Really confusing layout, and I mean really confusing. The quality of the rooms really varied. The staff was not all that friendly nor were they too helpful. Prime location in Stone Town. One of the best breakfasts I had in Africa, so there is that. WiFi worked ok (but not very fast) in the lobby. Fine for one night, which... More

Stayed here as our safari tour moved to Zanzibar! We had spent a week camping so any hotel would have been luxury but this was lovely. Our room was massive and the bed so comfortable. It is right in the centre of stone town so very conveniently located.

Hotel is in a great position in Stonetown right in the heart of the shopping/food street. Stayed here for two different nights with G Adventures. The first room I had was huge and appeared to be a suite with a little balcony and views. Large bathroom, fridge, TV and a comfortable double bed. Super happy with this. The furniture and... More

Started a 7 week tour through Africa and this was the best hotel we had come across 2 weeks into the trip. Excellent location right in the heart of stone town. ATM just next door, and currency exchanges minutes away. Cafes, restaurants, shops, markets just down the street. The waterfront and night markets a short walk away. Stayed here twice,... More

Breakfast was really good I really enjoyed it. It's really closed to down town and right beside is atm what is handy. Only 2... More

The hotel doesn't look much on the outside. It's a bit better on the inside. It's easy to get lost in the many hallways on each floor. Big plus for a working, though quite noisy air conditioning. The breakfast isn't anything special. On the positive side: the hotel's perfect location in Stonetown.

Stayed here for 3 nights while on tour with G Adventures. The lobby is gorgeous with the carved wood and we were so thankful for the air conditioning as Zanzibar is incredibly muggy (hard on this poor Canadian lol!). The room was very large and the beds were comfortable with clean bedding. The shower left something to be desired but... More
