Tropical Attitude is an adult-only 3-star sup boutique-hotel on the east coast. The hotel, situated right on the lagoon in Trou d’Eau Douce, a genuine fishermen’s village, offers direct and free shuttle access to paradisiacal Ile aux Cerfs. Stepping in, the open spaces and bar-lounge area, the Creole architecture, immediately convey the atmosphere of a relaxed and peaceful holiday home by the beach. The decoration throughout the hotel, including that of the 58 seafront rooms with their elegant bathrooms, is uncluttered and refined, in total harmony with the surrounding nature. The look is trendy: white and mineral colours with shades of dawn, reminders of the beautiful sunrises of the east coast. Now, 11 new villas with their private pool and garden Time here, seems to have come to a standstill, only interrupted by outings in the lagoon, siestas under coconut trees and local Otentik Experiences. The personalized service and kindness of its Family Members contribute widely to that gentle and relaxed way of life so typical of the tropics.

1. Outstanding Customer Service: "From the moment we arrived until departure, the staff exceeded expectations." "Exceptional customer service, with a commitment to making our stay comfortable." 2. High-Quality Food Options: "The hotel restaurant offered delicious meals with a diverse menu." Excitement and anticipation is something that is rare these days but that's what I feel when I'm about to be treated to a meal cooked by Mr. Vikas. Having first experienced his cuisine at the restaurant feels i am not away from home(India) & specially he did take care of the required meal during our stay. Thank you so much Chef VIKAS.. 3. Impeccable Cleanliness and Maintenance: "Rooms were spotless, and the facilities were well-maintained." "The hotel's cleanliness surpassed my expectations." Thank you Miss Nazima for wonderful towel decorations in the room everyday which felt so amazing.
Thank you all at Tropical Attitude

So tucked in the corner of east Mauritius is the Tropical Attitude Hotel ( Adults Only ) So if you want to chillout, be treated as the only guest and have a small community of attentive staff then GO HERE. From you check in with the amazing Karen or Cristel. You are welcomed to the hotel as the one and only guest. We arrived late due to a delayed flight and lunch was just closing down, they insisted that checkin could wait and took us to the resturant for a bite to eat and a cold drink. Afterwards we checked in and we were taken to our villa ( told to leave bags and they promptly arrived ) I would recommend a Villa if you can get one, with plunge pool, air-conditioning, a massive shower etc. Each day you can visit the Laboutik and collect 2 bottles of water and some other drinks or snacks if you are all inclusive or one for all package. Breakfast is buffet style dinner is buffet style with changes each night from mauritian choices to pasta and occasionally chips. Lunch is a la carte style with Burgers, Toasted sandwiches and pizzas to name a few. The bar is cover most local drinks ( in good quantity servings ) and again covered on a All Inclusive package ( branded is extra but who cares after a couple of mojitos ) The Poz Spa is available for all beauty treatments and is added to you bill. ( this is a card and cash free site all added to you final bill for any extras )One thing is the environmental attitude( parden the pun) and all of the Attitude Hotels follow the same mantra , no plastic bottles here ( they can give you a water bottle on arrival for you stay with 2 water fountains one 1 in the bar area and 1 in the gym area if you want ) no plastic bags, and a strong respect to the environment is followed. Overall this was an amazing hotel with a great vibe and some amazing staff, shout outs to Karen, Cristel, Kamini, Zaheen and the other reception customer care staff , the whole Waiting and Bar Staff, even the gardener. Too many names to remember but all acknowledged us with a smile and a good Morning and Afternoon everyday Rain or Shine
Highly Recommend and it is long trip for us from the UK but one day we may return and will seriously consider the Attitude family again for our stay.

Hello Nick, Thank you for your wonderful review! We’re thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your stay among us. At Tropical Attitude, life is slower here and days can be spent lazing by the lagoon, enjoying siestas under coconut trees and trying out local Otentik experiences, such as having dinner with a local family. We’re glad you loved the villa with its private pool. It's fantastic that you appreciated our environmental initiatives. At Attitude, we are committed to tourism with a positive impact. This place is worth staying, stay is very comfortable made by very warm people around you who make sure you have a good stay.
Restaurant is quiet full and accomodate to everybody's taste and requirements special thanks to chef vikash who made sure that our date night had some elements from India whose food we were missing. He made sure we are happy and had a great time.
Room service lasy deepa is very friendly and she not only make sure the room is clean and tidy but always make it stand a notch by crafting her way of making a towel either look like a swan or elephant.
Location, view had the very best of us .

What a lovely hotel,we came for our honeymoon and it did t disappoint,I was a bit dubious about it only being a 3* but after reading all the 5* reviews the official rating doesn’t do it justice,it is a truly lovely hotel, the staff, the views, the rooms, and the villas are all 5*.1st our seafront room, it was a dream waking up to the sound of the sea every morning, looking out over the sea with the gorgeous views 👌bliss. The rooms are cosy and although the shower is in the room you have a curtain for privacy. The beds are big and very comfortable, and they are actually 1 bed rather than 2 pushed together. We upgraded to a villa for the last 4 days, and although they are not beachfront that was money well spent, wow 🤩 they are lovely, the villas are big and they have a large double shower with a door that opens onto a small area with small palms, best shower we’ve ever had!!! You have a big covered outside seating area which is always in the shade and never gets wet when it rains. Your fridge and kettle etc is out there too. The private pool is plenty big enough to cool off in or you can lay in the hammock under the plant covered pagoda, they are 5* luxury 🙌. 2nd the hotel itself,it’s small and intimate as described but that’s why we chose it.the pool is the perfect size and in the middle and everything else is around it,the bar on one side and the restaurant on the other, there’s a small shop to get your supplies and a tea bar, lots of outside seating for both the day and the evening. 3rd the staff, they are all so friendly and accommodating, they want to make your stay as perfect as they can, a few stood out for us Karen the lady who sorts anything and everything, she is an absolute gem 💎,Rishmar our egg lady as we called her 🤗made our eggs to perfection every morning, always smiled and chatted,we love you ❤️ and the famous chef Vikesh, who catered for my fussy husband for the whole 2 weeks,he treated him like a king,😂 not that he doesn’t any other guest,he would always ask every guest if they enjoyed their meals,he would come out of the kitchen to check everyone was happy, who wouldn’t be!! Such lovely people.so if you want to visit a hotel that makes you feel like family and they all do, and have a lovely location this is the place.like a said the 3* rating doesn’t do it justice it was 5* for us 😍❤️😍

Stayed from July 10 to 15, 2024, very good Inn offering a welcome and calm. Good value for money. Staffed with little care, the room staff pays little attention every day in the rooms. Little thought for Brema. The Inn's restaurant offers a generous buffet. Thanks to Chef Viskan and all his team for the varied menus. Thank you to Sunil for his warm welcome.
The mascot of the Inn Fifi 🐕 is part of the decor and is nice. Thanks to the kindness of Karen and her advice for the best outings on the island. Pension near Ile au stag offers a transfer service included with half board. We highly recommend this Pension which also has an eco-friendly approach by not offering a plastic bottle. He proposes bottles so that we can fill up with water.

This is a rustic 3 star hotel. Some parts in need of a touch-up and paint job, however this does not detract from the beautiful and peaceful location. The rooms are cleaned daily and some visitors get the most amazing towel art. We found that the bed was comfortable and spacious. The shower took a while to warm up but we just turned it on early and it was powerful and hot. The aircon was great. Towel change was regular. There was a safe. Plenty of cupboard space for our clothes. The fridge was cold. TV mainly in French. Plenty of loo rolls. The menu for meal times was the same over our 14 days stay, however, days out on trips give a welcome change, but the food was tasty. A trip to the sister hotel further up the beach was a lovely day out. Plenty of drink availability throughout the day, but you have to sign for the alcohol one's, which was a nuisance sometimes. Entertainment was random but very good. Trips available, as advertised on the hotel website, although this time of year, they may get cancelled due to cyclones for obvious safety reasons. There are more than enough sun loungers, by the pool, sea front and above the restaurant. I had a relaxing massage, good value and recommend. The free boat trip to the island, approx 15mins, was great, but extremely hot 🔥 🥵. Not much in the shop there, but you could get a taxi, round trip for about £30, to Flack. You could be there for 2 hours if needed, it's like a massive supermarket and shopping mall in one, well worth it. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful, karuna, Rassel, Faim, Reshma the best chef, Seevangee, Imam, and Ram who cooked our Lobster meal in the restaurant. Bandoo our cleaner. Cheery Alice who worked in the shop. And Raj the barman he was also a very pleasant and helpful guy. Didn't like been harassed by a particular chef requesting his name be mentioned in all reviews, it was rude and he came across as pushy!! Otherwise everything else was lovely and we had a fantastic time away.

Lovely hotel on the east coast of Mauritius, about an hour from the airport. This is an ‘Eco’ friendly hotel which i very much approved of. We stayed all-inclusive which is probably a must as there is nothing in the vicinity where you could go for dinner. The staff are friendly and welcoming particularly Christoph in the dining room, always smiling and friendly and Karen who knew everyone by name. Not sure i fully agree with the scanning of QR codes everywhere to access the menus, as i found them confusing due to them having prices on - we were left unsure if they were included in the AI package. I don’t see the problem in having a room directory as it wasn’t until our last day that we found the T-bar. Our room overlooked the sea which was very nice to look out on. The room was somewhat tired but it was cleaned every day and we had our towels made in to animals each day. There was a fridge in the room, but no bottle opener to open the drinks from the tuck shop. There were also lots of sockets for charging appliances. The pillows and bed were comfy. Nice inclusion of boat trips to the coral reef and nearby island for a change of scenery. Breakfast was buffet style and very enjoyable and lunch was cooked to order from the menu good burgers and pizza. Dinner was buffet style and slightly repetitive but we were happy over all. We did have a problem with the al a carte restaurant but this was taken seriously by both the head chef and executive chef. The hotel has 2 gorgeous dogs, although only one has been adopted by the hotel. I did see the rusty coloured one is cared for by a charity and i felt this could have been promoted by the hotel to make visitors aware of the good work being done. I also thought a collection box for the charity could be put out as both dogs were calm and friendly and i particularly enjoy a hotel dog (or cat) as i have to leave my own at home. Not sure i would return to this particular hotel as i do like to have a wander round and there for the other side may have been better. We did a northern tour with Get Your Gide and also got the bus from the end of the road to Flaque.

We had chosen a luxury room with a sea view but we ultimately requested a seafront couple's room. Indeed, "our terrace" could accommodate just a small 2-seater bench and overlooked the path which served all the rooms. We were forced to close the curtains so as not to be seen by other vacationers. Even if we lost a small living room, our waterfront couple's room benefited from a larger terrace on the 1st floor with a more beautiful view of the lagoon and more privacy. So we paid the price of a luxury room but preferred to stay in a classic. Furthermore, we deplored an accumulation of things that we would describe as annoying: no wifi in the room during the first 6 days, deposit and collection of bath towels only between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. and 5 p.m., camping-style water bottles that we have to fill it ourselves at the fountain otherwise you are charged for water at the table (at breakfast, we had to bring our water bottle!), a pétanque court which most often serves as a storage area, cups if you want to drink by the pool (sorry a beer in a cup doesn't have the same flavor! I'm not at a festival!), a pontoon in very poor condition, not very reassuring and not yet restored, stray dogs in the hotel coming to quench your thirst in the swimming pool… Finally, still on the annoying side, we only very moderately appreciated the catering. It was good but not very diversified (in the second restaurant where you had to reserve, the menu was identical for 15 days). Over 2 weeks it's a bit boring even if we were only half board. So, we didn’t go there the last 5 evenings! So here are the points for us to improve. What we appreciated about the hotel was, first of all, the kindness of the staff. We also thank Bénédicte who did her best to improve our stay as much as possible (change of room, free water in the restaurant and the pleasant surprise of finding a bottle of their champagne in our new room) , the possibility of going to Ile aux Cerfs for free every day if you wish, a massage service, certainly paid but really great, perfect room cleaning (thank you Patricia) and finally the provision of a “departure lounge” very practical if you leave the hotel in the evening. So in summary, it would not take a huge investment for the service to be in line with the price of the stay, in our opinion.

We visited Mauritius for the first time in October 2024 for a special birthday and stayed in the wonderful Tropical Attitude hotel.
Our room overlooked the beautiful blue sea, had a lovely comfy bed, walk in shower, had plenty of space for clothes and was air conditioned. We stayed all inclusive which meant we could top up the mini bar in our room every day with beer and soft drinks. Deepa the housekeeper kept our room looking immaculate every day and always left us an amazing decorative creation made from towels and petals on the bed which was a nice touch. There were plenty of sunbeds and cabanas round the pool for everyone and towels available.
The all inclusive restaurant is spacious and also has a sea view. Breakfasts for us was either bread and jam or eggs (fried, scrambled, poached, boiled or omelette) all cooked to perfection by our friend the lovely, smiley chef Sanjana. 😊 Lunch was either a la carte in the Restaurant or Al fresco at the Taba J street food shack which offers a range of traditional Mauritian foods. Dinner had a variety of staple foods like pizza, pasta and veg but also Mauritian dishes which were very tasty. The hotel also has a separate restaurant kot nou which is a bit more intimate and can be booked through Karen the concierge, who is amazing and can sort anything hotel related for you (boat trips, packed lunches to take on trips, snorkeling, visits to neighbouring hotels etc)
Special mention as well to the always smiley and friendly Zaheen who runs the little snack/gift shop.
There was entertainment (local bands, singers and dancers) round the bar area every night up to around 10pm. The guys behind the bar serve amazing cocktails and the local phoenix beer which was very good.
10 minutes walk down the white, sandy beach is their sister hotel Friday Attitude and we could use all their facilities, beach, sunbeds and drinks at no cost for all inclusive guests. Karen will arrange this for you.
All in all we had an amazing 2 weeks at Tropical Attitude. The hotel was clean and really well maintained, the staff are all super friendly and hardworking.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to my friends and family.
Thanks very much

My wife and two of our friends have just returned from a 15 night stay all inclusive at the Tropical Attitude, we were blown away by the combination of the stunning location, the Hotel itself, the amazing food and drinks on offer but above all it was the people, the staff are just the best. We ate in all the Restaurants and the Chefs Vikash and Dimitri are so good. The waiting staff cannot do enough for you and everything is done with a smile. We can recommend everything highly by specifically the Kot Nou curry and the Lobster and Prawns in the main restaurant. Our room was cleaned Daily to a very high standard and every day a little present was left which is a lovely touch, we spent a lot of our time in and around the bar area especially of an evening to take in the entertainment, the bar staff! Where do I start? I would employ every single one of them without a second thought. They were attentive, chatty, funny, polite. And just so good, a credit to the hotel chain and whoever employed them did a great job, Sanjoo, Yuvan, Bhavesh, you made our holiday even better than we could have expected, Thank you. If you do go there and we hope you do as you will not regret it look out for the musicians on Wednesdays, EvaD, talented and great blokes. How this hotel is only 3 star is mad, we have stayed at 4 and 5 star that may be more luxurious but the staff have got nowhere near the staff at the Tropical Attitude. If you want a peaceful, laid back, relaxed and pampered experience this is that place.we met other guest ranging in age from newlyweds in their 20s from Norway, so nice, to a couple from Newcastle in their 50s, the atmosphere was always relaxed and friendly and it was our pleasure to spend our holiday with you all. Thank you.

Hi in answer to your question we were at Tropical Attitude Mid October and did not encounter any mosquitoes. I would suggest taking with you any anti mosquito prevention just to be safe.
I’m sure you will have a great time.
Hello Richard, thank you for having chosen Tropical Attitude for your holiday.
For the time being, it is sunny and very hot (temperature ranging in between 29 to 32 degrees approximately).
Thank you and see you soon.
Warm regards,
You can go on the free to use boats out to Ile aux Cerfs. There is a bar and restaurant on the island and of course toilets, stunning beaches and walks. That is pretty much the only local one part from small towns, we went to see the waterfalls and mountains etc, ask your hotel to book you a local taxi rather than use holiday company excursions. They are half the price and much better, the taxis are allocated to hotels so it’s all in house, a trip to the other side of the island for dinner and to watch the sunset is well worth it.
There are more places to choose from in the Trou d'eau Douce area.
