Kempinski Seychelles Resort is celebrated for its comfortable and stylish rooms, with many guests applauding its cleanliness; rooms are often refreshed twice daily. The serene and romantic atmosphere is enhanced by a private beach and live music, creating an intimate escape.
While the resort's amenities, including diverse facilities and attentive service, receive high marks, some visitors suggest improvements in room service and beach staff efficiency. Despite its secluded location offering tranquility, the value proposition is questioned by guests who find food and beverages overpriced.

Detailed Reviews
Our stay in Seychelles was one of the most unique experiences mostly because of the absolutely stunning Kempinski resort. The things we appreciated most were the excellent timely service by staff, including the follow-up on every single request, the very helpful guidance from the pleasant staff in all facilities, and the friendly and polite attitude. We also very much appreciated the cleanliness of the place, receiving room service twice a day was very much appreciated and something we didn’t experience in other places in the world. Food was great, the diversity of choices and freshness of food was such a delight every day, we specifically enjoyed the fresh bakery and fruits bar. We enjoyed the theme nights with local music and dancing, and the live bands, which was provided twice during our stay. The modern technology used including providing contactless messages was super unique and convenient. Resort facilities are very modern, clean, easily accessible, and absolutely stunning, frankly, we almost didn’t need to leave the compound when everything was available, and even when we needed to go places, help was always provided, also, being offered a golf cart ride to our room when needed was so much fun.
What we felt was missing was more options for swimming pool areas, we felt one pool option was limiting and the location of it was not the best since it was quite close to the stairs and the restaurant area, while it is beautiful, it was not enough for such a big resort with not enough privacy in terms of location. We don’t necessarily feel we needed a pool per room, we just thought more common pool areas in different locations would be good. Another thing we felt was badly needed for a fully enjoyable experience was to provide an organised airport shuttle with the hotel name to make the ride as safe and easy as possible at first instance at arrival, we noticed that the Four seasons was providing that we their agent waiting at the arrival hall with the hotel sign, that would have been great to have really. We also didn’t enjoy the experience with the travel agent, for the price we paid, the experience was quite bad, for example, while we paid same rate as others, some people received first class ride at the boat to Praslain while we received a lower class, also, the lunch provided was very bad, cold and the place was not clean, we also felt the programme was not clear at all, we timely very tight, and the activities were not diverse (we pretty much spent it on the bus or on the boat), for the price we paid, it was not worth it at all, we sincerely advise you to contract a different travel agent, or at least to ask guests for a survey after taking the journey, I know we were not the only ones who were disappointed with the trip.

+1
We stayed here at the beginning of March and we loved the customer service and exceptional food especially at the Windsong beach restaurant. Hot stone steak and fish are definitely worth to try. Tasting menu in the L'Indochine restaurant was good but there is a room for improvement. Some of the dishes would benefit from more varied ingredients and improved flavour balance.
The hotel grounds are kept in order and well maintained at all times and due to it's size is really impressive. The Kempinski mount offers great views across the complex and you can attend yoga or pilates on the hill every morning where you are taken by excellent instructor - Kenny. He is very enthusiastic and have a great sense of humour so the time spent with him was really good despite the fact I don't like early wake up and exercises ;)
All staff is very attentive and helpful. We also met the General Manager - Hany who is doing exceptional job and always make sure the customers are happy. We even got our favourite desserts brought especially for us from another restaurant. This was amazing!
Rooms are very large, furnished with style and comfortable. They are cleaned twice a day and offers great views of the beach.
Beach is kept clean and the sunbeds are conveniently hidden between palm trees which gives you more privacy. There is a complimentary water, towels, sun cream, etc. provided to your sunbed.
Overall this is an excellent hotel and we can go back there anytime.
Thank you for making my 40th birthday special!

Dear Piotr, I am glad that you felt so well taken care of by our friendly team members, and that you enjoyed our offerings from Windsong Beach Restaurant. This beachside dining venue is a true favourite with our guests, who enjoy the relaxed al fresco set-up and proximity to the ocean. It is wonderful to hear that you were made to feel so at home, and that you were able to make the most of so many of our remarkable facilities, including our beach service, nature walks and Yoga on the Kempinski Mountain ! I am also sorry that you were not entirely satisfied with the the quality of food that you experienced at our L'Indochine restaurant. The training and retraining of staff is an ongoing process that we will surely revise based on your feedback. I do hope that one day we can welcome you back to the Seychelles and back to our hotel for more breathtaking views, friendly service, lively activities and unforgettable experiences. Warm regards Hany Abdelmoneim

Kindness of all the staff, make your stay very pleasant. The room is spacious, with good views. Very comfortable pillows and bed. We were on half board. Breakfast & dinner were delicious. Entertainment: Every two days live music, also you can play snooker and board games. Amazing gym and two tennis courts. Sometimes you had to stand behind the housekeeper to get shower gels and the right number of towels, other times they forgot to leave hand or face towels and they gave us more bath towels. Price of drinks and meal are very expensive, but in general, Seychelles is not a cheap destination: expensive taxis, food and especially drinks, almost prohibitive. They are remodeling some areas but it isn’t noisy. Kimberly and Irinie were very kind and friendly with us and always were trying to make easy our stay at the hotel.

I am fortunate that I have stayed in some of the best 5 star hotels across the world ,this is definitely not one of them , it is a high end 4 star or low end 5 star .The initial impression is very typical of the region ,tropical open style reception the check on however is not there is not the personal check in nor a welcome drink or cold towels possibly as a result of the COVID 19 situation , but having to wheel our own Bali gage to the room and in the case of our companions struggle with them up flights of stairs while a staff member looked on is unacceptable for a hotel at this price point. The room itself was fairly standard apart from the damp smell coming from the cabinets it was quite spacious and comfortably furnished. The line was of a good standard and the sleep quality was good connectivity was however excellent. The bath was of a similar standard with average quality toiletries and reasonable quality towels ,water pressure was good with multi head shower. There is a complimentary breakfast as well as an evening buffet restaurant both are very ordinary and run on a chef service basis due to COVID 19 most items tended to be of the cheaper variety although presentation was pleasant ,for non dessert eaters like me the fresh fruit was terrible being tasteless and boring. In short we really felt this property was a disappointment and how some reviews can refer to the hotel is beyond me perhaps it’s a matter of previous comparative experiences . We won’t be coming back anytime soon

Dear Martin aryeh W, First of all, thank you very much for your stay with us and taking your valuable time to share your feedback on TripAdvisor. We regret to remark your rather restrained rating of 3/5 reflecting that we were not able to meet your expectations. Please accept our apologies for the unpleasant arrival experience and rest assured that this does not represent our standard. Your comment has been shared with the Front Office team in order to avoid any similar situations in the future for other guests. Furthermore, we would like to inform you that the hotel is recently undergoing a hotel modernisation, including the rooms, to ensure also the highest standard and being up to date in the future. Your statement about the limited selection, especially when it comes to the fruit selection, has been noted and communicated to our kitchen team to take a further look into this. Still, we kindly ask you to consider the import possibilities during this time to the island, what was very challenging for our culinary team. They still tried their utmost to get everything what was available in the market, still sometimes it is very limited. Please do not understand this as an excuse rather as a further explanation for your reference. Regardless of some situations, it would be our pleasure to have the chance of welcoming you again here at our hotel and convince you of the authentic and high quality hospitality that we are well known for. Until then we remain with best regards and stay healthy, Hany Abdelmoneim General Manager

We spent 2 weeks in this paradise... The people there were like family from the start, cannot praise them enough. In the main restaurant, we were taken care of so so well.. I have to mention Sher, Timothy, Shirley and Aman who came to know our likes after a day.. Manoj was superb and really made us feel at home. Prashant and Tushar made special dishes for us, which was heaven..We really looked forward to our meals. Thank you so much.
The room was comfortable and well taken care of.. Both of us had mobility issues but whenever we needed, the buggy or car was sent for us.. They kindly let us use the service elevator to go downstairs for food and the pool, but I would like to suggest that they should make a proper elevator for everyone’s use as at times we felt as if we were intruding. The beach boys and life guards were very helpful. We enjoyed the pool, and would have loved to go in the sea more but could not because as was difficult with the steep slope to the sea.
A big thank you to all for making us so welcome. Well done.

Is only 5 stars all I can give?
Our holiday here has been perfect, in every single way! Location 10/10, Resort 10/10, Beach and Bay 10/10, Recreation & Facilities 10/10, Restaurant & Bar and menu options 10/10, our room 10/10+, but what sets this apart from every other holiday is the staff 10/10++. Amazing teamwork and staff, no matter which resort team or staff member you interface with, everyone has a warm welcome and a willingness to help. GM Hany Abdelmoneim manages an amazing customer first and customer focused team. It’s not really fair to pick any one member out but we do have to give extra special mention to Lavinia who took our initial enquiry call, and delivered over an above our expectations on arrival and throughout our stay, truly exceptional ‘Lady in Red’ from Guest Services, and Charlie the Management Trainee (currently Front of House here as part of his degree studies) with his total attention to detail, and while all team members are always beaming, we’ll never forget Mollys warm and welcoming smile at all times when dining. If you are into scuba diving I completed 4 dives in 4 different locations over 2 days with the dive school (separate but attached to resort, no travel required as dive boats are moored here) here in Baie Lazare, and experienced my first ever shark dive (white tip reef sharks) and it was amazing. I would not hesitate to come back and highly recommend this resort.

My husband and I had originally booked to go to Bali for our honeymoon, but due to their travel restrictions and our lack of time, our agent suggested The Kempinski Seychelles to us. It's not somewhere we had particularly considered but what a happy accident it was. The hotel is beautiful, and our room was stunning, but the staff are really what make the hotel. They are an absolute credit to it. As soon as we arrived the front desk team were wonderful and answered all of our questions. Throughout our stay, each team member was fantastic and could not be more helpful.
What really made our trip was the amazing restaurant team. We were booked on a bed and breakfast basis and informed we could pay for the buffet each night, which we were fine with. We were also expecting it to be pricey but when we received our first bill we immediately decided to upgrade to half board. As vegans, we were not able to take full advantage of the buffet and certainly not to the tune of £137 for a very basic meal. On our second night, Fred, the head waiter came to chat to us. After finding out about our dietary requirements he went above and beyond to ensure we were catered for. Chef Jasser came to our table to inform us he could make us vegan cakes with a range of sorbets, which we were so grateful for and must say, they were so delicious! Sous Chef Ayman allowed his team to cook bespoke meals at our request and we were given dairy free pasta, meat and egg free noodle dishes and Chef Kenny cooked us a gorgeous breadfruit soup and incredible creole vegetable curry that I still can't stop thinking about and should be experienced by everyone! Fred really went the extra mile, it truly made our honeymoon that bit more special and we were so grateful to him and his team.
The hotel beach is beautiful and no matter what time of the day there were always sunbeds available by the pool. The outdoor team were also very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. We definitely appreciated being brought ice cold water throughout the day. If you plan to walk along the beach at night, make sure to take a torch as there are literally thousands of crabs running across the sand, but it's well worth it as the sky is incredible to look at when it's clear.
The Seychelles were amazing and a trip that we will never forget, but we've seen much of what there is to see. I would genuinely go back to the Kempinski just for the amazing hospitality and could not recommend it enough.

We stayed there with family and a baby for five days. The welcome was outstanding and nothing bad to say about the service and care, only good things! We got two adjacent rooms with a shared entrance which made it easier for us. The rooms were perfect, most comfort beds, excellent bathroom, everything very cozy and comfy. Our rooms did not face the ocean but the garden view was not less nice and gives you some reduction in price. The beach was well cared with staff that stood there just to make people happy. There were nice diving facilities and most of all, a wonderful Kids Club, well equipped to stay there all day if needed.
We mostly ate at the beach restaurant which gave excellent food and also had kids menu. Prices, well ..not on the cheap side. The only downside of our stay was the fact that the resort is quite isolated, without a rented car or a taxi, there is no way to travel around.

Myself, together with the rest of the team, are absolutely delighted to have been a part of your family's Seychelles adventure. The Seychelles is usually considered a romantic destination, perfect for couples and honeymooners. While this certainly holds very true, these islands are also an excellent destination for action-packed family getaways. Year-round warm weather and spectacular outdoor adventures means that there are entertaining activities for travellers of every age. And once your kids have tired you out, you can send them to our Kids Club, where we have a range of activities, like giant tortoise feeding, arts and crafts, and Sega Dancing, to keep them busy until sundown. I was pleased to hear that your entire family felt so well taken care of by our friendly team members, and that you enjoyed our offerings from Windsong Beach Restaurant. This beachside dining venue is a true favourite with our guests, who enjoy the relaxed al fresco set-up and proximity to the ocean. I hope that it is not too long until we are able to welcome you back to the Seychelles and back to our hotel. Happy travels. Best regards, Hany Abdelmoneim General Manager

Kempinski has a great location, away from the city centre of Victoria, so the beach is as good as private for hotel guests (all beaches are public in Seychelles)... Special mention to Chef Sajir who took special care of our dietary requirements of healthy vegetarian Indian food... The swimming pool is little under whelming... But then who needs the pool with the open seas available!!

Dear divyanshugarodia Thank you very much for sharing such a wonderful review of our hotel and for sharing such kind words about our exclusive location. Our location in the South-West of Mahé is ideal for those looking to get off the tourist track. We have some of the most beautiful white-sand beaches on the western side of the island, yet are located just 30 minutes away from Seychelles International Airport and are ideally situated for day trips or island-hopping excursions. As you mentioned, our hotel is located on an 800 m stretch of remarkably beautiful beach on the exclusive south-end of Mahé. As we are the only hotel in the bay, the area receives very few outside visitors, and our guests are able to relax and enjoy their time on the beach in relative seclusion. Thank you for sharing this with fellow travellers. I hope that it is not too long until we are able to welcome you back to the Seychelles and back to our hotel. Happy travels. Best regards, Hany Abdelmoneim General Manager

I stayed here with my friend we chose this hotel because they had their own dive & surf school which was amazing for us. The breakfast was amazing variety of tropical fruits & pastries & I loved the fact that staff were serving the food rather than the guests touching the food due to covid. I strangely lost my book on the beach & no one seemed interested to help me staff never bothered so don’t leave valuables on the beach thank god it was just a book! The hotel is secluded so nothing much to do around the area which is why we stayed there for 4days to dive & surf then headed to the north side (Story hotel) to enjoy more liveliness. In the time we went it was the south east monsoon so the ocean was a little rough & it rained a lot but still enjoyable.

Yes they do have showers and a changing room, it's next to reception and bar area.
Kids club is amazing but not for small kids. All kids club usually are for kids from 4 years old. For small one you need Babysiting.
The construction was 2 buildings over. We never heard any construction noise.
You don‘t need an adapter. Hairdryer exist in the bathroom.
Hi, if you can book 30 days in advance, or even better, 90 days, then the dinner is much cheaper. The higher price you mentioned is more likely to be for the Fully Flexible price, or Full Board?
You’ll enjoy eating at Kempinski each night, and keeping with previous answer, Half Board is more than enough. ATB
