We stayed ìn this hotel for 13 nights in room 705.My room was beautiful and fancy, from there we could walk straight into the garden and helipad. We had a wonderful stay as  the hotel had all the facilities. They had different activities for all age groups everyday.Nice trek to the top of the hill. One does not need to step out of this property. They have a kid club and gym The water aerobics was fun.The Beach is connected to the hotel.Make sure to wear beach shoes or else might get hurt with the rocks while entering in. The highlight was Indian food.Chef Ram used to prepare the tastiest Indian food.He made us feel at home. The hotel staff took very good care of us.Special thanks to house keeping staff Sabrina Loze. They made our stay very Comfortable. Thanks to to the guest relations manager Edrina and  Mr.Loy in charge of security. The staff became like my extended family. Looking forward to coming back and staying again.

It’s not my habit to post bad reviews or even reviews at all, but I would like to share my bad experience. Where to start? I have traveled around the world on all continents and this is by far my worst stay. First of all this hotel does not deserve his 5 stars. What about the staff who don't even say a little Hello. I was well educated and consider myself a polite person and at the Kempinski I felt like I always bother the staff. You don't feel out of place there. No smile, never a hello or goodbye as I say hello to everyone I meet in my life. Fortunately there were ASHEN and SHAKHAR who are lovely and caring people! I thank them very very much they made my stay less horrible .. then the worst thing that still today when I came back shocked me, the establishment serves halal meat, which is also why I chose it as well as for its location, so how do you explain that as a muslim it is not possible to have breakfast at 4 am during Ramadan?! It was when I arrived at the hotel that I was told at reception that it was not possible to serve breakfast before 7am, or it will be in your room for a fee for each product! You should know that I had booked a room with breakfast and dinner or half board. It's a shame!! Then concerning the cleaning in the room, every day when entering the room there was something missing! Either toilet paper, or handkerchiefs, or bathroom items, or even towels! Even in the worst of 1 * there is at least 1 towel per person. This is not the case with the Kempinski who surely judges that one does not need towels. There was a day when there were ZERO towels in the room. SO PLEASE NOTE If you want to have a great vacation without having people who sulking all day and without problems go your way. Instead of relaxing for a week I spent my time getting nervous because every day something was wrong at this hotel. I never see this in my wole life in a hotel. Shame oh shame. I add this hotel is MUSLIM NO FRIENDLY at all. Oh yes the only positive point is the location of the hotel on the wonderful Baie Lazare.

The property has a lot of potential but expected more from the Kempinksi brand. I received numerous emails before arriving on property to encourage me to add an additional night if I was checking out late and ask certain questions like where we celebrating anything special. Never in those emails was I told I had to reserve the spa experience I pre-purchased so of course once on site we were unable to utilize as they had absolutely no availability. The front desk person said she would check first thing at 8am when the spa opened to see if there were any cancellations. She also said since we were gold members we had special perks like coffee and pastries delivered in the am with a wake up call. I set that up for 7am and no wake up call or coffee and pastries ever arrived. I also checked in at 9am with the spa and no one had called to see if there were any cancellations on our behalf as promised. When I expressed concern later that day a front desk manager called me and said there had been a cancellation at 11am but they were unable to locate us. There was no voicemail message left or phone call on my cell phone which they had on file which leads me to believe this was a lie. When asked why no messages were left she replied, let me look into this further and call you back. I never heard from her again. Majority of the staff seemed irritated to be doing their job (with the exception of housekeeping and maintenance, they were great). The level of customer service here is highly lacking. I get that we are in unique times with covid but this starts at the top and I honestly believe we would have had the same experience post pandemic. The construction going on was not a problem at all and barely noticeable so I commend you for that. Coming from a hospitality background and reviewing hotels for a living this property needs staff training or incentives so they are excited to provide better customer service. You can tell most do not enjoy their job. Also, why ask if we are celebrating anything if absolutely no one cares? I booked a couples massage for my husbands 50th and couldnt even get that.

It my first day here at Kempinski. When my husband and I came to the lobby we faced with big group of tourists who were waiting for checkin. It means that qualification of the staff is so low because they were not ready for checkin in time. The manager at the reception told me to wait cuz cleaning is still under process. For now I’m already waiting for 40 minutes, I had a long way and wanted to take shower and relax. Moreover we have honeymoon, seems it was mistake to choose Kempinski on Seychelles. I couldn’t imagine that such situation happen in 5 star hotel. This day MoD was Wilby Volecer( sorry if some incorrects in name ). Also in the lobby were a lot of mess cuz of construction works. I’m really sorry that 5 star hotel has such low level of service. Best regards, Ms Tot Lili and Polyakov Gennady

Response from Hany Abdelmoneim, General Manager at Kempinski Seychelles Resort
Responded 3 days ago
Dear Lilysha58, Thank you very much for your recent stay with us here at Kempinski Seychelles Resort and taking your valuable time to leave a feedback here on TripAdvisor. We regret to see your rather restrained score of 1/5. After our check, we learnt that indeed upon your check-in the desks were busy with both check-ins and check-outs. We do apologise for the inconveniences caused as a core aim is to provide our guests with quality service. The manager on duty was indeed Mr. Wilby Volcere and we learnt that he approached you to explain the situation. The resort is currently undergoing modernisation works in the lobby and food outlets and the same is expected to be completed by August 2021. By then we expect to have two additional desks that will facilitate the check-in and check-out of our esteemed guests. Once again, thank you for choosing our resort and for providing your valuable comments. As you are still with us, we would gladly meet with you to further ensure that you are satisfied with the rest of your stay. Until then we remain with tropical regards and stay healthy, Hany Abdelmoneim, General Manager

The hotel is overall very beautiful, with a nice view, okay rooms and an overall pleasant atmosphere. The food was alright, but nothing worth 5 stars, and the people were nice. The troubles started with the very first evening we got here. Me and my daughter wanted to come for a trip. 1) When we arrived, we waited for around an hour for us to finally receive our room cards, but alright, we did not want to say much, things happen after all. 2) Even though the staff was very kind and always wore a smile, they worked slowly and we would often need to wait for 1-2 hours for things to be done. We even ordered 2 coconuts and it took them 50 minutes to come back and tell us that they were out. While we were waiting in the hot climate sun and burning. They did not even apologize... And when asked for a receipt- another 1 hour to wait. 3) Not only slow, but also often ignored the guests. We, as well as a few other people by the looks of it, had to go get our own water when that was something everyone got when they sat down by a table. Often they would not come up and ask if we wanted to drink anything (juice, wine, coffee - whatever). Guests had to go seek for menus themselves because the staff is not properly managed. 4) It is.. the 4th day (?) of our vacation and wow! Suddenly on the beach we hear loud music. Everyone was shocked when simply a band of some young adults were playing loud music throughout the entire beach with their technologies. They didn’t quiet down and the hotel staff did nothing to stop them, even though a lot of people didn’t seem to be pleased, including us, of course. Not only that, but they also got drunk, so it just made the whole situation even more difficult. 5) Oh! Almost forgot. Ever needed to change money from your currency to theirs, so you’d be able to pay and give people cash for their good work. Well. Come here no more, as they often do not have any money to change and many guests stayed without money... We had problems with this each time we tried to change money. One time it took us 2 full days to even get a bit of money back from them. 6) You know, this whole pandemic thing - Covid 19? Right. So, to travel back to any country, in our case to our home town, you have to have a negative covid test 72 hours before your flight. Okay! So 4 days before we have to go, we book a time (to have our test taken at 13.00 o’clock). Great! Well, the next day comes and here it is... 13.00. Let’s say - they had forgotten. How pleasant. But alright, 30 minutes later, we get our test. Ask them when it would be ready and they say - “Tomorrow at 12-13.00” and we need that test, our country requires the documents to be ready 2 days before. The next day comes and at 13.21 pm we head to the reception to get our documents. Well, it is not ready, but they said it would be ready anytime soon and told us that they would even bring the documents printed out to our room! Sounded good. Made it easy for us. Weren’t we once again hopeful that we would not need to complain... Well! To summarize - we got out documents at 18.50 pm and we needed to fill out the papers in the late evening after our dinner at the beautiful working time of 9.17 pm. Did I forget to mention that to take our tests it cost us 407 euros? Yeah. Ain’t that a lot of money to spend on this... Let’s just say, it has potential. It really does. The hotel is well made, but the main issue is with management. Which is a core problem for a hotel of this state. At best, we would rate it with 3 stars. No more. We were not angry, simply very, very disappointed. To spend this much money on a holiday and be treated like this... Honestly sad. Me and my daughter were stressed our during the whole vacation and felt sick afterwards :( Be careful if you come here, it is a beautiful place, but not worth the money nor your patience and sanity.
