The hotel is very clean and the staff very pleasant. Regarding the food, it remains suitable and very diversified. The drinks included in the tour were very diverse and it was very nice to not only have 2 or 3 cocktails or drinks included in the package. The evening entertainment is very good. The beach is beautiful and accessible from the hotel. As for the swimming pool, a good cleaning is necessary because it is not always very clean. And the negative point: the location of the hotel. Indeed the hotel is surrounded by public space which brings a lot of people coming and going... parties and a lot of noise in the evening which can be a little harmful if you have rooms that are right next door which was our case... you should also know that we are 2 minutes from the airport so planes pass through but that didn't bother us. In addition we came across THE room next to the renovation work of another room which is not very intelligent because the work starts at 8 a.m. by staff who are even noisier than the work itself.. We asked to change rooms and we were told that it was not possible, saying that the hotel was "full" but we were offered nothing else... when we flew 12 hours and we pay a certain amount to be on vacation we still expect a certain service and above all respect.. Especially since the room doors are as if they didn't exist because we hear all the outside noises.. well very disappointed on this point.

I spent a week at Peninsula Bay in January The Coralia team with Cathelina as hostess is at the top His young age combined with a great mentality allows him to listen to children but also adults Despite the passage of a cyclone, the hotel and coralia maintained a welcome, service, and entertainment In short, this family-sized club, with varied cuisine, located on Blue Bay beach is worth the detour. Barely leaving the hotel we find ourselves mixed up in the life of Blue Bay between expats and Mauritians To redo

The hotel’s amenities were basic, and the rooms could use some updating, but the friendly and attentive staff made up for it. They were always welcoming and ready to help with anything we needed. The standout feature of this hotel is its close to airport and has a great pool, beach and water activities included. There are transportation options for taxi / tour guide service available just outside the hotel. We found a great tour guide Nadeem and can totally recommend it for anyone looking to have an authentic and memorable experience. If you’re looking for convenience and great service over luxury, this is a solid choice!

We booked this hotel as a technical stop before leaving the island of Mauritius since it is only a 10-15 minute taxi ride from the hotel to the airport. And in general, we didn’t expect anything special from our stay here. Moreover, we were traveling to them in very heavy rain, when the whole of Mauritius was waiting for a new cyclone Candice. BUT when we saw the picturesque facade of the hotel with the warm light emanating from inside, framed by the columns of the main entrance, our melancholy immediately evaporated. And within a couple of minutes we were in a cozy foyer, smoothly passing into the restaurant hall with tables under white tablecloths. Our Privilege room was on the second floor and the journey there took place along a very beautiful, simply cinematic white staircase with curved wooden railings. The room turned out to be two-level and with a large balcony overlooking a huge pool and the ocean. On the upper level there was a bathroom with a bathtub and a hallway with a wardrobe, and on the lower level there was a bedroom. For a hotel that is positioned as 3 stars, this is simply a gorgeous room. Breakfast and dinner at the hotel are served as a buffet. The theme of the dinners changes every day. We were able to taste Mediterranean and Creole cuisine. All this was very tasty and was accompanied by the sounds of a saxophone and Latin-style vocals. In the evenings, for some reason, it seemed to us that we were somewhere in Argentina in the 30s and 40s of the last century, although in fact most of the guests were clearly French. Now about the beach. Gentlemen, I can responsibly declare that Blue Bay beach is probably the most beautiful among all the beaches of Mauritius. It is endless, incredibly picturesque and diverse. And here is practically the only place where we, while snorkeling, saw a wide variety of colored fish. I can confidently recommend this hotel not only as a place from and to which it is convenient to arrive after a long flight, but also as a hotel for a long holiday in Mauritius.

I spent 8 days at Peninsula Bay at the end of October 2023. This hotel is the best value for money you can find: located in the heart of the lagoon, it is ideal for snorkeling (probably the most beautiful and accessible spot in Mauritius, excluding the Northern Islands), with magnificent spots directly on the beach. of the hotel. If you prefer more "relaxing" beaches, you only have to walk 1 minute to find yourself on the lagoon beach which is wide and turquoise. My room was very clean and very pretty (some people complain about the bathroom, in fact it is separated from the bedroom by large windows, it can be annoying if you are modest but it remains "airtight" and still practical) . A big positive point: THE BUFFET! It was varied with Thai/Chinese, Indian, Mauritian and Italian cuisines. I enjoyed myself every evening. The breakfast does not vary but it is very good and you can enjoy it with a view of the sea every morning. The hotel offers plenty of free activities including puddle, kayaking... and in particular 2 free boat trips per day on the lagoon, which is quite exceptional considering the price you would pay outside the hotel. In terms of paid activities, I was able to test their spa including their massages which I would recommend. In addition, I did my first dive with them for the price of 95 euros which may seem expensive but you will see that the prices in Mauritius are very high and given the places where they take us, I would still recommend it. Finally, I would like to highlight the kindness and professionalism of the entire hotel team, from the cleaning and kitchen team to the entertainment team who are always smiling and welcoming. (You will see that it is a Mauritian cultural phenomenon...) The arrival/departure management of the hotel is also remarkable since they provide a room in the hotel spa which is reserved for customers who arrive before the availability of their room or leave after having returned it. We can therefore shower and go to the toilet in peace, which is not something we should refuse after a long flight. To conclude, it is true that the hotel is close to the airport so you can hear the planes when you are on the beach, but honestly it did not bother me at all because it barely lasts 30 seconds and they do not rarely pass. I will obviously return to this hotel with my eyes closed. (Bonus: magnificent sunsets observable from the hotel)

After 15 days in the East of the island, we stayed at Le Peninsula only one night to be close to the airport the day before our return, convinced to make the most of the day in Blue Bay and specifically what the hotel offered. Unfortunately our experiences were not satisfactory:
- very small noisy room; wooden entrance door that did not close well, noise coming from the corridor; uncomfortable mattresses and pillows, without wardrobe but only with a small compartment for hanging clothes with 5 hangers in total, 2 shelves for storing other clothes, 1 shelf for the coffee / tea machine; 1 small noisy fridge; 1 coffee table with 1 armchair completely ruined.
- dirty and neglected outdoor space: the pool was full of dirt and yellow water; the few sun loungers by the pool all occupied by abandoned towels; the beach volleyball court was used as a solarium;
- not commentable cuisine: the buffet dinner (included in the HB rate) was nothing short of embarrassing, foods with all the same flavor of spices regardless of whether they were chicken, fish, rice or vegetables; the salad buffet ridiculous as there were 5/6 bowls of various salads but all with the same ingredients mixed in different proportions (corn, green beans, tomato, cheese chunks, shrimp ..); the scandalous thing was the line as in the cafeteria, with about forty Indian pensioners who elbowed and slipped in to get spoonfuls of all these "delicacies" and touched everything with their hands; embarrassing fruit buffet : fruit in syrup from a supermarket can, the one already in chunks, and apples! Ok that August in Mauritius is winter but we have always found other fruit, even at the Point of Sale. To feed ourselves we ate slices of baguette smeared with salted butter! For the record, the receptionist advised other guests to go to dinner outside the hotel to eat better;-)
- beach behind the structure not practicable causes wind but especially black rocks that come out (can only be used by those who practice kitesurfing or windsurfing);
- marina in front of the structure busy with boats and small boats, remains a small area delimited by buoys for those who want to swim but murky water and overcrowded beach;
That's it, I would say there is already enough material to reason if the structure is worth the price.

The hotel has its own private beach area with free snorkelling and boat trips. It is also short walk to get to the main blue bay beach area. Delicious food options at the buffet particularly the Mauritian and Indian nights though there could be more vegetarian protein options on some of the other nights. Clean comfortable bedrooms which had beautiful views of the bay, though the bathroom is not really separate from the main bedroom. The couple’s massage from the spa was very enjoyable and reasonably priced at 4400 rupees. Swimming pool was fine, could have been a little cleaner and didn’t get particularly deep. This is not a huge hotel so all rooms and very close to the swimming pool/bar/restaurant and beach. Our flight was in the evening but even after we checked out the room we could enjoy the rest of the all inclusive facilities in the hotel and store our luggage in the secure luggage room. I would recommend hiring a car and seeing some of the other beautiful sights Mauritius has to offer.

We really enjoyed our two weeks, we knew this was a relatively small hotel and we were not expecting that luxury large resort feel, if you are after this then you may wish to spend quite alot more money to visit those type of resorts. The location was for us great, next to blue bay fantastic snorkelling and the hotel offer one free boat trip into blue bay, but the shore by the hotel also is a great spot for snorkelling. The food for us was great, always a good variety in the evening a real attempt was made to offer something different over our whole stay. The food was very tasty, but this was not your usual buffet that you may find in Turkey, we only saw chips once at lunch the whole two weeks and not a nugget or burger in sight , for us this was great but if you maybe a bit fussy with food don’t like fish, spice sauces etc or are vegetarian or vegan you may struggle. The drink quality was ok, always offer still or sparkling water lunch and diner. The time for the evening meal was from 7.30 for us not an issue but some may find this a bit late, but as small amount of guests I understand why it makes more sense for most people to eat at similar time. Staff all across hotel were great, friendly and attentive. Entertainment seemed to be arranged by a French tour operator and at times felt exclusive for their guests only but other times did get everyone evolved. Hotel did also organise some, really nice pre diner get together with homemade rum and Mauritian nibbles, got the guests chatting to each other which was lovely, followed by Mauritian dancers and band after diner. Our room was a standard room and for a two week stay did feel a tad small, but lovely comfy bed, good air con and very clean. Pool could do with a drain and re paint, and there was a hot tub outside that was not working, it did seem the hotel was undergoing improvements whilst we were there with new TV/ Telephone lines being installed and general maintenance being carried out, but overall everything was good. We hired a car for 4 days and had a great drive around Mauritius and visited some beaches next to these large more luxury resorts and we did ask ourselves if these hotels are worth the extra money, that is all a personal choice, but you can not compare this hotel to those they both offer something different, but ultimately you will all swim in the same wonderful blue sea. We would go back if the price remained competitive to those other luxury resorts. There have been some negative reviews and I do not know what people have paid but at the end of the day if you are not paying 5 star price you are not going to get 5 star luxury.

We came to spend 2 nights in this hotel. The spot is very beautiful but the hotel is a disaster! It's old and not maintained. The pool water is cloudy, the terrace surrounding the pool is made of composite with heat you burn your feet! Our room gave on the public beach a lot of noise day and night (music and firecracker all night impossible to sleep) The toilet has no real door hello privacy! In the bathroom there is a window that overlooks the hallway so we constantly have daylight and night lighting that illuminates the room. The curtains in the room are not blackout at all. It is a shame to give a room on the public beach side! The hotel is very noisy whether it's the housekeepers screaming in the hallways all day or the music in the rooms until 1am in the morning. The reception staff is not at all kind, no hello, no goodbye when we left, not smiling, jaded while the Mauritians we rubbed shoulders elsewhere were all very polite and attentive. Only the person in charge of the bar was very kind... It is a shame and unpleasant to end our stay like this. The wifi is very bad it cuts all the time. Breakfast is basic and dinner is average. Very disappointed with this hotel which is not worthy of a 3 star it deserves 1 star!! If you wish for calm, rest and a very good Mauritian welcome go elsewhere!!

This is my second stay at the Peninsula Hotel. Both stays were wonderful, and my wife and I definitely intend to come back! Both times, we chose the beachfront rooms.
The food was great, with a different themed buffet every night. We loved the variety, from Italian and Chinese to Mauritian Creole, and even a BBQ night. The resort also offered a lot of fun evening activities.
We took full advantage of the free water activities the hotel provides. We went kayaking, snorkeling, and even on a glass-bottom boat ride. The water right in front of the hotel was crystal clear, perfect for swimming and snorkeling. It’s also super close to Blue Bay Beach, which has the most vibrant, beautiful waters for swimming and soft white sand.
The service at the resort was excellent. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, and we felt really safe thanks to the noticeable security presence. Plus, the location is super convenient.
Overall, we are really happy with both our stays at Le Peninsula Bay. It’s a great choice!
