We have recently returned from an absolutely blissful stay at Lux Grande Gaube. The design of the hotel is absolutely stunning, very chic but at the same time incredibly welcoming and comfortable. We stayed in one of only 3 villas on the resort, 2 bed-roomed with a private garden and pool and views to die for! The villa was beautiful and very comfortable, but the best part about it were our 2 wonderful butlers who looked after us throughout our stay. Rupesh and Akshay were fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. They took care of all our restaurant reservations, organised an amazing boat trip for us, and were on hand via WhatsApp all day every day in case there was anything we needed. They even brought us canapés and drinks of our choice every evening before getting ready for dinner! Just superb. All the restaurants were very good, the food delicious in all of them. Even the main buffet restaurant, Palm Court was unlike any buffet restaurant we've ever been to before. There was such a huge selection of food, with cooking stations making dishes fresh to order such as pasta and stir fries. Bodrum Blue was our favourite for lunch, with its stunning location overlooking the bay. The food is simple but full of flavour, and it was a joy to have a long lazy lunch there, looked after superbly by Ricardo. We also enjoyed a couple of evening meals there, and were delighted when Chef Bilal took the time to come and chat with us during service. We dined at Inti, the Peruvian restaurant, twice during our stay. It's not included in the all inclusive package but is well worth a visit. We chatted with Chef Pedro who explained to us that he his food is very "clean", he doesn't use butter or cream in any of his cooking and it shows - the flavours are outstanding. You really are spoilt for choice on where to eat. Creole Smokehouse is in the most amazing setting under a huge banyan tree, BB's burger shack is great for a very tasty lunch, and Beach Rouge is in a picture perfect setting right on the beach for a delicious lunch or dinner. Every evening there was live music in Palm Court bar where we would stop after dinner for a few drinks. There is a drinks menu with a huge selection including cocktails, mocktails, beer, wine, spirits, prosecco, you name it! Nirvan always looked after us well bringing us drinks with a smile, and he remembered our names from Day 1, a lovely personal touch. One evening we booked to do rum tasting which took place in a treehouse! It was stunning and the rum was delicious! We had the chance to try lots of different flavoured rums including coffee, vanilla and passion fruit. Ravi, our host, was very knowledgeable and gave us plenty of ideas for trying to create our own concoctions at home! I thoroughly recommend doing a day's boat trip with Captain Tom. He took us out on a traditional wooden pirogue, stopping at a couple of spots for snorkelling, before reaching an absolutely stunning island where he prepared a BBQ lunch for us. Unlimited drinks of our choice were included throughout the day, and the journey back to the resort in the afternoon was done the traditional way, under sail, which was beautiful and so peaceful. There are 2 beaches, the main one where the watersports etc operate from, or a quieter, adults only beach. Although the adults only beach looked lovely and peaceful, it was quite a long way from our accommodation, so we chose to sit each day in a perfect little spot at the bottom of the steps to our villa, far enough away from all the activities so that they didn't bother us. The staff here really make this place special, there are so many more whose names I didn't get but who always greeted us with a smile, and all went out of their way to make our stay special. If you're thinking of visiting this hotel, do it! You won't regret it. …
