Hotel, staff and food are very good. But it ends there. We had a nightmare stay. 1. Constant maintenance everywhere, you get asked to move your loungers so they can work. It is that close. Tractors and trucks everywhere with no safety concerns. 2. Avoid areas around rooms 3050 and 3150 there is a rubbish dump behind the wall and they start up at 0630 with a digger loading the rubbish in trucks. 3. There is no way you can swim in the sea., The whole beach is taken up with kite surfing and other water sports. There is a sectioned off area about he size of a tennis court. This is totally ignored. You cant go in the sea, you will get killed. The advertised snorkelling is a joke. forget it dont bother taking it with you. 4. At the weekends the hotels sells the empty rooms off cheap to the local people. They get drunk, loud and very disruptive. The bar and restaurant cant cope. Crazy and unpleasant.20 minutes to get served at the bar while the locals push in. 5. Lastly the wind. It is almost gale force every day for some of the time. Sort of just switches on all of a sudden. This attracts the water sports folks, but it is miserable for everyone else. You cannot get away from it in the resort. If you like water sports hate swimming, love tractors and a piss up on a Saturday, this will be heaven for you.

This is a very large property on the southern tip of Mauritius. It is right by the beach and at the foothills of the Le Morne mountain peak. We were a family of four, three adults and one child. We had booked a family room, which was located on the first floor. It had two huge bedrooms, which were very comfortable. The Air conditioning worked well and the rooms were kept very clean and tidy by the housekeeping staff. The hotel has a central swimming pool, which is slightly kept heated, this makes the dip in the pool very comfortable. The best part of our deal was that it was an all inclusive package, with unlimited alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, plus all three meals. The restaurants had a wide variety of menu, from local fare, continental to Indian cuisine. It also had an exclusive Indian restaurant named "Bangalore", that served all the Indian dishes. Overall this is a fantastic place to spend 6 nights with your family. The Hotel staff right from the reception to the hotel were very friendly and always smiling. Great place.

My wife and myself arrived at the Riu Creole early Monday morning 9th after a long flight from Gatwick on a TUI Dreamliner 787/800 lovely flight just under 12hrs, checking in was easy but due to the early arrival we had to wait for our room to be prepared this we where aware of we went straight to breakfast came back to reception our luggage was already in our room (2101) given our key card and wristbands then shown where to go, room was on the first floor lift was available good news the room was a superior double bath separate shower large bathroom the main room was very large bed well that was 6” by 6” massive very comfy extra pillows and blanket if needed tea coffee facilities in the room mugs fridge with beer and soft drinks topped up daily large flat screen tv plenty of room for your clothes and coat hangers patio with nice views, the hotel itself is open planed very large single bar inside near the restaurant lots of seating area also inside smoking area that’s kinda outside at the same time there’s a snack bar that has sandwiches and a variety of fillings also a large fridge with ready to nuke hotdogs and burgers ketchup available and microwave, the main buffet restaurant is large and well set out for single couple and large parties the buffet area has a large selection of food for all cultures and vegetarian food even us fussy English the food is topped regular there are fresh cooked food stations with different varieties of meat all self serving plenty of deserts, breads, soups, salads, wine red or white at your table fresh water or soft drinks also there are a mix of children’s food pizza, chips nuggets, pasta, lots of fresh vegetables, Wendy and myself enjoyed the whole experience something different every day it’s an amazing place breakfast Wes great wide choices of everything you could wish for, you need to see to experience it you get greeted lunch time and evening by untold amount of staff from the manager, chef, table staff all very polite professional and friendly service evening light entertainment in the lounge area daily except Sundays, entertainment every night in the theatre, day time events around the pool and nearby this hotel has a lot going on for everyone kitesurfing, wind surfing, paddle boarding, kayaking, swimming, snorkelling, scuba diving, soft white sand bring water shoes as some coral in the water sand is very soft plenty of sun beds there’s a bar on the beach as well a few locals selling gifts, only a few shops on the hotel grounds can be a little pricey currency is mainly (rupees) you must book some trips and see the island it has a big cultural experience and if you can it’s worth a catamaran trip from the black river and see the Dolphins wow amazing, the staff at the hotel are amazing a special thanks to Rushi F&B Manager most helpful everyday always has a friendly welcome and a smile bar staff Ben and all the others work very hard I think the hotel should move the coffee facilities at the bar to a separate area as it gets very busy for all kinds of coffee and takes up valuable time trying to serve drinks as well, Anyway in a nut shell this hotel has a lot to offer money well spent a great paradise experience thank you all Doug & Wendy Williams room 2101 Thank you All.
