Stayed here with my wife during a recent visit to Zanzibar. Our room was pretty standard. Good breakfast in the morning, but again not super special. Everyone working there was very nice. From the hotel, it is easy to get to the main shopping areas in StoneTown. Probably wouldn't stay here again as we found another place for about the... More

Don't believe the tortoise pictures....they're on prison island not at the hotel. It was good, comfortable, clean. Nothing special though. Breakfasts were as you would expect - fruit and eggs. Just a short walk into town to all of the main attractions.

I wanted a small, local hotel and Hiliki House fitted the bill. In Stonetown but away from the downtown area, it is a comfortable walking distance into town. The room was clean and comfortable, with two double beds, each with well-fitted mosquito nets. The separate bathroom was also clean. The shower was a little temperamental, and you have to wait... Completely lovely spot, and reasonably-priced. The room was immaculate and had a nice layout. It's not in the heart of Stone Town but really quite a nice location, quiet but still close to everything. The manager was warm and helpful.

We enjoyed our stay at hiliki house. It is set in a nice location, close to everything not noisy. The breakfast was lovely and we liked having access to the fridge and honor bar for waters/sodas/beer. The room itself had a nice atmosphere.

Hiliki House was just perfect! We spent there 2 nights in a very nice room with a big bed, air conditioning, great bathroom and lots of space. Aboud and his team made our stay very comfortable. The house is an old building so it has lots of charme. The livingroom, where also the breakfast is served, is really nice with... More

Conveniently located, well-managed, beautiful aesthetics, and good breakfast. Aboud the manager will go out of his way to make sure you have the perfect stay. Highly recommended. We stayed in the first floor room 5 with the bathroom across the hall, and it was fine. Note to lone female travelers that the hotel is located in a pretty quiet dark... More

This is an old building with old furniture and old fittings so you would want to experience the historic charm to stay here, if not, you would find it very basic. In the room there is no fridge, kettle, safe, hair-dryer etc and the shower is one of those feeble ones where you are not sure whether you are getting... More

We spent 3 nights at Hiliki House in July 2015. The price was very reasonable which made me to expect a reasonable accommodation. I was wrong. We stayed with another couple (in separate rooms) arriving late at night. We were met at the airport as we had arranged prior to leaving Australia. Upon arrival we were greeted with an authentic... My boyfriend and I stayed here for two nights. The owner was very helpful with booking a great city tour guide (Alex) for us and even arranged a taxa to the airport in the middel of the night. Super clean and cozy rooms and delicious breakfast.
