In the North of Mauritius, along a still protected coast, Lagoon Attitude has idly settled on the shores of the very wide Anse la Raie lagoon. The hotel is certified Travelife Gold for its continuous efforts towards social and environmental sustainability practices: protection of the mangroves, the Marine Lab, an educational center whose vocation is to share the treasures of the lagoon or the underwater snorkeling trail to discover... Here, one cannot resist the call of the ocean with a broad range of inviting nautical activities, mostly non-motorized: stand-up paddle, kayak, windsurf, excursions on board the hotel’s catamaran among many others. This 4-star adult-only hotel is ideal for a fun or a peaceful holiday with a choice of 3 very different atmospheres: the otentik, the lively and the laid-back areas. In this exotic setting, the service provided by the caring Family Members is a true reflection of Mauritian hospitality.

Lagoon Attitude receives accolades for its attentive staff and vibrant atmosphere, complete with a range of evening entertainment, although a few guests find the music repetitive. While some travelers commend the clean, eco-friendly rooms with stunning views, others mention maintenance and space issues. The hotel's secluded yet beautiful location with private beaches is well-liked, and its array of amenities, including pools, dining, and water activities, are popular for providing good value. However, the non-walkability to other amenities and additional costs prompt mixed feelings. Overall, the hotel's cleanliness and sustainability efforts earn praise.

We can definitely recommend the resort because we liked it a lot. The complex is beautifully embedded in nature and has a beautiful garden, which is also constantly maintained, as well as the whole complex is well maintained.

The MA at reception were very friendly and helpful. Check-in was quick and uncomplicated. Since we arrived very early, we had to wait for our carpenter. However, we were able to use the resources from the resort immediately, which definitely shortened the waiting time. In general, the MA at the resort were very friendly and helpful.

The room we liked well, but had to decline two rooms before, as it did not correspond to the booking, everything was done quickly.
Our room with sea view, the shower and toilet were separate, but is not in every room, but we would not have cared, everything was top!
In the room there are two water bottles, which can be replaced if necessary, and an electric kettle. The air conditioning is manually adjustable and the beds were good, nice room 🙂.

The resort is about an hour's drive from the airport. We booked a transfer in advance and we were more than happy with that.
It was a nice ride and the driver gave us some good tips in places.

The buffet restaurant and the à la carte restaurants were all excellent from the atmosphere, you felt comfortable. The food tasted great in the buffet restaurant, good selection and varied. The à la carte restaurants didn’t convince us so much, but are a pleasant change, but the best thing was the Taba-j, at noon outside in the garden, simple and very delicious and well attended 😋.

They offered kayaking and pedal boating at the Boathouse, stand-up paddle and windsurfing, further they offer a snorkel tour and they go out with the glass bottom boat.
There is no longer a diving school on site, they now work together with the sister hotel Zilwa Attitude, diving school Dodo Divers is about 10 minutes away by boat. They organize everything, you don't have to worry about anything.

I thought it was a pity that you can't really snorkel, I was really looking forward to it. There is simply not to see that water is very murky and therefore is simply not fun ...

The only downside was that the MA were unable to clear the small stretch of beach of seagrass over several days. Also at the Boathouse the guests have to walk through the sea grass to take advantage of a sports offer, I personally did not mind, but the other guests I believe already!

It is unfortunate that you can not really recommend snorkeling here. I would like to swim in the sea, but to get into the sea you had to go through the seagrass carpet. For many guests this was an imposition and it doesn't matter if this is natural or not!

Also the area where the beach chairs are was very nicely laid out, with always enough choice of chairs, and yes, the chairs are reserved with towels, but still in the frame and also not before breakfast 😂.

Arrive at a hotel with endless possibilities - that is the fitting headline for the Lagoon Attitude.
The hotel consistently makes a major contribution to preserving the island's ecosystem by doing away with plastic as far as possible. Bottles to fill up with water are provided by the hotel in addition to the water in the room. Coffee can be freshly ground and taken to the room. The minibar can be refilled daily with two soft drinks and two beers in the hotel store fridge.
The quality of the food is really very, very good and super fresh, as well as varied.
I particularly like the fact that you can use all of the hotel's restaurants free of charge with All Inclusive, reservation required in advance, as there are only limited seats available in each restaurant, but this is by no means a negative, but offers a bit of exclusivity.
Our favorite restaurant was the
Coral Restaurant, great seafood. Thanks to Pemal, Jonathan and Marcello and a very special thanks to Nitish, who made our stay unforgettable as F&B Manager.
Thanks also to Carine, who was always open to guests and suggestions for improvement. The sunset cruise for 2000 rupees is highly recommended, great atmosphere and a catamaran trip with drinks and a great crew is not something you do every day.

The range of water sports is outstanding.
The rooms were cleaned daily by lovely ladies & everything was provided. Here too, every guest can make a contribution to the environment by not having towels and bed linen changed daily.

Many thanks to the Lagoon Attitude and the family members for a wonderful stay

We had really done our research and we were happy to have chosen this hotel.

The good points.

The staff, especially the waiters and waitresses were fabulous. So kind and friendly, they are the stars of this hotel. It was great to be able to book the a la carte restaurants as many times as we wanted and my favourite was coral-the food was wonderful and all handmade with care. We ate at most of them twice but could have gone to coral every night if I could! Some of the buffet food was wonderful especially Indian night.
The location is lovely and they tell you not to walk anywhere as there isn’t anything close but actually there is a beautiful beach round the corner if you walk around the back of where the coral restaurant is. Locals go there and it’s stunning.
The island is incredibly safe and there is a lot to see. For any souvenirs the local supermarket is surprisingly ideal.
I loved that there was care for the environment but wish we’d known to bring our own bottles. The marine centre is great and all the trips offered are wonderful. The wildlife is amazing too.

The not so good points.

The rooms are tired, with stains on blinds and pillows alongside other little faults. My biggest disappointment was the drinks, very cheap wine that was largely unpalatable and I’m no connoisseur or wine buff but none of it was nice. There are sparkling whites but sometimes I got one I didn’t like at all and other times I got one that was okish at a push - so they definitely had more than one. The cocktails were not great either, I think the ingredients were not the best quality and lots of sugar syrup, be more suited to a student party crowd. Most disappointing was the awful old scratched plastic glasses they were using-no idea why they weren’t using glass. We’ve been to many 4 star all incs around the world and unfortunately the drinks here were a real let down in comparison. Other adult only hotels usually use glass at beach bars especially surprising in an environmentally friendly hotel.
Sometimes the cuts of meat weren’t the best but I know I’m fussy. Kot nou was good but we were put off booking it a second time as while we were still eating the waiter was asking us to review it and to mention him which I felt was a bit pushy, he even asked if we knew how to review it and I think if we’d said no he would have shown us! I can tell from other reviews that’s others have mentioned him so assume he asked them too!
Sometimes locals were having loud parties on the beach behind at the weekends so just let reception know if that’s the case. They were shut down quickly.

Hello there! We’re so glad to hear about your stay with us. It sounds like it was a mix of discoveries, flavors, and a touch of adventure. Our Family Members, especially the waiters and waitresses, will be thrilled to know they made your time with us special—they truly are the heartbeat of our space. Hearing about your dining experiences warmed our hearts. From savoring meals at our à la carte restaurants, especially Coral, to enjoying the vibrant flavors of Indian night at the buffet, it’s wonderful to know the team’s dedication to crafting each dish shone through. And how exciting that you stumbled upon the hidden beach nearby! It’s one of those little treasures that feels like a reward for the curious explorers among us. We’re also happy that our focus on sustainability resonated with you, and that you enjoyed your time at the marine center. The local wildlife adds such a unique charm to the experience here, doesn’t it? However, we’re sorry to hear there were a few things that didn’t quite meet your expectations. Whether it was the drinks, the room conditions, or occasional noise from beach parties, we appreciate your honest feedback—it helps us learn and grow. We hope that despite these hiccups, you’ve taken home some wonderful memories. It would be a pleasure to welcome you back for another stay in the future. Until then, take care and keep exploring! Warm regards, Rubens Maureemootoo General Manager

From the moment we arrived, our experience at this hotel was nothing short of amazing. The gala dinner was a standout – the oyster bar and fresh prawns were an absolute highlight. The atmosphere was festive and luxurious, setting the tone for the entire stay.

The hotel is beautifully designed, with tall palm trees lining both the beach and the property. It's a truly picturesque location, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the view. Speaking of relaxation, the hotel offers an abundance of spots to unwind. Whether by the beach or pool, there were always plenty of comfortable sunbeds available. The relax pool, in particular, is ideal for escaping the wind and enjoying some peaceful moments.

We also had an unforgettable experience on the sunset catamaran cruise. The staff created such a fun and vibrant atmosphere, and the music made it even more enjoyable. I would rate it a 10/10!

The garden room we initially booked had a view of the tennis court, which wasn’t ideal, but we opted to upgrade to a sea view room for an additional £230, and it was definitely worth it. The view was breathtaking and enhanced the overall experience.

The hotel staff really went above and beyond. Everywhere we looked, the property was spotless. Daily pool cleanings, mopping the floors, and even power-washing the patios showed their commitment to excellence. The staff also made sure we were well taken care of, with requests handled quickly and graciously. They truly wanted us to relax and enjoy our time.

A special touch was added to my husband’s birthday celebration. The hotel surprised us with a birthday song, a lovely table setting, and a delicious dessert. The attention to detail was touching. We were also taken care of by wonderful staff members like Surat, the sweet barman, and Ashil, our attentive waiter who crafted bespoke cocktails for us.

The Coral restaurant offered an excellent dining experience, thanks to the outstanding service from Nessan Pemal and Jonathan. Their service made each meal feel extra special. At brunch, we were serenaded by a guitarist, which was a lovely touch and created a relaxed, pleasant atmosphere. We also want to mention the service from Ram, who made sure we were always well looked after.

Overall, the staff at this hotel are incredibly friendly, polite, and caring. Their commitment to providing an exceptional experience was evident throughout our stay. If you’re looking for a place to relax, enjoy great food, and experience excellent service, this is the perfect destination.

What a fabulously perfect time we had at Lagoon Attitude! We can’t fault a thing from start to finish. On arrival we were given a cold towel and fresh drink which was exactly what we needed after almost 24 hours of travelling! It was super helpful as well to join the (daily) hotel tour to get your bearings, and we even met the manager at this time. The resort is beautiful and well-maintained and we loved the layout of everything. There are options for the vibe you want, local, laid back or lively.

The food was great everyday, including in the a la carte restaurants, we especially enjoyed Kot Nou, and the vibes were just so great! Plus, there are gluten free options! Gluten free bread on offer with every meal and freshly made! Our meal at Coral (a set menu) was fully adapted to suit my gluten-free husband. Every single staff member is so friendly, everyone says hello when they pass and we felt so welcome! The all inclusive drinks are all amazing and the selection is huge, we especially enjoyed the Baresf selection which are cocktails designed in house. Evening entertainment was incredible, we loved every night so much, it’s very relaxed and everyone seemed to be enjoying it!

The beach and sea are lovely, and there are so many activities to do on the resort including a glass bottom boat, snorkelling and pedalo hire, all of which are included. We also hugely recommend the sunset catamaran which was amazing value for money and a truly wonderful experience with just a small group of people (just be sure to book through the hotel for the best deal!). Also the activities team and very inclusive and friendly, we played many games of waterpolo, beach volleyball and loved aqua gym.

Our room was spacious, with a brilliantly comfy bed and a lovely shower. Our room attendant Ajay spoke to us everyday to make sure we had everything we needed, and left flowers on our bed everyday. We loved that you had to collect drinks etc from the on site ‘shop’ as part of the eco incentive, what a fab idea! The hotel’s green attitude is commendable and is a big reason we chose Lagoon Attitude.

The one thing we advise, avoid Big John on the beach selling day trips. He’s a lovely guy but the trips are not worth the money.

Overall we had the absolute best time and cannot stop talking about it with friends and family! We could go on for pages about how great it is here. Thank you Lagoon Attitude for such a perfect and memorable honeymoon, we couldn’t ask for more!

We stayed for 10 nights at the Lagoon Attitude at the beginning of September to celebrate our honeymoon and we are so pleased with our choice - the resort is a real slice of paradise. Upon arrival we were met with a welcome drink and cold towel which after 12 hours of travelling was welcome and the staff explained the resort to us. We could immediately start using the facilities and by early afternoon we were shown to our suite which was well appointed and had a bottle of champagne waiting for us which was a lovely touch.

The main restaurant had a great selection and a different theme most nights, we particularly enjoyed the Creole night and Chinese. We also ate at the three al-la-carte restaurants as well as the "street food" lunch area which was delicious and a great opportunity to try new and local Mauritian delicacies. Our favourite restaurant was Coral, where we were also spoilt with a special honeymoon dinner which made our experience memorable, and we also used the spa twice and had great service from the ladies there where we each had a full body massage and a facial.

The only negative element to feed back from our experience was on one Saturday night during our stay when the resort hosted a Mauritian Party night - it wasn't communicated to us at check-in and we had a note on the door on the day telling us it would be until 10.30pm, but the music went on until 11 and was really loud - we'd chosen the resort specifically as we're not party animals and it had a relaxing vibe and it took the shine off slightly - although we didn't let it ruin our otherwise overwhelmingly positive experience, and we would love to return one day in the future.

We spent our honeymoon at Lagoon Attitude and loved it! We had a room with sea view and half board which was quite enough - the additional fee to the all-inclusive would not have been worth it. The staff is very friendly and accommodating - the suitcases were brought to our room and every morning the bed was sweetly arranged (perhaps due to the tip). The restaurants have very delicious food with good service (lemongrass we did not test). Some service personnel are not so well understood in English and we often had misunderstandings about communication: often we felt that they did not know what we wanted. Our romantic dinner was unfortunately forgotten. The cost of the spa is justified and the treatments very upscale - we felt very comfortable. Padle tennis we also played: the courts look new, but could be cleaned more often. In general, the hotel has a number of Things to do to ensure you never get bored. The buffet food is delicious and there is a wide choice: German preferences should be taken back in time (sausage sparse selection and qualitatively incomparable to Europe. No real bread or rolls to cover). The selection of drinks is very large- alcoholic cocktails sometimes tasted like non-alcoholic. All in all, we would recommend the hotel to any couple!

We are just back from staying at Lagoon Attitude for our birthday celebration holiday. We had the best time here, the staff are all so friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is brilliant, right on the coast. The beach is small and the water shallow, but there is so many sunbeds around the beach that you can always get one without a problem.
The beach is well kept, and the seaweed that comes in on the wind was cleared away by hand by 2 very hard working people to make it more pleasant for the guests.
Our room was very well looked after by Begum, and she even wrote me a Happy Birthday in palm leaves on the bed!
Special mentions go to Reena and Devika in the Kot Nou/Taba J restaurants. They were always so kind and welcoming, even given us a private cooking session as we were not around for the one on the Friday morning.
The boys on the bars were also always so friendly, even remembering our orders. Special mentions to Joel, Taron, Pranav & Tushar & Aman (we called them the 2 brothers!!)
Sadly the Sunset cruise we had booked was cancelled due to the weather so we cannot comment on that. However, the included snorkel trip was very good, and we saw some very colourful fish and coral in clear water.
We found the best way to see the island was to hire a car and explore ourselves, but there are plenty of taxis sitting outside the hotel if you prefer this way, which seem to be affordable, although we did not use them ourselves.
The food is great in all of the restaurants, for us it was just perfect, so well done to all the chefs to produce such great food. Make sure to book your restaurants for the a la carte ones, as we heard some people couldn't get where they wanted when they wanted.
The hotel show round on our first day was helpful too, so we were shown where everything is.
There is live entertainment every night too, some night were very good, some were still good but bit slow for our taste.
Thank you to everyone we met, overall we had a fab holiday!

We were in Mauritius for the second time and we specifically chose this hotel of the Attitude Group in the north of the island. Our travel time was from December 10th to 25th, 2023. We booked a Couple Seafront Room with half board; which in our opinion is perfectly sufficient.

The reception was very friendly and after checking in the complex was briefly explained to us. The hotel has a sustainability program, which is evident and which we also support.

The room was very clean, spacious and had a very large balcony. The bed was super comfortable and the bathroom and toilet were also impeccable. The entire complex made a clean and well-kept impression. There were two fresh water counters where guests could always refill drinking water (with or without sparkling water).

The complex had several restaurants; the main restaurant, where breakfast was also served, was a buffet restaurant! With half board we were also able to use two other à la carte restaurants. The food was great and the Christmas buffet on the 24th was breathtaking.

All the staff were very friendly and helpful; it didn't seem fake at all. However, we would like to highlight Begum, our room attendant, she did an exceptionally good job, something we have rarely experienced. Thank you Begum!

The hotel was within walking distance (about 30 minutes in the direction of Calodyne) of a supermarket and had a bus stop on the main road (name of the station St. François) from which you can get to Grand Baie for 39 rupees (one way and per person). There are two shopping centers there where you can do some good shopping.

All in all, it was a wonderful and relaxing vacation and we can highly recommend the hotel.

We stayed as a couple in this beautiful adult only hotel in December 2024.

The hotel is a little isolated, located 300-400 meters from the main road we are quiet, no traffic noise, you can hear only the wind and birds singing. There is no shopping or entertainment nearby but Cap unhappy, Peyrebere, Grand Bay, and Mont Choisy are not far, there is moreover 50 meters on the right when arriving on the main road a bus stop where you will never wait very long before a bus, a collective taxi, taxi, or "brown" taxi stop to take you to your destination.

The room was spacious, comfortable, nicely decorated, and well located, a little away from the amphitheatre and the main lively pool, but close to the restaurant "coral" and its two pools including one protected from the wind and cocooning atmosphere (our favorite).
The sea view from the room was just amazing.

The hotel is nestled in a beautiful tropical garden very well maintained, many birds, geckos have taken up residence and will enhance your stay. There are even a few dogs lounging on the beach (not noisy or boring), and at least two cats including 1 who likes to cuddle and treats during breakfast on the terrace.

The food is excellent, the breakfast is amazing, sweet, salty, eggs declined in every way possible on request, and lots of fruit prepared continuously, if not all are present at the time you pass, do not hesitate to ask for them.
The evening buffet is excellent, especially on Wednesday evening for the gala evening, and very varied, in 9 days we never had the same dishes.
The 3 evening restaurants, Kot'nou, lemongrass, and Coral are top, especially the latest seafood oriented which is gastronomic level both in terms of food, service and decoration.

The staff was very caring and very nice (special mention to Natalie in the service of beach towels, and to Cloé, Naati, Reena, Divia, Saad, and Asraf on the catering side to name a few).

The only negative is the beach of the hotel. There are enough sunbeds and umbrellas for those who like to lounge in the sun, but it is artificial, quite small, not pleasant for swimming (pieces of coral, rocks), exposed to east winds the water is a little cloudy and not azure blue as one might hope.
But we knew it before we went, and it prompted us to leave the hotel to discover the beautiful white sandy beaches, shaded with crystal clear water and incredible shades of blue that find it on this island. Among those in the north, our favorite is Mont Choisy.

We found in this hotel everything we hoped for and even beyond.

Thank you for your professionalism and hospitality.

Eric and Magic.
