I recently stayed at the Park Hyatt Zanzibar following my trek to the top of Mt Kilimanjaro. What a perfect way to relax and recover! From the second I walked through the doors I felt relaxed, and immediately took full advantage of the beautiful pool overlooking the sea. In the evening we were greeted with the most beautiful sunset view from our balcony. I don't know if I slept so well because of the hike, but it also was likely due to the fact that the bed and pillows were some of the best that I have ever encountered in a hotel. I honestly could not come up with a single bad thing to say about my stay here other than it was too short.
The Park Hyatt Zanzibar far exceeds any expectations you might have. The service, the people, the food in the Dining Room and Beach House are incredible. The staff is amazing especially Nelson, Reception and Dining. The Managers always check on you. Taryn made us feel like Royalty. She was so attentive to our needs and taught us so much. She is a true value added member. Park Hyatt is a MUST in Zanzibar
Wonderful service, good location for Stonetown, delicious food, great rooms (sea view deluxe with balcony is great). A big thank you to Taryn, Antonin, Emmanuel and everyone in the Dining Room (totally forgotten half your names, Tamanin? Sorry!). Look forward to coming back soon :)
This vacation was not planned at all and park haytt hotal Zanzibar did their best to make thing happened as we wanted and more. From pick-up from Zanzibar airport to check-out everything was organized well and hotel staffs are so friendly, more care about us and always make sure that we are very satisfied. I loved the ocean view from our room and the best part is the hotel is near to town and airport and everything near to hotel by walking. You can rent boat and enjoy the beach. I want to thanks hotel staffs and concierge teams for everything they did for us and take care of us and specail thank to Mr. Bakari to organized our safari trip to Serengeti in short time and Mr. Farah. Also very much thank to Mr. Fawzy as he did his best to ensure that we are happy. Sometime Unplanned thing and good arrangement from hotel made our vacation memorable 😊…
Disappointed by Park Hyatt Zanzibar. This hotel is not even close to the standards set by other Park Hyatt locations at which I have stayed. The hotel is lovely but the beach out front is full of plastic/garbage. Would love to see the hotel invest in some ocean/beach clean up. Breakfast was lovely with great food. However, upon being seated, I was never asked if I would like a beverage but felt as though I had to forage for coffee on my own. Pool-side was similar: I felt like I had to ask for a menu every day. Nobody asked if I would like anything. A menu was never offered. Odd, as that would seem to be quite a money maker given the high prices. I REALLY dislike the intercom system where reception can speak to you directly on the phone with no warning. I found it super creepy. Despite being told multiple times that, as a rewards member, I could have a 2 pm checkout, they used the intercom repeatedly asking when I would be checking out. I finally left at 1:30 to get them to stop calling. Logging into the internet didn’t work so they had to give me a generic conference code, which only worked marginally well. I’d have to login repeatedly with any use. The television didn’t work one rainy day. It took 4 calls to reception and over 4 hours to get someone to come look at it. There was no cold water in my room the first day, so yet another call to maintenance so I wasn’t scalded. Overall, a disappointing stay. I won’t be back. …
