We visited the Serena Mivumo Lodge for 1 night for a Safari and what we got exceeded expectations by considerable proportions.

What followed the next morning was...More

I visited last year and unless you are VERY familiar with the area/ roads, I wouldn’t drive. We flew into Dar es Salaam and then took a small plane to an air strip near Mivumo and then the staff picked us up and took us by Jeep to the lodge. We only ever saw resort Jeeps in the park and didn’t see any people driving themselves because the “roads” aren’t necessarily marked. Good luck!
