Was looking forward to visiting this location but was dissapointed... The tent: - when getting out of one side of the bed (particularity when the mosquito net was on) you would hit the pole trying to get out - the zipper to the bathroom was broken so no privacy when using the toilet or having a shower - most importantly NO HOT WATER in the shower. We knew it had to run for several minutes but after 10 minutes still nothing. When we mentioned it to the staff they just shrugged their shoulders. Really dissapointing - had glass bottle of filtered water in the room which was great. If you needed more could fill it up in the restaurant - great view from the verandah although seats were too uncomfortable to enjoy it - lots of mosquitos around - no wifi in the tent but was very good in the reception area and loads of seating for people while they used it Restaurant - selection from a set menu for lunch which was tasty - dinner was a buffet although not alot of variety. This could be that there was not alot of people staying. Food was hot and delicious, also had plain vegetables and meat which was a nice change from some of the rich food we have been stuck with - breakfast was also limited but food was still good - service was great, quick, prompt and friendly - lots of mosquitoes - Sunday dinner we were lucky enough to have the local church choir sing and entertain for us. Only thing I didn't like was they were standing out in the dark and not under the cover where we were eating. Almost felt they weren't good enough to join us in the main eating area - it wasn't a good look and think this should definately be changed Yes the road in was bumpy, but so is everywhere you go so didn't actually think this was an issue One of our group paid with credit card and they had some issues trying to get connection to process it. It eventually went through but just be aware We paid in US dollars with no issues

We stopped here as part of pur Bench Africa trip. The Lake itself was not too exciting after the Serengetti so not overly worth the visit. The accommodation itself was ok. Beds were very hard and water on a timer so not always hot. This was however one of the only places where the buffet food was hot.

When you arrive at your accommodation, you are rewarded with the most magnificent views above the Rift Valley and Lake Manyara in the distance. Friendly staff, efficient checking in and swiftly shown to our accommodation. Our tented accommodation was nestled among trees and shrubs on the highest level, and was lovely and secluded. It had a good sized balcony for relaxing and taking in the views and watching the bird life .The tent was well furnished, with very comfortable beds (supplied mosquito spray for when you closed the net round your beds at night). Despite being solar powered, we had lots of hot water. Water for drinking was supplied in a jug. Only things absent was hairdryer and kettle, not that it bothered us - just mentioning for reference. Dining was in a thatched open area overlooking the Rift Valley, Food was self service with a chef station and was delicious. A special mention to all the catering and serving staff who organised a surprise cake to celebrate my husbands birthday and our Ruby wedding (my regret was that I didn't get to video it!). There is a fantastic thatched, well stocked bar overlooking the valley. In darkness, you are escorted back to your tents by Maasai security guards, who patrol the lodge area. We fell asleep listening to the local singing of the Maasai from their nearby villages, and awoke to them welcoming in the dawn. I would recommend this as a place to visit the Lake Manyara National Park.

Located slightly outside the Manyara park, Kirurumu Manayara Lodge is just a place of paradise. You have the feeling to be alone in the middle of the nature with a nice view on Manyara Lake. The decoration is superbe and matches perfectly the natural element. Foods are simply the best in Tanzania so far, lunch, dinner and breakfast. And more importantly people took great care of us. I strongly recommend this place. Pascale from France

We stay at Kirurumu and we really enjoy the place. We stay in the tent and we feel very well. It's a different way of accommodation but we rarely loved. Very clean, beautiful resort, and very good services. Hospitality at the high level. Breakfast was very basic but ok. We love very much.
