This picture is my initial approach to the hotel. I was a little nervous, but I had faith that the Trip Advisor reviews would not lie to me. The hotel is bare bones, but is just fine. The bed was comfy and I was grateful for the mosquito nets and air conditioning. Also the safe in the room. I couldn't...

We had an evening in stone town before an onward international flight the next morning. we arrived late in the evening and were greeted with a friendly smile, helpful staff and yummy cold drink. The room was simple and well equipped with hot water shower, comfortable double bed with mossie net, working air con and a fan. Buffet breakfast was...

Princess Salme was so accommodating and went out of their way to make sure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The rooms were clean and a cleaning service cleaned the room every day. Breakfast was served on a beautiful rooftop overlooking the ocean and the food was delicious. They make a fantastic homemade juice and lots of classic Tanzanian chai...

The hotel is a lovely traditional old building with buckets of character. For instance the bed was hand carved wood. One highlight is the covered rooftop where one may sit at dusk and listen to calls from the 50-odd mosques all around. Refreshments are available there to be signed for and it is also where the superb and very generous...

My friend and I spent one night at Princess Salme Inn. The staff Juma and Getrude were so loving and Friendly. They were so supportive in giving us information about the places we wanted to go. In tge morning we had a lovely fruit breakfast, with chapatti and fried eggs. We promised to come back sometime.

People in princess Salme offered us very friendly and warming welcome. And they are very accountable! Very easy in communication. And we are very satisfied about the service as well as the location which only take 15 mins walking to the garden (special hire is also an alternative)

We walked around stone town looking for a good place to stay, and we settled on this little spot. The other hotels are bigger and have better decor, but we preferred the intimate feel. The owners are extremely friendly and will go out of their way to help you, the rooms are clean, the beds comfortable and the showers are...

The room was clean and the hotel location is very strategic if you plan to see the sights in stone town, including a visit to forodhani gardens food market at night (a highlight of our visit) , the museum, old fort among other places. The breakfast was delicious and fresh and was served at the rooftop which allowed for an...

My husband and I had a great stay at Princess Salme Inn. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. The breakfast was great and everything was very clean. It seems that the guesthouse is primarily used for people waiting to take a ferry but we used it as our base to explore the island. It's very convenient to the market...
