We spent four nights in Manze camp. A real trip to the bush, we experienced what we feel is real Africa, the contact with Nature is extraordinary, the tents are comfortable although they feel basic, everything necessary is there (the lack of electricity and wifi adds more contact with nature). The managers are welcoming, the staff always available, the Masai give a...

We have spent two wonderful days in the heart of Selous Park and we have felt very securely in direct touch of nature. The camp and tents are well located with variety of possible activities. We chose the game ride and boat trip. All possible services were proposed by camp. The managers of the camp, Millie and Shaun are friendly...

We are from Scotland, so it takes quite a while to even get to Dar Es Salam and getting through the airport is quite an experience. Once you are past control, the holiday really starts with a 40 minute flight into the bush with Coastal Aviation, the views are stunning. At the airstrip, we were met by two guides from...

Hi guys We are in the fortunate position where we have inherited a great bunch of staff that really enjoy what they do . The guides and drivers have this uncanny ability to make all our guests feel at home and are not shy to impart as much knowledge as possible. Tends are very confortable, with terrace, toilette and shower with nice details. The tend was 5 minutes walking from the restaurant, but masai were there to ensure your safety. Delicious meals at the restaurants with the nice owners and other guests. All the safaris (boat and drive) were organized from the camp. Just 2 remarks: the motor of the boat...

Hi guys The Masai are fantastic to have around as our security where they take you basically on a nature walk from camp to tent and back. Their confidence in their ability to understand nature still astounds us all. We do apologize for the boat motor which has subsequently been repaired and found to have some dirt in the carburetor....

What more can be said about this incredibly rustic, intimate and welcoming accommodation. My wife and I had fairly high expectations before arriving, and yet our experience exceeded them! Joseph (guide) and Daniel (driver) were extremely knowledgeable, helpful, informative and generally warm people who ensured we had one of the most exhilarating and enjoyable experiences of our lives. Camels galloping along the runway on arrival, several Prides of Lions, baby elephants playing in the mud, just about every type of animal you'd expect to find in this area. This camp exceeded our expectations. Our guides, Alfred and Zahor, were fabulous; personable and fun. We are birders, so just as interested in the birds as the animals. Both Alfred and Zahor knew their birds and made the trip a wonderful experience. The host managers, Sean (Shawn) and Millie were also engaging and made the meal times a fun and...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Lake Manze - Experience adventure! Keep it natural! Feel the thrills of having an elephant eating Doum palm seeds right outside your tent. Hear the sound of its rumbling stomach and see how tender a mother is to her calf. We have so much to learn from our animal friends, teachings that can help us create a better world. We keep everything as it was before we arrived and this is why animals use the camp as much as our guests. Experience this magical, romantic camp on the shore of the Lake Manze with stunning lake views from your own veranda. Experience the sunrise on a walking safari. Enjoy a delicious picnic bush breakfast or lunch during your game drive as you spot lions and wild dogs. Take a fishing trip on the lake. Get close and personal with hippos and crocodiles and thousands of exotic birds on a sunset boat safari. Delight in a sumptuous candlelight dinner on the lake shore to the symphony of the surrounding. You'll never want to leave! ... more   less
