We wanted to at least see stone town so booked a night here; it's a good location within walking distance of all the sights. Friendly staff and top notch breakfast on the roof terrace. Rooms were small but clean and good value for the price. Easy to arrange a day trip with the hotel for the next day and get...

Super welcoming staff went well above our expectations to accommodate our family. We loved the delicious breakfast with a view. Facilities were all super clean and the place itself is easy to find and located steps away from the important sights of the Stone Town. Felt totally safe walking around the neighborhood at night. We were meant to be picked...

This is the third time we have stayed at Princess Salme and as usual, their service was wonderful, the staff friendly and extremely helpful. We stayed in a double room with ensuite and it was spacious, clean and we felt very secure. We love the breakfast on the rooftop, wonderful food and plenty of it. The location is great, especially...

Although it was difficult to find, the location is good as it's right by the ferry and the main road but a very quiet location. The rooms are basic but fine (and although booking.com said the room is en-suite it wasn't). Great shower - the best I had in Zanzibar - with good water pressure and hot water. Nice rooftop...

On the plus side - very good shower, comfy rooftop seating area, wifi (reasonably reliable), very close to ferry terminal and seafront, excellent/plentiful breakfast, friendly and helpful staff, nice atmosphere, quiet at night. On the negative side - our room wasnt as nicely presented as the ones in the photos! Rooms are quite basic, ours was small, and a bit...

Our hosts were extremely welcoming and informative. The building itself is really interesting - the rooms are pokey but comfortable and clean. Breakfast was lovely and transfers/day trips very easy to organise. Would definitely recommend.

Despite the initial facade, this stay was a dream. Having said this I don't think it was the decor that made this stay so lovely (although the decor is nice and simple) but instead it was the charming attitude of the staff. They offered endless help and advice, and helped cater for all needs. Couldn't recommend more!

After the trials of the Zanzibar ferry we couldn't have been more pleased to arrive to the gorgeous Princess Salme. The roof terrace where you eat breakfast has a beautiful view over the harbour. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and organised many things to make our stay in stone town very enjoyable. The shower in our room was...

This picture is my initial approach to the hotel. I was a little nervous, but I had faith that the Trip Advisor reviews would not lie to me. The hotel is bare bones, but is just fine. The bed was comfy and I was grateful for the mosquito nets and air conditioning. Also the safe in the room. I couldn't...
