NUMBER OF ROOMS
Just like half glass-full of water; tough to decide whether it is half full or half empty. Pros: 1. Near to public beach. 2. Great food options for non-veg lovers. 3. Bars available. 4. 3 swimming pools. 5. Jacuzzi. 6. Helpful staff (Not all) Cons : 1. Your valuable stuff may get stolen during room cleaning. Couple residing in our adjacent room, lost some earings. 2. No variety of food for vegetarian people. 3. Balcony door lock was broken (Room no. 205) , during March-2020. 4. Can't use pools after 7:00PM daily, due to chlorination schedule. 5. Not much stuff in honeymoon freebies. Just a bottle of wine. 6. Paid pool/billiards. I mean why? We already paid to use your facility. And many more.....
If you want a hotel where there it´s nice and quit, don´t go here. In the afternoon there is poolmusic outside the rooms and in the evenings very loud "entertainment" in the poolarea. The food is tasteless and the service not so good. I had to ask 4 times to get a lamp beside my bed, that was working.
Nothing extraordinary or sensational about this hotel. The experience was disappointing and generic, even though I travelled with an open mind without any expectations. I would have got more for my money had I stayed at a different place. Especially bad if you have a baby.
This hotel is great, we have visited Mauritius before but have never stayed here but we were not disappointed. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the balconies or patios are of a good size. The hotels 3 pools are well kept, the main pool was noisy at weekends when the hotel seemed to be busier, but the 2 smaller pools were quieter. Food here is excellent, they try to cater for all tastes but like all hotels have a budget to keep to, that said there was a good choice which was both tasty and well presented. All food on all inclusive option was buffet style with some themes repeated each week but the content did vary and reflected local food as well as catering for more conservative European tastes. The all inclusive drink range was good and all drinks were served by helpful and friendly staff. The staff at this hotel were lovely, helpful, efficient and eager to please, our maid Aarti was brilliant, leaving us towel sculptures that were beautiful. Reception staff were very helpful and eager to please. The Spa was also very good, Jaya gave us a wonderful Indian head massage. The standards of decor were good and the grounds both pretty and well maintained. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel, it lived up to expectations.…
We enjoyed our 14 days stay at Le Palmiste during over new years eve. Dinnerparty on the 31st was fantastic as well as the sega show. We stayed on half board and it suites us fine. Instaid if having drinks in the bar before dinner we bought some wine from a supermarket not far away and went down to the beach. Beautiful sunset. We think the hotel offers good value for money. It is not a five star hotel nor do you pau for it. It must take a lot of effort to keep the hotel and its garden in shape since the climate is so humid. It was our firsy time to Mauritius and whay we liked the most was the mix of people, both in the hotel and at the public beach. You realy felt like you were part of a community, not a turist in a resort.
