We spent one week at Utopia Beach resort. All the staff is really friendly and extremely good at providing a proper service. All managers of the different areas are attentive and react quickly at any request. Only one grey spot is the Wi-Fi, it is still quite weak, price wise it is a bit expensive considering that it is not working properly, and most of the hotels give it for free. I recommend the resort for all the services provided. We booked at the international section although as Italians we could have booked via Vera Club, but we do not like what the clubs in general provide (animation/baby club). The reef is right at your steps once you put your feet into the cristal clear water, with no need to walk on any bridge, this allows you to start swimming immediately. February is still a cold month, there is always wind (which is good when it is warmer) but in February still chilly.
On a side note, not related to the resort, but quite important for the experience in general, the airport procedures on the way in are quite easy, remember to spot the place where to buy the visa once landed. On the way out, get to the airport 3 hours before departure as the security procedures are awfully organized and it is stressful/frustrating indeed. You will line up for ever, they don't care if you are traveling with a baby and the only way to skip the line is paying a fortune (40€ p/p!). They really need to improve the service and the resorts should push strongly as to bring Marsa Alan's Airport to get to better standards.

Been here for the second time in a few months! The great location and reef, is a big bonus for this Hotel. The staff is simply amazing and is always there for your needs!
Even during COVID-19 crisis, its a safe place to travel to and they make sure that you can keep a safe distance from others at all times. There is desinfection spray on every table, when you will eat lunch or dinner.
All in all: great place to just relax for a week and enjoy the peace and calm.

First time in Egypt and first time at the Utopia Hotel. A huge hotel that (both day and night looks wonderful) has many amenities. For a symbolic tenner and Wedel chocolate, we got a room at the top with a view of both the pool and the sea.
Rooms clean and cleaned every day. I would like to share my opinion about the Utopia Beach Hotel in Marsa Alam. I was with my wife a week and I can say that it was really wonderful. The food was very varied. Apart from the standard dishes, there was something new every day. Delicious fish Beef a great bow. The beach - from our room to the beach, the path led through a beautiful and well-kept garden. The beach is spacious, plenty of sunbeds. At the beginning of your stay, you will receive a permanent place, a change of beach towels daily on the beach. On one side of the beach more stones, on the other side sand. I prefer water shoes. Some fish can be seen without having to snorkel (so great even for non-swimmers). If you snorkel, of course you see more fish and coral. A beautiful hotel with a spacious and well maintained garden and direct access to the beach. There are plenty of sunbeds available on the beach and by the pool. The hotel has a large diving centre and a great coral reef which can be reached directly from the beach. We will come again.
Rooms Standard rooms are spacious and functional but a little outdated. Depending on the location of the room there is a higher noise level due to the aggregate of the neighbouring hotel.
Service Guest relation manager Ali is always on site and takes care of the guests in a very friendly manner in several languages. The staff at reception, restaurants, bars, cleaning, towel and beach service are all friendly and helpful.
Gastronomy The food selection is ok, but there could be a bigger variety of fruit and vegetables. The waiters and cooks are very friendly.
Sports & Entertainment The animation team is great. In a very friendly and non-intrusive manner they offer a varied daily programme in several languages. Food: at the buffet in Sultana Restaurant, there are fruits and vegetables. Salads always roughly the same and already mixed and typical of the country, not international, which would actually be cool to make the offer even more attractive. The rest of the food could also be a bit more varied. But there are the oriental corners where always very delicious or sometimes a rice in a differently prepared form is. Otherwise, there is also pizza and pasta or fish freshly prepared outside on the terrace. In the morning there are simple omelets and pancakes on the Tetrasse, but thumbs up, so you stand out. It is a pity that the "Al Amira" restaurant can only be visited for an extra charge of 20 euros, this worsens the chances of competing with other 4-stars in e.g. one in Hurghada- "The Grand Resort", where you can dine in 7 restaurants on the complex at no extra charge.
Room/rest: Don't let yourself be quartered in room 4048, there is currently a mega fat construction site just out the door, which is booming loud all day. Family holiday at the end of August. Very high temperatures in this period, very beautiful and well-maintained location, strategic position for the coral reef within easy diving distance, large and renovated rooms, daily cleaning and linen change, beautiful swimming pools, abundant and varied buffet food that satisfies everyone.
