In 2015, i came to your hotel. I was on an all inclusive package. i went to the bar 10mins before closure (18.20) and the barman looked at me from head to toe. It was in a really rude manner and refused to serve me a simple sandwich. When i complained nothing was done due to "lack of proof". I was a joke! Today im searching for a spa (a local one) because i support local #mypeople. I invest in mauritian people and support mauritian resources. im a firm believer of that concept. I encourage people around me to invest in our hotels and our people; its my new tagline. I saved and in hard times i want to invest to save other people's job. But concerning Maritim im still perplex. The worse part i have PCOS and take insulin. So i need food not to fall apart! Unforgettable and sad! I just wanted to get that out of my system after 5 years and revoice out a traumatic experience. #dontinvest

Dear Valued Guest, Thank you for supporting the local businesses and for sharing your experience on this platform, although we do not understand why you choose to inform us of this situation after five years. We are appalled to read about your experience as we do not condone such behaviors from our staff, whose core responsibility is to serve and core duty is to assist any guest, especially guests with special dietary requirements. It has been our forte since the last 29 years of operations in the hospitality industry, to take special care of our guests with dietary requirements, both for their safety and for their enjoyment. All guests, irrespective of the meal plan booked, have access to the main restaurant as from 18h30 and to the room service in their room on a 24 hours basis. Depending on their package, they may also consume food items provided in the minibar, which is refilled on a daily basis. We do hope that you shall give us the opportunity to serve you and to assist you in turning your MARITIM memories into a more relaxing and enjoyable one. My partner and I stayed here for a wedding which actually was at another hotel. We stayed all inclusive. So everything was free including the drinks (where applicable). The staff were very friendly and rooms were spacious and clean. We had a room with a jacuzzi which was nice to relaxing in with a bottle of bubbly. The beach wasn’t too busy or noisy which was perfect to relax and get a tan. On the beach they have local people selling souvenirs to excursions. They aren’t pushy in selling you anything and all have to be licensed to work there. We were approached by a young local gentle called Brette Olvier who sold us an excursion via speed boat. He was a lovely, honest and polite gentlemen. We booked and visited the island Ile Aux cerf, the waterfalls and stopped off at another beach for lunch. Absolutely delicious food! If your ever looking to book a guide please look out for him on the beach at the Maritim Resort. Highly recommend using him to book any boat trips etc. Overall I would visit and stay at this hotel again. Food was good, rooms were clean, staff were friendly and beach was quiet and peaceful.

Our room was large with a balcony and a lovely bathroom. Meals in the buffet, beach restaurant and the a la carte restaurants were usually good. The waiting staff were always busy but were often stretched which was not their fault. We had a very good meal in the Mauritian restaurant made even more pleasant by Ashi who was our waitress. The meal at the Chateau was excellent, particularly as the food by Chef Nallan was as good as we expect in London restaurants. We struggled with the flies on the beach and in the buffet restaurant, which was not the same for friends who stayed two hotels away, so this does need to be addressed. We were aware that the hotel was in need of renovation which we took into account for the price we paid.
