We stayed for 2 nights at the siwandu camp with our two boys (14 and 12). The camp is very luxurious. The tents are stunning with wonderful elevated decks looking out to the lake. Outdoor showers (plenty of hot water) are very private and spacious. I loved the authentic safari decor. The beds, however, aren't the most comfortable and quite... More

We visited suwandu as the second stop on our honeymoon following a few days in another selous camp 'Azura'. We completed a day game drive to transfer camps with the final destination as siwandu. Our welcome was warm and friendly and Emma and the team looked after us really well. We only had 1.5 days in siwandu to explore the... More

Thank you so much for your lovely review of SIwandu and most interesting comparing both areas of Selous - and we are lucky enough to be exceedingly well appointed in the prime game area of Selous, especially as the dry season progresses and the Rufiji ebbs away the animals congregate around the main water sources of the lakes - which... That experience of getting the "hodi hodi" at dawn by your butler who delivers your fresh coffee or tea and you can lie back and watch the animals slowly heading towards the lake side grazing and sipping the water as you nibble on the baked biscuits - absolutely marvellous and an experience that cannot be beaten in our view!
