Veranda Paul et Virginie Hotel & Spa garners high praise for its exceptional service, with staff members who are often commended for their attentiveness and professionalism. While the hotel's atmosphere is described as tranquil and charming, some guests have reported noise disturbances from nearby pubs and road traffic.
The amenities, including the infinity pools and varied food options, generally receive positive marks, though there is room for improvement in soundproofing. The hotel's location offers stunning views and a peaceful setting, despite being somewhat remote.

A fantastic hotel based on a fantastic humble world-class service. My fiancé and I spent our honeymoon at the hotel and we were taken care of like nowhere else. All the staff in the hotel departments maintained the same high standard of service, they put all their time and help into making our stay the best. Whatever we needed, they helped us. All the staff were very positive and spread a joy and really gilded our stay including Manager Belram, Man, Arun, Sunny, (Aldo, Nicolas which entertained us with water activities) and all the chefs who cooked fantastic food every day.
We got one of the best rooms in our opinion, right opposite the sea and the palm trees right outside the door. The room was very comfortable and staff cleaned the room every day and changed both towels and sheets, each time we were met by surprise which was nice towel decoration. The location of the hotel was good, nearby there were small shops and pharmacies. When we were going on adventures, it was easy with taxi drivers and the hotel was always available and helpful in informing and recommending sights. We stayed two weeks and the hotel had evening entertainment every day and we were lucky enough to be part of a festival called Diwali which the hotel had organized with food festival and light show. We got in very good contact with many of the staff and they really made us feel at home.
It felt safe to stay at the hotel despite covid because the hotel had restrictions that you needed to test yourself when you arrived at the hotel and all luggage would be cleaned. Day five it was time to test again (the hotel stod for the test) and the last time. The hotel is constantly maintained and cleaned.
We will never forget our trip and stay, we will always have the hotel and the staff close to our hearts. The people of Mauritius are something special, they are extremely grateful and devoted people. It was our first time in Mauritius but definitely not the last.

Hi guys just got back today from Mauritius my girlfriend and I stayed at the veranda paul et virginie hotel and spa in grand gaube in Mauritius what can I say the hotel was beautiful staff very friendly warm and welcoming couldn't do enough for you. The hotel has 2 main restaurants and the 1 main bar which was fine as it has 81 rooms is adults only so very quiet it has a gym if u are feeling energetic a spa to pamper yourself 1 large pool and a good size infiniti pool with spectacular ocean views. The food was either buffet style or table service on certain days all of the food was amazing with buffet food for breakfast and if you go all inclusive which we did we get a bar menu and separate pancakes served near the infiniti pool every day entertainment in the evening was good with local dancers or singers performing. There are alot of trips to do on a catamaran boot trip with bbq on a beach on a near by island plus snorkeling cooking courses dolphin trip plus many more. The rooms are really nice all with tea and coffee making facilities air-conditioning with is great as it gets very hot during the day and warm in the evening we had a room with a balcony overlooking the main pool with sea views all the rooms have sea views. There is a souvenirs shop to buy your gifts. The main point I want to get across is that the staff are amazing food amazing views unbelievable excellent value for money for a 4 star hotel we both would go back again but for longer only had a week would like to have done trips nearly forgot to say free water sports included like kayaks windsurfing paddle boarding which I did never done it before very enjoyable and I didn't fall in which was good it has a beach right by the hotel with sundowners and parasols definitely needed with sun was between 30 and 32 degrees every day we were there was so relaxing quiet and unbelievable good just wanted to say thank u to all the staff especially staff members man aka Mr 2 phoenix lol kajar maestro and all of the amazing chefs.

This hotel is fantastic & the staff were great, nothing was too much trouble. The setting was stunning. The room had a great view over the gardens, pools & sea. It was spotlessly clean & the food was good. Above all it was quiet & relaxing with only the sound of the wind in the palm trees & the birdsong.
The beach was small but good. Due to the reef the sea was very shallow a considerable distance out from the beach. There was seaweed quite close to the beach which was not removed due to the care of the environment (would recommend wearing shoes to walk out into the sea). The two pools were good. The gardens very well tended, no chemicals used to control insects used only natural substances. The lights by the paths in the evening shone down to prevent light pollution. Eco friendly throughout.
Food was good, mixture of self serve buffet & table service. The staff were very attentive. Would recommend the a la carte restaurant, for a very reasonable price (extra to AI) the food was excellent (especially the Madagascan prawns).
The General Manager was visible & approachable 6 days out of 7. Always with his staff & talking to guests.
Guests need to wear masks in communal areas by law. All staff wear them all the time.
Went all inclusive & have no complaints at all. Good selection of food & drinks (local beers, spirits & cocktails).
Nice shop on site selling reasonably priced gifts & necessities.
Rooms cleaned daily to high standard.
Entertainment on each night catering to most tastes. Maybe the bar could stay open a little longer in the evening, finished about 11.30.
Would recommend this hotel.

We were in Mauritus to celebrate our 30th anniversary. We were in contact with the hotel prior to arriving and received answers to every enquiry immediately. On our very early arrival we were given a temporary room to freshen up as ours wasn't ready. We were given a tour of the resort which helps familiarise yourself early on. Our room was soon ready and we had beautiful views over the Indian Ocean and the pool area. Room was perfectly comfortable and perfect for the amount of time spent in there
First couple of days were spent relaxing by the pool, eating, drinking and chilling. All the time the staff were attentive, friendly and good fun. Special mention to Melanie for her attention to making our holiday as perfect as possible but we could truly name check everyone for their hospitality
We met some great people who made the holiday fun and turned the evenings into mini parties!
When on an all inclusive package, we try not to overdo it but the food was good and the drinks better than most AI hotels we've been to. The waiters don't hold back topping up drinks during lunch and dinner!
We hired a car for a couple of days which I'd highly recommend to see the island and learn a bit about the people and the culture. The beaches along the east coast are well worth a visit. If you don't want to drive, there are organised trips or even hire a taxi for the day.
To sum up, the staff at the Paul et Virginie were helpful, friendly, fun and a joy to engage with. Food and drink plentiful and good quality. The hotel is quiet but with just enough going on to never be bored. The pools and beach are fine and we never struggled to get a sun bed. We would highly recommend a stay here

Having read other reviews of the hotel we were concerned about having to enter sunbed wars. We need not have worried. There were ample sunbeds around the three main areas; infinity pool, beach and shallower pool and we could have a leasurely breakfast before heading with our towels to sunbeds.
The staff were wonderful and always friendly. Nothing we asked was too much trouble. The food was of excellent quality and we were never left feeling that the choice was limited. We highly recommend having lunch at the beach restaurant. The views of the bay is super and incredibly tropical. That said, the views from the infinity pool and bar were also very nice and we never tired of looking out to sea.
Although the hotel is located in close proximity to a road we were not troubled by noise. The hotel is also very close to the sea and our room had a super sea view.
Our lasting impression is that the hotel provides a fusion of Caribbean food quality and relaxation with Asian levels of service.
The biggest credit we can give is that we had one of our best ever holidays and consequently fully intend staying at the hotel again.

We have recently returned home after the most relaxing honeymoon.
The hotel is a lovely small hotel and is perfect for couples who want to get away and relax in beautiful surroundings.
The rooms as is the rest of the hotel are spotlessly clean. They arw a nice size with large comfy beds and showers water pressure is really good.
I personally had an problem with the food as i am a very fussy eater ( i mainly eat kids type buffet food ) this wasnt an issue, raj and phatima both made sure i was well catered for and asked the chef to make me chicken/pasta with a side of fries (my favourite) most evenings which was no issue and always came out slightly different and very tasty. My partner ate the food and tells me it was very nice, it always looked very well presented.
The beach wasnt particular big, but even though its a public beach it's only used by the hotel guests as the hotel is not really that close to much. A selection of water sports are available. We took out a pedalo and also a kayak. They alao have a glass bottom boat which we didnt get a chamce to go out on as was oit of use for most of the week. The sea is shallow far out and very calm. We spent most of our time next to the pools. The infinity pool has the most perfect view with a lovely breeze. Plenty of sunbeds and umberellas if you need.
You couldnt fault the staff, very friendly yet professional at the same time.
This is the perfect place to unwind and relax.

We stayed at this resort for 26 nights for our honeymoon. The service was outstanding and staff took the time to get to know everyone and would ask you frequently if there was anything you needed and we're always super helpful.
I am pregnant and so struggled with food due to a number of issues however the chef worked with me on a daily basis to ensure I ate and on a number of occasions cooked a meal which was not on the menu. The chef was amazing and took real pride in his work. An absolute credit to the resort.
Maestro the mixologist again was so friendly and would often make up special mocktails which were all very tasty. My husband had a number of cocktails which the throughly enjoyed.
Man would always greet you with a smile and would always help as much as he could. As was Raheev.
All staff could not do enough for you and the service was impeccable.
The resort itself is small but perfect for a intimate honeymoon. They have 2 restaurants, the beach front is open for lunch everyday as part of the all inclusive except Sundays but is an added cost for dinner.
The main restaurant is a buffet 4 times a week and an a la carte 3x a week they will have the menu on the desk by the main entrance in the morning and also when you sit down to eat they will give you a menu.
The bar also offers lunch as well as the beach restaurant.
They have water sports as part of the all inclusive like glass bottom boat, pedalos, snorkeling, kayaks. They also have a catamaran trip but this does cost extra.
They have two pools one of which is an infinity pool they are not heated but will cool you down in the hot weather.
The bar doesn't open until 11am which we suggested be changed as if you are beside the pool you can become quite hot so suggested soft drinks all morning.
The cleaners put towel art on our beds every morning which was a lovely touch.
They have a spa at the resort which we very much enjoyed and would recommend.
Overall we throughly enjoyed our honeymoon and would definitely recommend it to our friends and family.

Pictures do not do this resort justice. It is just too beautiful for words! Thank you to the incredible staff for the most friendly, kind and helpful ever - they really love their jobs and make you feel like royalty. Our room was spacious and comfortable with every we needed a beautiful view of the resort pools and stunning lagoon that the resort overlooks. The hotel is so clean and well kept which is lovely. I also highly recommend doing the catamaran boat cruise that is offered directly from the hotel - it is so convenient, well priced and we had the best day out on the lagoon without having to travel for 4 ours to another location and back again. I must mention that some of the loungers on the beach do need their mesh replaced but everything else is very smart and well kept. Every one of our requests and arrangements were easily organised and done so well. We did have one or two minor issues but the managers were on it and everything was sorted out asap! We are so grateful for an unforgettable honeymoon in the most amazingly beautiful place. I highly recommend this resort and we hope to be back one day soon :)

The hotel building and rooms were very nice. I loved the hotel. Everything decorate modern with nature touch. Nice smell everywhere, especially in Spa. I definitely recommend the to find time for massage. Ladies in Spa are so lovely and friendly.
I wish to highlight manager Man, his service was absolutely amazing, nothing too much trouble for him. Was our pleasure to meet him, such a lovely person!
Another thing was the food, so delicious, really high standard and we enjoyed every single meal..I wish to have more fresh vegetable for breakfast, but we were still very satisfied. One thing wasn't very handy and it was that we had to sign receipts after every single food and drink. We booked all inclusive, so would be easier to have just bracelets. We were waiting for drink very long time, sometimes 30 minutes..and two guys behind the bar were not very polite. Guys on the floor were always nice and polite. Was quite difficult to catch guy in boat shop on the beach, we wanted to change our towels and there was no one at 4 pm and beach was full of people because of nice weather. The hotel is dog friendly and you can donate dog charity, to help to reduce amount of street dogs without vet care. We spent New Year there and in was absolutely phenomenal, the fireworks over the sea and traditional show and dances. All hotel staff did impossible to make our evening unforgettable.
We were missing some chill music by the pool. DJ Clive played very nice Deephouse music in the Bar area, we really enjoyed it. We reckon he could play by the infinity pool as well :) If you have beautiful pool and cocktails, there is only one thing which missing an it is Deephouse music :) i have to mention lady named Reenoo, she can do the best banana and coconut jam. And Vishakas pancakes are phenomenal as well. I would welcome some yoga classes, as the place is very peacefull. Our holiday last 10 days from 25-4/1/2020. Room number was 510 with sea view.
Our previous visit to this hotel was in 2006 so we were interested to see whether it still had the ambience which initially attracted us .
Absolutely YES
When we arrived just after midday after an overnight flight from LHR, the staff at the hotel were still “mopping up” after heavy rain the previous day . On our last visit to Mauritius ( not to this hotel) we had been hit by a cyclone so know the risks of the weather. In fact apart from the occasional 20 minute shower we had sunshine for our 11 day stay .
The hotel is a nice size for us -80 rooms , and all the staff are vey helpful and friendly . My wife has an allergy to certain mollusc seafoods ( eg mussels ) and the staff were keen to ensure they were aware of this.
The food was excellent with lots of choices at every meal . Some evenings were Table D’hote service and some were buffets .
Lunch time was either the St Geran restaurant service or bar snacks, depending on what you preferred.
Breakfast was a good range of fruit/ cereal/ cakes / yoghurt/ cold meats /cheeses as well as the usual egg station and bacon/sausage etc . On top of this there were local delicacies served around the site most afternoons like Cassava pancakes or crepes
All inclusive runs from 11am-11pm for drinks and the menu clearly shows which ones are free ( the majority) . Staff also bring drinks to the poolside
All meals and drinks have to be “signed for” even though there is no cost which can be a bit of a faff on
Minibar in the room has free beer, juice, water and cola too but snacks like crisps incur a cost
Room kept very clean by daily service . TV- not much on of interest ( no 6 nations rugby!)
The Spa was a nice treat for my wife for a pedicure & manicure
We didn’t use any of the sea going activities as we are not that way inclined , but they looked OK
There is the occasional quiet stray dog that wanders around hoping to be fed but they don’t bother people.
Local village is just outside the hotel on the left and is pretty laid back and locals are friendly. . My wife even managed Mass in the local Catholic church which is 10 mins walk away. She avoided the 7am Sunday one and went to the 4pm Saturday service !
This is a very relaxing hotel and the staff are very good and quick to respond if any issues do occur ( eg we had a leak on our A/C which was sorted in 5 minutes) .
There was a range of evening and lunchtime entertainment which was good . Those SEGA dancers certainly need energy
It is very good value for money too . No doubt we will return again soon

No idea about Coeliac diet, suggest contacting them direct.
July don't forget it Autumn /Winter for them. We were there in May it was raining a few days but about 27 °.
Nice Hotel, we normally do 5 * but we found it lovely, good staff and food good especially in the Restaurant on the jetty, which we preferred, I'm not a big Buffet fan.
It's not 5 * tho bit small for true 5 * services.
