We received a very warm welcome after our arrival from the airport and more than 12 hours flight. We arrived before 14h and thus we had to wait approx. 1 hours before our accomodation was available. Fortunatelly there is a shower and WC at the reception building. Afterwards the resort manager helped us to carry our luggage to our room. Room was clean, double bed, sofa, TV and safe for your valuables. House keeping takes place daily, beach towels are changed every two days. Electrical plugs are the UK type - G, however among all, there was also one of EU type - C. There are 3 pools within the resort, all are available from 10 to 18h. Public beach is cca 5 minutes walk far. Our package contained breakfasts and dinners. The meals were tasty and the offer corresponds to a 3* hotel. However, I would expect a fresh fruit salads, when I am on a tropical island and not a compote from a can. In the same way for breakfasts, the offered juice was concentrated with a water. These are the only remarks which I think that may be enhanced. I want to underline the kindness of all the personnel, who helped us with everything we needed. All the evening animations end by 22h and the whole resort is very quiet. General evaluation is very good from our side and we definetelly recommand stay in Le Palmiste. Olga & Jan

I am just back from Mauritius, where I spent a week in this beautiful resort. As soon as I arrived, Nushrut welcomed me and my friend and although I was very tired, she organised all the excursions perfectly, so that my week was perfectly arranged and I didn't have to take care about anything else. All the staff is amazing: there is also someone speaking Italian, who cared about us and always asking if everything was fine. The food is good: every day there is a great choice of each kind of meat, then rice, cous cous, and also pasta (I need to say - from an Italian perspective view - that the pasta was good, especialli the spaghetti with the sauce). Not to forget the sweeties (first of all the ones with coconut) ;). The place is amazing, with 4 smiwwing pools, sorrounded by palms. And each room/apartment has an amazing balcon where you can have a sit peacefully and do whatever you want. I liked it really much. I am sorry my vacation finished so fast, I will come back here one day, for sure. Thank you all of you for rendering my vacation unforgettable. Aurora

This hotel is the most disabled friendly hotel I've had the experience of staying In on a long haul flight holiday . All be it we've only been here a few days so far, the staff are so helpful and nothing is too much trouble for anyone of them they are amazing. From disable friendly rooms to ramps leading to the restaurant and throughout the hotel i can get around it all on my mobility scooter. Don't know how some reviews are so negative about the food etc. The food is absolutely beautiful freshly prepared for each service. There is definitely something for everyone. Ohhh yes nearly forgot... we English love having a pint Glass of lager yep A PINT GLASS and this is all inclusive to... I will be posting pictures soon ...to keep you updated...

Food was worst I have ever had - cold and awful choice - nearly all buffet breakfast items were run out and you constantly had to ask to get more and plates bowls and cups all had the most awful chips and cracks in them - staff were not helpful and toilets smelt of urine

Food was very poor, poor choice, and very cold buffet selection . The staff seemed very polite and helpful (if you were a male) until they charged my wife double for drinks, they charged me the correct price . Rectified, upon me confronting them. Pointless my wife doing anything as they chose to ignore her in the drinks queue anyway. They weren't happy and reception didn't seem too bothered, however reception apologised for this. Toaster was not working one day, staff were just rinsing the plates and cutlery in the area behind the food area, then putting out for use. This was the same with the glasses in the bar. Personally, I don't think this was very hygienic. Rooms were clean and tidy enough though. The red wine was great, it had to be, as the food wasn't.

Spent 2 weeks here recently and cannot think of anything negative to say about the hotel, staff, food. Never had such caring, pleasant and sociable staff, who help you if needed. Lots of staff around all day making sure your holiday is the best it can be. We'll kept grounds with lots of palm trees and greenery. Very comfortable rooms, clean towels every day, and sheets. I would certainly recommend this hotel.

The staff in the reception were very friendly and welcome us well. They talked to us during our stay to ensure a pleasant stay. We had a great family room with pool view where we could sit and enjoy evening after children went to bed. There is 3 bigger pools and one pool for children at the hotel. The bar had a lot to choose from and their staff was always happy and relaxed. Only improvement is more variety in food during dinner, if having all inclusive and to have customised food for children.

A long awaited trip to Mauritius and we booked Le Palmiste rather than the numerous 5 star hotels with sometimes impersonal service that comes with such places. We were not disappointed. Stayed for 2 weeks. Despite the weather trying to spoil things for us with very little blue sky and sun during the first 5 days and non stop rain for 2 of those days we enjoyed the hotel a lot. Staff in general were brilliant. One bar person seemed to blank you but we avoided him. Pool staff. Restaurant staff and room cleaners for us were super. Our room was ground floor walking straight out onto the pool next to the bar. Perfect location for us. Food was plentiful and varied although some of the dishes on offer seemed strange to our palate such as massive tubs of mashed potato for breakfast. But I’ve no doubt this keeps some guests happy. There was lots of activity around the hotel to maintain the property but non of it was intrusive. Massages in the Spa were reasonably priced and the therapists were top class. Unfortunately we didn’t get to see as much of the island as planned. The shocking early weather resulted in both our trips being cancelled so apart from around the hotel we didn’t get around the island The beach nearby was a little disappointing for us as it looked more like a boat park with resulting diesel fuel smells. However the beach along the coast at Mon choisy gives the tropical island look we expected of Mauritius and worth a walk /bus A mention for Didier who organises events on Fridays and Saturdays and brings colour to both evenings with his disco and Sega dancing evening. He was a character and good to have around the hotel. The issue we had with Mauritius was not the hotel or people. But the airport arrivals. After what turned out to be 23 hours of travel. The last thing you need is a scrap to fill in 2 identical forms which we or the majority of others on our plane we’re not aware of Then standing for almost 2 hours to get thru the passport booths. As the first image of Mauritius an island which depends 60 to 70% on tourism it was not favourable. Everyone we spoke to. Uk and French had the same experience. So be prepared or be lucky and be the only plane to land

Greetings from Le Palmiste Resort & Spa Choosing our venue for your holidays requires attention and we are very grateful that you have chosen Le Palmiste Resort & Spa. We would like also to thank you for taking the time to write your experience for your stay with us. Thank you for your appreciation on our resort our services, our team member skills and the spot around Concerning the comment on the beach unfortunately since it is a public one we have to control on whatever people put there but we just went there and there is no boat neither smell of fuel, may be you went to the beach a time where someone was "parking" their boat . Concerning the attitude of the Bar Man, we have no record that you reported same to us while in house however the the bar manager was informed ! And we are sorry about what you face at the airport however for security and immigration purpose , all procedures has to be respected ! My heart is full of joy reading that you have cherished the moments among us We are pleased to have a Team giving their best each day to make the difference. It was a real pleasure to have been at your service and to have shared our Hospitality with you. We await your return very soon for other moments of sterling cheerfulness and blessings.
