helpful and meals were well prepared and just excellent really. Again I wished we had a extra day to just chill and explore the activities at the lodge but we ran out of time. We would reccomend this lodge as a good cosy, clean and cost alternative to other lodges in the area which are way more unjustifiably costlier just because they are within the vicinity of the gorilla's too. …
This lodge is beautiful, it has stunning views of Lake Mulehe and on clear day, you get to see the Virunga ranges. The rooms are spacious and each has a private balcony. The staff go out of their way to make one feel comfortable. The food is worth going back to. The chef has a midas touch. I would recommend it for anyone looking for a getaway from the busy city life.
Great location with some beautiful views. Friendly staff and great food. Rooms were clean and had patios that overlook the lake for some spectacular sunrises. Would definitely stay here again when visiting Bwindi NP.
