We had a wonderful five-night honeymoon at the Siwandu camp and had a truly unforgettable experience. The tent was fantastic; very spacious and stylishly done. Our guide (Walter) for the game drives was wonderful, our host (Emile) was warm and very knowledgeable about wildlife and our butler (Mohamed) was a dear friend by the end of our stay. The food...

Our first stop on our safari holiday was Siwandu Lodge. We had expected it to be lovely but were blown away from the moment we were greeted with cool towels and a refreshing drink to being taken to our tent. The tent was incredibly welcoming and beautifully set up with the opportunity to look out on all sides of the...

This place is really amazing. The service is excellent and the game viewing was superb. Many special surprises from the management combined with the amazing food from the Chef make this an easy choice if coming to the Selous. I really could not imagine it being any better. Dear Nicholas M Thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely review of Siwandu - June is a wonderful time of year to come to Selous - as you say the temperature is cooler than many other months and after the rains the game reserve is still quite green. At the advice of our travel agent we decided to skip Serengeti and go to the Selous game reserve instead for our Tanzania Safari. Dear vinker Thank you so much for your wonderful review and we are exceedingly pleased you chose Selous over the Serengeti! Even though the south is considered the second circuit we are by no means the north's inferior - our diverse wildlife, majestic views, less visitor numbers and quiet landscape are encouraging more guests to experience this slice of heaven....

Possibly the most amazing place ever. The staff are fantastic. The guides are knowledgable and friendly. The tents are so luxurious that they can hardly be described as tents. The food is amazing. We would sit having lunch as elephants and impala walked passed by the lake. We could sit in our tent and watch the animals down by the...
