The house is very idyllic on the beach opposite Mahe. It has 4 rooms which are tastefully decorated very nicely. The pool is very well maintained and invites you to swim every day.
So we also found it very good with HP, because everything really fit here.

Spent 5 days at Villa de Cerf on honeymoon. Beautiful, charming place, very clean and comfortable. Be prepared for some hidden costs. We had a half board arrangement including breakfast and dinner, but this did not include dinner, and for breakfast, even juice and eggs werent included. Also, you get the sense that they are scrimping on food, the fruits served are in tiny proportions, as is the food at the dinner buffet, and that leaves you feeling short changed.
Also, the two ground floor rooms that are very close to the dining area and pool, with no balcony, but the 2 rooms upstairs are bigger with balconies and spectacular views, yet the cost is the same. Be sure to book the upper rooms.
Otherwise, a lovely secluded place.

My husband and I with out two children spent 4 days on Cerf Island at the Villa de Cerf and have to sincerely say that it was just an amazing place and we will highly re-commend it to any body who wish to spend quality time with their love ones. The food was just amazing and service was great! Every day either for breakfast and or lunch or dinner we really enjoyed the variety of quality dishes been offered. The room was clean and staff really helpful and always willing to help. We had such a great time and would definitely go back again.

We expected good snorkeling, swimming in transparent water and kayaking between the nearby islands. Unfortunately Villa de Cerf was totally disappointing. When we arrived we found dirty ocean, muddy water with sand and seaweeds and high rough waves so no snorkeling or kayaking was possible, even swimming was unpleasant. We booked 2 nights in Villa de Cerf but after all we faced upon arrival we asked the hotel’s owner to cancel the 2nd night. We had a short vacation and would prefer to spend another day somewhere at Mahe rather than in this hotel. But the owner refused to cancel 1 night, she didn’t care about our spoiled vacation, only about getting the money. Also we asked for excursions or boat trips but they couldn’t offer anything. They gave us kayaks next day afternoon “for our responsibility” but we didn’t tried them because the sun was very active and the waves really could be unsafe.
Some more findings about Villa de Cerf:
1. Breakfast and dinner are very poor. Dinner (fish) is refreshed in microwave oven! This was confirmed by hotel staff. It tasted worse than airplane food.
2. Something is constructed near the hotel so you may find excavator right behind the swimming pool.
3. The beach is dirty with seaweeds and rubbish.
4. There is no path to the opposite side of the island anymore, it was destroyed.
5. There is no complementary water, everything is overpriced.
6. Boat from/to Mahe is free only for arriving and departure. If you wish to go to Mahe during your stay you should pay 15Eur per person.
7. No soundproofing in the rooms.

I believe this is the same group of three person that has been writing about the guest house. it is unfortunate that they wrote such review. Clients nationality were Russians, upon arrival they wanted to check out .The Management informed them that they can check out the next day but there will not be refund as this is peak season thus we could not sell the room. Since then they were very rude to the staff till they left regarding food being cooked in the micro wave please see respond from the Manageress below : We gave them fish kebab.they asked how to make.i told them we make in oven.not a microwave. At this time of the year yes there is sea weed this is nature and that we cannot do anything about it .They should have read the prints on Booking.com before booking the Villa de Cerf Guest house. Kind regards. The Management

The Guest house on Cerf Island is located almost 15 minutes away from Eden. Upon arrival at Villa De Cerf we were welcomed by the staffs and they showed us to our room. The room is very clean. The food is served a la Carte, the fish soup is a must try. All the staff and the owner are very nice and welcoming.

The place is beautiful. The staff are friendly and accommodating. However the bad seriously out weighs the good in this villa.
It says €6 a day for wifi. It's actually rs100 for an hour (about £5). A day, or rather 24 hours, is in fact rs500 (£25) and expires in 3 days. They didn't have 1 hour internet cards when we went so we had to pay for 24 hours.
As we entered the room (lovely, spacious and clean) there was a brochure that said satellite TV was available. There is none and I believe there never has been. I asked the owner and she said "it's so expensive". However paying €200 a night I would expect it.
We arrived at 4 on the first day and were hungry at about 5, dinner starts at 7.30pm. I asked for a snack but they didn't have anything. They kindly offered to get someone to bring back some crisps later on that day. The dinners were all very tasty but the portion sizes quite small. We were on half board basis so decided to have lunch there the next day. Breakfast at 9am. Lunch at 1pm and dinner at 7.30pm and nothing in between. One club sandwich served with chips was rs300, in other words £15. It was so expensive we decided to share, on pure principle. The next day for lunch we went to Habitation further along the beach, where a club sandwich was rs160. Cocktails were rs300 at villa de Cerf, rs160 at Habitation.
The games room they advertise was no where to be found. There was a dusty pool table and about 4 board games near the bar/kitchen area.
The final straw was the bill. We'd been ordering glasses of Sauvignon and decided to have a bottle on the third day. When we ordered it they said "the same one you've been having?" And brought out a bottle, which when examining the bill was an extra rs185. They then miscalculated our bill and phoned us up asking for the outstanding amount. All this was fine, however I took the opportunity to say that there were things we were extremely unhappy about, to which I was asked "why didn't you tell me this before?". What I normally do with dissatisfied customers is try to appease them, not provoke them. A simple "I'm sorry you weren't satisfied" would have sufficed.
Go and have a nice relaxing time but bring snacks and alcohol if you want any, load up your iPads and tablets with movies and bring lots of books. Double check your bill at the end and should you say anything that displeases the staff expect a cold response.

The small island is part of the St. Anne Marine National park and perfect for cayaking and snorkling. We've been here for the third time and we like the privacy and tranquility of this island and the Villa. Ana and her team are perfect hosts and the food is wonderful. We will come back, for sure !

We spent 4 adorable days in Villa de Cerf. The place is just magic. The room is almost so big as our whole flat at home :) Beaches for swimming and snorcheling just in front of the door. Large and very clean pool always possible to use. Service PREFECT! Food was the BEST we have had during our Seychelles visit. This place is highly recommended if you search for relaxing place! We hope to come again soon.

We again had the pleasure to return back for 4 days at the Villa de Cerf and again we have to thanks the staff and owner for this lovely time we had there! The kids just loved it too and no doubt that we will still come back. Actually we felt surprised that the Italian guests before was making a big fuss about the food, prices and the colour of the sea as we were also there just after his departure and although the rainy season, the place looks still one of the best in the Seychelles with its untouchable isolated beaches.
I had the pleasure to again meet up with the owners and the services is always top quality. The smile, the efficiency of services, the cleanlinesses, you named it and especially coming from London, United Kingdom and the very cold, stormy, rainy weather, makes such a difference and the top quality food just add to it. Cerf Island Villas is quality and one should always expect to pay for quality services otherwise, I guessed you should not go there!
Thanks again Mr & Mrs Mazzorchi for this amazing time!
Best regards,
Mr & Mrs. Gantier
