This simple three floors hostel is very cozy. It's build in an old house Zanzibar style. The rooms have air conditioner and their terrace upstairs is maybe the coziest you will find in this region . Walking distance to the old stone town (about ten minutes walking) . The breakfast is surprisingly good (home made chapati and other local "breads",...

Nice place and helpful staff, fair price. It was clean and the room and the terrace were very nice, we recommend it and would come back. The breakfast is really good and it is well located, close to the main points.

The backpackers lodge is within walking distance of the Harbor making it ideal for a one night stop over. Quirky rooms. I was disappointed to find lots of ants in our room. Breakfast was okay. Good value for money.

Great breakfast on the rooftop; clean; very nice and helpful staff; cold drinks available for small extra charge. I can fully recommend the accomomodation! It is about 10-15 to walk to the House of wonders, so not absolutely central.

The hotel is centrally located close to the port. The staff was very friendly, helpful and willing to give information for everything we needed. On the other hand, the hotel is too old, rooms small and although we booked 2 rooms with view, none of them had a view. For sure, a renovation is needed especially to the bathrooms. If...

We stayed here for three nights while visiting Zanzibar. The inn is a 5 min walk from the ferry terminal and quite easy to find (read other reviews and you'll see the pictures of the alley - which is not at all sketchy as some have stated). The room was basic, but clean. The towels were new. We had a...

Place doesn't live up to the ridiculousness of a fancy Tanzanian lodge, but the room was really nice, the breakfast was pretty good, and the whole place has a really nice quirky feel. Can't imagine a better deal for 20-50 dollars. I spent a lot of time on the balcony roof thing drinking free coffee. The staff was also surprisingly...

I expected slightly more even though I knew it was a budget place. They ran out of hot water rather quickly but after an hour or so it came back. We enjoyed the breakfast on the rooftop and the staff was also friendly. The location is good for discovering Stone Town but I wouldn't recommend staying here more than a...

We wanted to at least see stone town so booked a night here; it's a good location within walking distance of all the sights. Friendly staff and top notch breakfast on the roof terrace. Rooms were small but clean and good value for the price. Easy to arrange a day trip with the hotel for the next day and get...
