Dar achain is a good place to start trekking in the Toubkal massif. The rooms are confortamble and clean and the breakfast is hearty. Rachid is very kind, is a mountain guide and could help you if you want to do an excursion

I have been to lmlil on many occasions to climb Mt Toubkal. I have also taken all my children one by one as they became old enough to climb the mountain. Rachid is a fantastic host nothing is too much for him to do. He sorted out our transfer and made a very tastey terrien on our arrival. The gueshouse... More

A great place to stay if you are visiting the High Atlas for trekking, sight-seeing or just relaxation, peace and quiet. Comfortable rooms, good food and located right in the heart of the mountains so you can just pick up your gear and go in morning. As a bonus, host, Rachid Aztat, is a qualified mountain leader and can organise... More

Realy normal place near Imlil, just in few steps from main trekking road to Toubkal, very good prices, solid breakfast. Hotel hholder - Rashid speak english wery well, can help with a guideness to mount if needed. Romms now are very simple, but cleans, a little bit cold in winter during nights.

Even though the guesthouse isn't finished we had a great time. Small rooms but nice beds. Toilet and (hot :) shower are shared and clean. The view is amazing, great area to go hiking and the people are so nice! They do their absolute best to make sure you have everything you need and more, from extra blankets to a... More

If you are planning a trek in the Atlas Mountains, it is hard to beat the location of this guest house. It is in a small Berber village at the base of the mountains. The rooftop terrace offers spectacular views of a waterfall, the mountains, and several hillside Berber villages. The rooms are basic, but all you need. Best of... More

Excellent starting point for a climb to the Toubkal. If requested a dinner is provided which is aswell tasteful as abundant. Rooms with private showers and toilets are being build, but we still had to use the 'shared' rooms, which was no problem since we were the only guests at the time. The staff can also bring you in contact... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Dar Achain, Located in a tiny village of the same name on the western slope of the Imlil valley, Dar Achain is a family-run guesthouse of Aztat family. It is also a place where most of the PathFinders trekking routes start or finish. The three-floor house offers accommodation on the two top floors, while the ground floor is occupied by the owners. The two terraces with their wonderful view over the valley are amazing places to chill out over a homemade tajine and a pot of mint tea after a demanding day. It serves as an ideal starting spot for exploring all corners of the valley with its irrigation channels, waterfalls, shrine, rivers, viewpoints, and apple orchards. The cooking workshops are held here. ... more   less
