Hotel next to the ferry port. Pros: -. Very close to the ferry port, good for walking from the port to the ferry if one takes the first ferry in the morning. -. Nice staff. -. Good breakfast with really nice views from the rooftop. -. Air con in the rooms, something useful to decrease a little bit the temperature...

I booked online because the price was ridiculously good, and was pleasantly surprised when I arrived. The location is in the north corner of Stone Town, quite a grungy, authentic and un-touristy area, close to the Port and a short walk from the ferry terminal. I flew in and was transferred free from the airport. My room was spacious, clean,...

Me and my boyfriend we spent 3 nights in this hotel. The rooms are acceptable let's say. However their service is really poor. We booked with them a day trip to Prision Island as we thought that it would be more comfortable to book it through the hotel rather than through an agent on the streets. However, I would never...

I can handle the dirty switches, bathroom that have seen a cleansing agent maybe from Shinkansen at full speed, crawling bugs, broken amenities, but possible blood stains on bed linen not that much. So far the worse experience in my entire life. Yes, I admit, the next day, as they claimed full occupancy that night, they gave us a different...

On arriving very tired after overnight flight and then ferry the free pick up service was very appreciated and to our surprise our room was ready on arrival at 9.30am. Our room had a balcony overlooking the show habour and sea was lovely. The room was big and so was bathroom and the shower had really decent pressure. Breakfast was...

I was a solo traveler on a budget, this place was recommended by the Zanzibar Information Office at the Port, they helped to talk to the owner who gave me a discount. I accidentally got wet paint on my hands and one of the ladies assisted me to wash it off, the friendly gentleman at the reception spoke really good...

I checked out a few hotels in the Malindi area and got the best vibes here from the staff. It was a good choice as the staff were always helpful, including when booking a spice tour. The hotel is within relatively easy walking distance of the ferry port, although it can be a bit tricky to find the first time....

We stayed here for a couple of nights before our flights after having moved around the island. The rooms are basic but comfortable. The place is in a good location, walking distance from the seafront and attractions. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was good and filling for the amount you are paying. The only thing...

We stayed at Funguni Palace Hotel for 3 nights. Simple, clean and cheap (shared a triple room and the rates even beat the hostel dorms). Basic breakfast (fresh fruit, juice, eggs and toast) provided on roof top. Pro's: - Cheap - Located within 5min of ferry port (to Dar). - Nice little roof top for breakfast - Free airport transfers...
