We had an amazing stay at Sakoa in November 2023. Not only the location is great (coral reef snorkelling just off from the lagoon beach!) but the hotel is also well decorated and blends nicely with the setting. However the true star of the Sakoa is its staff, everyone of them welcomed us like family and made our 1st family trip with our 18 months old daughter a delightful breakawy. Thanks from the bottom of our heart.

The best thing about this resort is its location. It is on a stunning beach which allows for great swimming with not too much coral. It is very close to souvenir shops, a supermarket, restaurants and ATM’s. It also has a bus stop nearby so it is very easy to get around to other places on the island. We stayed in a Sea View Room which was really lovely and perfect to watch the sunset from. The view was beautiful and was just a few steps from the beach. I highly recommend booking a sea view room. The resort itself is generally well kept and tidy. The rooms have everything one needs and is comfortable. I would have liked more choices for breakfast eg yogurt, muesli etc. There was however cold meats, fruit, cheeses, pastries and eggs etc. No butter though which was a bit strange.

Great location, convenient for chemist/supermarket/ATM. Beach is excellent. Bar restaurant prices on a par with UK.. Bar could do with some bar snacks and the selection of wines by the glass was small. Why not add small bottles of Prosecco? Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.

Everything you need from a small hotel on a stunning beach Rooms and grounds are clean and spacious, service is good. Cocktails can be a bit hit and miss, and a more varied selection of fresh fruit, cheese and meats at breakfast would be welcome. Will definitely return!

The main area is nice, although the pool is very small. You can't swim in there, it is just good for a refreshing dip. The staff gives the feeling to be annoyed whenever you have a question. We first had a room directly on the street, it was impossible to sleep, it also was dark, full of ants and had a broken toilet, the bed was worn out. Upon request we could change the room without further discussion, the second room was worlds better, with more lovingly and modern furniture. The food in the morning is actually not too bad with eggs of choice, pancakes, fruit...but it feels rather shabby because the presentation of the food is really poor, which I think should really be improved for what you pay. Only little choice of bread available. The private beach is really nice, the beach-chairs should be replaced as a lot of them are broken or worn out. The overall experience was good, although we expected more for the money paid.

Dear Michelle, Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your stay at Sakoa Boutik Hotel. We truly appreciate your valuable comments, and we're sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. We're glad you found the main area nice and enjoyed the refreshing dip in the pool. However, we apologize if it was not suitable for swimming; your feedback is duly noted. It's disheartening to hear that you felt our staff was less than accommodating, and we will address this issue to ensure that all our guests feel welcomed and assisted. We apologize for the inconveniences you faced in your initial room. We're pleased that we could swiftly accommodate your request for a room change, and it's great to hear that the second room was a significant improvement with modern and lovingly furnished interiors. Your comments regarding the breakfast presentation, bread selection, and the condition of beach chairs are noted, and we will certainly work on enhancing these aspects to provide a more enjoyable dining and beach experience. We appreciate your overall positive feedback, but we regret that the value for money did not meet your expectations. Your feedback is crucial to our continuous improvement, and we hope to have the opportunity to exceed your expectations in the future. Warm regards, Sakoa Boutik Hotel team

We recently spent 10 days at Le Sakoa and were over whelmed by the care, love and attention the wonderful staff gave us. Yashvera and Doris greeted our 4 year old every day with such enthusiasm that they were the highlight of his stay.(He is still talking about them today) When we missed them at checkout they both called to speak to our son to say goodbye. Clarel remembered us from our stay 5 years ago and greeted us like a old friend and Dev, James, Donovan and Alex were all amazing too- so friendly, personable and knowledgeable. Thanks for making our stay so memorable! The rooms are luxurious and spacious and the view from the balcony every night was spectacular- just what we needed with a 4 year old as we spent our evenings there. The location is amazing- situated on the best section of the beach. It is clean and quiet. As there are only 15 rooms the beach and hotel feel really quiet and serene. Lots of lovely places to eat nearby if you wanted to venture out, but the food at the hotel is outstanding. Even though it doesnt have a wide variety of food, they accommodated our son's food preferences as we ordered off menu for him- a lovely, personal touch. We also had a BBQ on the beach on our last night with a love band- this made our final night so special. They helped us with taxis, trips and the free glass bottom boat feeding the fish was amazing. We have stayed in hotels all around the world and Le Sakoa is at the top. Their personal service and gorgeous setting is all you need for a relaxing holiday. Thanks for making our first long Haul with our son so special. See you all very soon!!

It is a truly wonderful hotel set in a beautiful spot on a lovely stretch of beach. The staff are excellent and the food is really good. All Mauritian and lots of variety. It’s a small hotel and quiet. Yet there is plenty to do - they took us out on a glass bottom boat all included in the price.
