Having wandered around a very chilly Imlil looking for somewhere warm to eat we followed a recommendation and found the entrance to this Riad down an unlit alley way. Once inside it reminded me of Mr Tumnus’s parlour (without the peril). 2 blazing fires and a lovely, cosy, traditional interior. We had the set menu which was one of the nicest we had in Morocco. If you are in Imlil I would highly recommend. NOT to be confused with the large brightly lit restaurant of similar name.
Riad Atlas Toubkal is as good as Lonely Planet says. Friendly, comfortable, clean and with hot water. We stayed here after trekking in the Atlas and I would highly recommend this rather than going straight back to Marrakesh. The rooftop terrace really does look like the photos, the bedrooms are great and the communal areas are snug and comfy. The breakfast is gorgeous - cereal, pancakes, coffee, honey, jam - could not be faulted. Thanks Omar and the team. Can't wait to return.
Take the room with balcony view. beautiful room with view on the mountain and the best shower. Ibrahim is very nice and helpfull and speaks very good English great food as well One of the best places in Morocco We are really enjoying .. Highly recommended
This place has amazing views they prepared a fest our evening dinner. Great food breakfast was best in Morocco. Great room with a view. Amazing roof top terrace for star gazing . Staff are super friendly and helpful. Found no issues during my stay. Hight recommended 😊
I stayed at the riad for two days, but I can live there. Beautiful, peaceful, and very clean place. The staff is very kind and caring. Loved its tajin. Trekking with the guide was very enjoying. I definitely want to visit this place again.
A great place to stay if you want to walk in the Atlas Mountains. Located in Imlil. Staff are very welcoming and helpful. Rooms are small but clean and have a small ensuite and balcony. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided in the bedrooms and there is free wifi. The room rate included a breakfast of eggs, bread, pancakes, cereal and tea/coffee/juice. The room rate is very cheap and so this is excellent value for money.
Amazing place in the centre of Imlil. A beautiful Riad with stunning views of the surrounding mountains. We had a stadard balcony room, whilst a little small (no storage for clothes etc) it was great with huge windows and a nice little balcony looking out to incredible views. The roof terrace was really nice, although we were here in November so a little chilly out of the sun. In the summer i can imagine it being awesome. Breakfast was great, very substantial typical Moroccan breakfast; (lots of) bread, jam, pancakes, eggs, coffee, tea juice etc. Staff were very friendly and helpful, helped us with a few local day walks whilst we were there and provided us with water too. The whole place is beautifully laid out and decorated, especially the moroccan style lanterns that are lit each evening. Cant recommend this place enough, amazing value for money! Only gripes are the room was a little small (put reasonable for what we paid!) and a little design flaw where the heating/AC unit was above the window so couldnt really be used with the curtains closed. Very minor complaints…
The best accommodation I had in Morocco. Great view, super clean, very friendly staff and a delicious dinner and breakfast. All this for a low price! I can recommend this Riad to 100%! We got water for free and we had also tea and coffee in our room. The roof top terasse is perfect to hang out and relaxing. Just to mention: wifi worked not everywhere.
Really enjoyed the stay here. I had a room with a great view, it was quiet, free laundry and super helpful staff, good breakfasts, relaxing rooftop. Such a relaxing place after the hustle and bustle of Marrakech. Wish I had stayed longer.
This is by far the best riad (or airbnb) we have ever visited! My girlfriend and I spend some time trekking through Maroc (the big cities etc.) we ended our trip with a trip to Imlil (and climbing the Toubkal). When we arrived we already fell in love with the village Imlil and this riad was the perfect place to stay during our trip. We thought we booked a basic place to stay, however it was one of the most luxurious riads we had. The room was very large (including the bed!!), there were facilities to make your own coffee or tea, a nice balcony with a good view and last but not least a perfect bathroom, with a rainshower and a bath made out of soapstone. The breakfast was delicious and there is a possibility to have dinner, which is lovely but not included in the price, however the drinks are always for free. Other than that the hospitality was really great. The staff was really kind. Although they don't speak english very well, it is easy to communicate with them, because they really try to understand you. They are really helpful people and they will do everything to make you feel comfortable during your stay. When we asked for a restaurant nearby, they offered us to bring the food from the restaurant to the riad (they didn't charge anything for the service!) Also, they have a free hammam, to do this you'll have to ask the staff. Furthermore, they are really friendly and are always in for a joke ;). They learned us to play 'carta' correctly, this is a moroccan card game. This was one of the funniest things we experienced. We want to thank Ismail, Elhoussan (2x), Hamid and Abdoul for giving us the best time! We wish them all the best and we will certainly miss them. To make a long story short, this is one of the best places and if you have the chance you definitely have to visit this riad. (O, and they also have a swimming pool!)…
