We stayed at Paradise Cove for 10 days for our honeymoon. The rooms are beautiful, very clean and laid out well so you don't hear your neighbours. The food is incredible, especially the sushi restaurant (XO) and we had a candle lit dinner which was so good - our waiter Dev deserves a special mention. The pools and beach area are great, and we always found somewhere to sit each day with no problem. We particularly liked the loungers around the Peninsula as they were more spaced out. Our only negative feedback was that there was no where to access drinking water. We were on half board and it seemed the only way to get water was to pay around £3.50 a bottle at the bar. You do get one big glass bottle in the room each day but it's not enough when the weather is hot. When we have stayed at similar quality hotels, drinkable (filtered) tap water has always been available on requests. Apart from this we had a wonderful time and hope to visit again. …
What can I say …. From arrival to departure on our honeymoon my husband and I truly were in Paradise. The Hotel is spot on with its name ! We stayed in the one of the Prestige Suites and the room was outstanding. We booked All inclusive and enjoyed all the facilities that the hotel had to offer. The food was absolutely incredible. Breakfast in the main restaurant really good and John looked after us each day. We mainly ate at the Peninsula for Lunch - amazing view of the sea - and had incredible meals at all Of the restaurants. The staff were so attentive in particular Manoj at the peninsula he looked after us every day with drinks just press the buzzer next to your lounger and he would appear. Also Sangeeta serving us at lunchtime along with Deepti. At night entertainment was really good not too OTT. The bar staff at the Sway bar were great in particular niteesh. An amazing time we loved it!! What a place . I applaud all the staff for making this place the most incredible place to stay and we can’t wait to return .…
We went for 2 weeks to Paradise Cove and had an amazing time. We stayed in a Prestige Suite and went on an all inclusive basis. The decor, staff, food and views were all excellent. We tried the included water sports including the glass bottom boat trip which was great. We were impressed by the quality of the food. The view from the Peninsula restaurant at lunch was of the sea and just a gorgeous setting. The candle light dinner that was part of the honeymoon package we had was really special. From the top pool which is an infinity pool you have an impressive sea view looking at island, from your sun lounger there is a service button to press to place your drinks order. The sun loungers were generally spread out so couples were together but not too close to other people especially with the love nests which was lovely. Comfy sun-loungers too. In the evenings there is live music and a pool table and darts board, which was great to meet other couples and make friends. In terms of covid, the staff wear masks, and guests only need to wear masks if going to the reception and when going up to the buffet. We actually felt this was great for a buffet setting, they have masks if you forget. The covid test at the begging of the trip was quick and we didn’t have to pay. They also do some temperature checks during the trip when we went to breakfast but a quick scan of the wrist was painless. We were able to keep our room until we left on the departure day (6pm) and lots of other couples had been too. If you can’t they have bathrooms for guests checking out late. The all inclusive lasted until we left also which was great. We went on the Pirogue trip, a wooden boat with a parasol, it was a private trip and we thought it was great, we went on the half day but thought we should have booked the full day it was that good. Overall we were so pleased with the hotel we picked and had such a special honeymoon.…
We are enjoying our final day at Paradise Cove and aren’t ready to go home. The hotel has lived up to its name in every way. The rooms, grounds and facilities are stunning, clean and modern. The staff are friendly and provide a personal service. The all inclusive option has been good value for money, with great choice of food, wine and cocktails. We took mountain bikes out to explore the local area and enjoyed a private boat trip organised by the hotel. The spa was also an incredible experience. We spent a few days at Le Prince Maurice and Belle Mare Plage (both Constance and as part of a large group- really good for group holidays!) before coming here but this hotel has been our favourite by far for a relaxing couples holiday. We have been fortunate to stay in some stunning hotels over the years, but this is by far our favourite. We will be back.…
Return last week from 12 nights at Paradise Cove. Our first holiday since COVID struck so we wanted something special and it did not disappoint. From the moment we arrived the service was excellent. With check in and the statutory Covid test out of the way we were free to explore all that Paradise Cove had to offer. The food, rooms and facilities were all superb. But what made this place one of the best places we have ever stayed was the staff. Always happy to help make our stay extra special. There were a number of staff that I could single out as going over and above, but in truth it was all the staff that did this. From the fantastic group of gardeners that made our surrounding beautiful daily to housekeeping , bar and restaurant staff and reception to name just a few groups that make Paradise Cove run so smoothly. Each and every staff member plays their part to make this resort so special and are a credit to the resort. It is definitely somewhere we hope to revisit in the future.…
We have just returned from Paradise Cove Boutique Hotel, and it was beyond doubt, the best hotel we have stayed in in Mauritius. The room was beautiful, the food was excellent and the staff were just exceptionally friendly. A special shout out to Michael (main pool), Depak (Peninsula) and Nitesh (main bar) they were fantastic, they always had a beer ready for Mr Cross whenever we showed up. Nicolas, the Hotel manager, greeted us most days to ensure we were being looked after. We skipped the Cove restaurant as it seemed a little on the pricey side. We were on the All Inclusive package which was well worth it. The ground floor units were superb. Thanks to you all for making our trip very special indeed. We shall definitely return. Therese and Shaun Cross.
We stayed at Paradise Cove for our honeymoon in April/ May 2022. I can honestly say that it is the most beautiful, clean, friendly, luxurious hotel we have ever stayed in. The weather was also amazing with only 1 cloudy day. Every other day was clear blue skies and 28 degrees and a lovely breeze. Location: About 1 hour 15 from the airport and we arranged a transfer via the hotel which was seamless. The hotel isn't in a town or village so you can't walk anywhere from the hotel but there are excursions, like bike rides to a nearby village, available. The hotel is set in a quite, secluded cove with white sands and crystal clear water. Very private and very quiet. You can't get enough of the views and setting and it's honestly like paradise. The quiet setting might not be for everyone, but it was perfect for us. Food: Breakfast is served in the main buffet breakfast and there is a wide selection. There is a continental offering and hot, and also pancakes and eggs to order. At lunch you can eat in one of 2 bars and both offer drinks all day and then there are 4 options for dinner. The main buffet restaurant isn't like an ordinary hotel buffet- it feels like a smart, classy restaurant (note: men must wear long trousers and they do enforce this). The buffet has themed nights and doesn't need to be booked. XO offers sushi and Peninsula is an a la carte menu. The Cove is a must- do, one off where you get to dine in little huts over the water- the lobster menu is pricey but worth it. I would say the food quality is exceptional. We eat in Michelin star restaurants and couldn't fault the food at the hotel. The portion sizes are also good :) You do need to book XO, Peninsula and The Cove and we did this in advance. We also did the AI option and it was 100% worth it. We had drinks on tap and enjoyed the stress- free holiday it gave us. Room: We had room 121 which was a standard room and we were so impressed. The next grade 'up' gives you another seating area in your room but we knew we wouldn't use it so didn't waste the money. The finish of the rooms are all exactly the same so if you opt for the standard you wouldn't feel the difference. All rooms have the same view over the cove so you don't need to worry, but we requested a 2nd floor room for extra peace and quiet. I slept so well and we didn't hear a thing from below or next door. The terrace was large with a sofa and the bed was a super king. The bathroom has a double sink and walk in shower and wardrobes and the finish was amazing. The rooms have a colonial vibe with soft neutrals, wicker and linen- I loved it. Cleaners come by twice a day (including a turn down service) and they refill your minifridge and water both times. You get beach towels too. Service: The service was just exceptional. The staff couldn't do enough and they are clearly trained to the highest standards. Michael, who served us drinks on the beach, was efficient and professional and Deepak was so knowledgeable about wine and the local area. We were always asked if the hotel could do more for us and if we were having a good stay, and they even went above and beyond when I needed medicine from the local pharmacy and they got it delivered within 1 hour for me. You can tell they take service very seriously. Hotel: Check-in was seamless and we had a personal tour around the hotel. Check-out was excellent because we were given late check-out as no-one was booked into our room afterwards and this wasn't an issue for them. If you do need to check-out at 12, you can use the arrivals/ departures lounge which has private rooms with showers so you can freshen up. An excellent feature. I wish I could copy/ steal the interiors- I was in love! The colonial style was echoed throughout the hotel and the furnishings were to die for. They've clearly spent a lot of time and money and it shows. It's also incredibly clean with no dust or dirt. It's quite open air so it also felt very safe from a COVID perspective and there are hand sanitizers all around and staff wear masks. The gardens are absolutely stunning and so tropical and lush. I walked around the gardens a lot. The spa was fantastic too and has it's own pool area and beds. It was so tranquil we actually spent a few hours relaxing there after our treatments. We loved the peace and quiet but some people might prefer more music by the pool and a party atmosphere- it is 100% not that kind of hotel so bear that in mind when deciding what vibe you're looking for. There is evening entertainment and an amazing cocktail menu and it's all very classy and laid back. Lastly, there are so many little areas to sunbathe from the beach, to the pool, to the love nest huts to the Peninsula area which has a bar and infinity pool and views out to sea. There is a bit of sunbed reserving which was a bit annoying if you want to be on the Peninsula or have a love nest, but we actually preferred being on the beach because the service was better for drinks- you didn't need to move because Michael would be on hand constantly to serve you! We honestly had the best honeymoon and we couldn't believe we were in paradise. After all the research we had done and reviews we had read, we couldn't be more pleased with our choice. You will 100% not regret choosing to stay here…
I loved our stay in Paradise Cove. The hotel is very calm, perfect if you just want to relax and forget about your worries. The rooms are beautiful, great design, cleanliness on point, staff is always friendly and helpful. My fav place was the "Peninsula" with spectacular view of Coin de Mire Island and great bar+ restaurant. I recommend this place 100% to all honeymooners and all couples who are seeking chilled and relaxed atmosphere. Oh and delicious food!!
When we first arrived after a 12hour flight + travel time, we instantly relaxed seeing that we had, quite literally, arrived in paradise. The staff are beyond amazing here - special shout out to Michael in particular for keeping us well watered around the pool every day and to all of the lovely bar, restaurant and very present management staff. They honestly can’t do enough for you which was such a treat. The grounds, pool and room were all beautifully designed, well looked after and very clean. We opted to do bed and breakfast and went into grand baie a couple of nights for dinner which was a great experience but in hindsight we probably would have done all inclusive if we knew the food at the dining room was going to be so delicious. Their Indian night on Sunday was spectacular - for any UK-based Dishoom lovers, it was on par! We had a wonderful, peaceful and incredible first 5 nights in mauritus spent here. Everything was seamless from the very beginning when they picked us up from the airport to arranging our transfer to the South of the island. I would recommend this hotel to anyone :)…
We stayed at Paradise Cove for two weeks from 23rd April for our honeymoon, after getting married in December. I had done lots of research and found Paradise Cove through its amazing reviews. It did not disappoint in any way. It is by the far the best hotel we have stayed in, with the most incredible and hard working staff. Everything was perfection from start to finish. Even when we had an issue with an overpayment, management dealt extremely well with this and frequently checked in with us to check it was sorted. We are massive foodies so the quality of food available was a big thing for us. All I can say was the food was UNREAL! So much choice. We were on the all inclusive package which was worth every penny - highly recommend the hibiscus spritz which is my new summer cocktail of choice. We also had a candlelit dinner at the cove with our honeymoon package, as well as paying extra for the lobster menu one night (totally worth the money). XO restaurant was delicious, as well as the Peninsula. We loved the sundowners sessions on Friday and Saturday at the Peninsula between 5 and 7pm where you can watch the sunset with a cocktail in hand and Emmanuel the DJ playing - beautiful. Everything is perfection at Paradise Cove but what truly makes it what it is is its staff who work tirelessly every day to ensure their guests are happy. All of the staff in the Stay Bar were incredible, always remembering our fave drink choices. Nitesh was such a great guy! We also loved the rum tasting by one of the members of staff (sorry I didn't note down the name) on 5th May and he was brilliant! We spent most of our days on the cove beach area and Michael was always there, bringing drinks and cucumber for the eyes. He is a total credit to the hotel and we adored him. All of the waiters in the restaurants were just wonderful. The chef team deserves so much credit - the food they create is so flavoursome and gorgeous. We loved the Indian and Mauritius buffet nights at the dining room. Again, the chef team work SO hard. You will see the same chef cooking omlettes in the morning then at the dinner service at night. We appreciated the chef teams so much and they are all credits to Paradise Cove. We did the catamaran tour with the hotel and this was one of our favourite days. Only a max of 10 people are allowed on each trip which makes it nice and intimate. We visited the gorgeous flat island with the most incredible sandy beach and clear sea. The BBQ on board was soooo delicious and the guys running the trip were amazing. To summarise, we had the most perfect honeymoon ever. Northern Mauritius had fabulous weather (much better than south and east from what we saw on our tours). We will definitely return at some point and can't wait for that day! We highly recommend to EVERYONE! …
