This was our 3rd visit to the Oberoi Mauritius and once again the hotel and team exceeded our expectations. From the moment the immaculate Oberoi driver meets you at the airport you slip into a world of relaxation and pampering. The resort remains one of the most beautiful that we have ever visited. The grounds are stunning and rooms spacious and very, very comforable with silent aircon. The food available via the 2 restaurants or private dining is perfectly presented and there are options to suit everyone. This is a hotel that goes above and beyond to take care of its guests and almost anticipate their every need. Every member of staff (and they outnumber guests by a large margin!) has an easy efficient manner without being over attentive, nothing seems to be too much trouble. It was impossible to fault the Oberoi's attention to detail concerning pandemic precautions - we felt extremely safe and relaxed more fully than we have been able to do for many months - thank you! Our visits to the spa did contribute to this process..... Finally, if you are lucky enough to be staying in one of the fabulous pool villas, order the "floating breakfast", it was the most fun two septuagenarians have had in a long time! The Oberoi Mauritius really is very, very special!

We stayed at the Oberoi for 5 nights in November 2021 and had the most wonderful stay. If you are considering any hotel in Mauritius, book this one. The biggest comment we have is that each member of staff - from check in, to the restaurants, to the boat house, was so friendly and hospitable, and was proactive in going out of his or her way to accommodate any request. To name a few, Nishal, Ocean, Miven, Sona, Amrish and Baboo were all so friendly, welcoming and caring. The hotel itself is beautiful, comprising a number of individual rooms and villas set in beautiful, lush gardens (a lot of green everywhere) across a stretch of beach. You wake up to the sound of chirping birds and a sea view. The hotel offers great activities (we enjoyed pottery just 5 minutes drive away). The massages are also some of the best we have had and the spa is done up beautifully. Our yoga instructor Henrio was so calm and friendly and gave us a really fulfilling class. The quality of the food was excellent across both the main restaurant and the “On The Rocks” restaurant. We also enjoyed the bar for sunset drinks. We didn’t get to try the Creole restaurant or the Herb Garden restaurant. As mentioned above, the staff and chefs were all so friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back.

Visited the Oberoi last week. From the moment I arrived I knew this was somewhere very special. You arrive along a lush driveway where at the end you are met by Oberoi staff with a welcome drink and hot towels. I’ve stayed in the Oberoi hotels in India so I knew that the staff were attentive and professional. Check in was done in our pavilion. The pavilion was lovely, it has a bathroom with a sunken bath and cloakroom as you enter and this leads into a spacious bedroom with sofa and a gallery ceiling. The room looked out onto the gardens with the bay in the distance. We stayed for 4 nights but wish it was longer. The food was delicious and the menu was vast for breakfast. They change the menu twice weekly so you have plenty of dishes to choose from! We had a lovely romantic dinner on the beach one night and drinks by the banyan tree. Nothing was too much hassle. I thoroughly recommend a stay here. There are two pools, a family one and an adults only one. Both were heated. There is also a water sports centre where you can take out a glass bottom kayak or other non motorised water sports. The resort and staff were first class!

Everything in this resort was perfect. I stayed in the luxury pavilion room and the room was stunning with a sunken bath overlooking a private garden with sea views. I saw the other room types that feature a private pool and the presidential suite that has 2 rooms with a larger pool and separate living area. The food was outstanding some of the best I've experienced. The setting was beautiful you can have a candlelit private dinner on the beach, lots of different types of cuisines and you have to try the smoke pit BBQ! Lots of activities to keep you entertained like painting classes, tai chi, yoga, spa treatments, wine tasting, watersports and tours to the south island - you will not get bored. The hospitality and service was great and I liked that the breakfast was a la carte instead of buffet. There's a great kids club on site too with their own private kids pool and lots of activities to keep them entertained. This resort was outstanding and truly deserves their 5 star rating. I can't wait to come back!

I’ve just returned from a 5 day stay at the beautiful Oberoi Beach Resort in Mauritius and I can tell you I didn’t want to leave. It is a beautiful hotel, from the moment you enter the grounds a feeling of calm and peacefulness descends on you and stays that way throughout your entire stay. The hotel only has 71 rooms and the gardens and landscaping take up 60% of the resort, which is why it feels so calm, and you can hear the sounds of birds everywhere, even from your shower that opens onto a private walled garden. My room, the Luxury Pavillion was big and spacious and very comfortable. I had a lovely ocean view. I loved the restaurants and the food was excellent. My favourite spot to dine was at On the Rocks restaurant for lunch. It is perched right on the edge of the ocean, I could sit and enjoy that view all day. I also enjoyed a destination dining experience right on the beach and a dinner in the Herb Trail Garden where the lamb was slow cooked in the fire pit for 12 hours. It was delicious! The staff are amazing and one of the things that sets the Oberoi apart from other hotels is the unexpected. Every day I would return to my room after service to find a lovely little surprise. It’s the small things that really can make a difference. There are two very large swimming pools, one is adults only and they are both lovely and a great place to relax the day away. The beach has white soft sand but is quite rocky and has a lot of coral because its part of a marine bay. But there is a jetty where you can enter the ocean from and makes it easy to swim from here in the crystal clear water. Great water sports with glass bottom kayaks and stand up paddle boards as well as tennis court and bikes to explore the local area. I enjoyed a massage whilst there and it was very good. I truly loved my stay, I just didn’t want to leave. Highly recommended for a high end luxury relaxing break. Just perfect!
