At first Rosa - the lovey and helpful manager of the location - hoped that the water company would be able to fix so provided, but when it turned out otherwise, she relocated us to a sister resort slightly outside of the city and provided us dinner...

The place is very clean. But our AC was not working and it was too hot and we had a 2 years old child. We reported the problem and they said it is the remote and we got a new one. Then in the middle of the night it stopped working again. Called reception, no response, called owner no response....

Very good place to stay in Stone Town. Clean rooms, well maintained, very good varied breakfast, friendly people. I have stayed here for a night during the last part of my trip, returning from the island of Pemba, for two consecutive years (May 2014 and March 2015) and find it very good value for money, around $50 each time. Both...

The Rosal stonetown hotel hosts, Rozy and Alnashir, are probably the most friendly hosts one can ever meet. They are warm, hospitable and wonderful people who go out of their way to make you comfortable and to help you in arranging trips to spice tours, Prison Island, tours around the famous stone town of Zanzibar or to the famous beaches...

We purposely chose this hotel to start our holiday in Zanzibar to be followed by Tanzania mainland, after the various reviews on Trip Adviser. We spent 2 nights before travelling north on the island. If we had more time we would have loved to have spent more time at The Rosal Stone Town Hotel. Great spot within walking distance of...

We stayed at the Rosal for 2 nights in December 2014, and were delighted with the experience. This small, boutique hotel is well-priced and situated right in the middle of Zanzibar's historic Stone Town district. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We really appreciated the hot water for showers. Breakfast on the rooftop was something we looked forward to each...

“I had room 7 on level 1. It was on the side of the building along an alley way. It had two windows in it, however, they don't open and I didn't need them to! There is great aircon in the room and I was only in the room to sleep. There is WIFI on each level so everyone has great service no matter what room you're in.”
