Just returned from a 2 week vacation with the family staying here at PickAlbatros Sea World Marsa Alam and had a great holiday. What a wonderful place. We do not have one single negative thing to say about this resort. Food was excellent, The complex was spotlessly clean. Room was spacious and cleaned daily. But the biggest compliment has to go to the staff who go above and beyond in their job to make you comfortable and happy. They work so so hard and always very pleasant, they do everything with a smile and not one staff member we came into contact with, was not courteous or helpful. Considering the heat the hours and probably annoying guests their professionalism is outstanding. So I would like to say a big thank you to a few who made our family holiday even better and they are. Ahmed Syed, who was our pool waiter. To serve in 35 degree heat from 10am to sunset then off to do another shift in restaurant and still be happy and polite is a credit to your hotel. Mohamed Shabaan, Our room attendant. Excellent service. Our room spotless everyday. I was not too well one day and slept in, and he thought he was letting us down. There commitment is unbelievable and a credit Mohamed Gambling, Pool and towel attendant Always making sure we was good. Helping all guests with beds towels and cleanliness of the pool inside and out. Assisting with issues and making children smile. Credit to the hotel. Ahmed Mahmud, lifeguard/pool assistant Very observant when it comes to guests safety and making sure pool area stayed safe and clean. Very pleasant and happy to assist with all issues. Credit to your company. Mohamuld Mohamed (Hopefully thats how you spell his first name) I think he was a manager and was always in the Zumkaiser for breakfast. Always very pleasant and courteous, always asking how we was and happy everyday. Credit to your company The Aquapark was fantastic very very clean and safe. My 4 year old went to kids club and disco everyday and the young man (very tall) who manages the kids club was brilliant And Christina too was brilliant with the children and disco. It’s a shame I couldn’t take everyone name but pasta chef at Red Sky was great Crepe chef at Red Sky always happy to find me lime for my crepe Pasta chef in Saprono very pleasant. Well done Pick Albatross you have certainly got it right at Marsa Alam. We had a great time and will certainly visit one of your resorts again.

We arrived late at night from the UK and checked in really quickly and was shown the the the restaurant for a late dinner. There are many restaurants but they are pretty much serving the same food in all and every day was pretty much the same and repetitive. Staff always happy and busy and never waiting long for a drink. The pools are great and got up around 8 to 9am and always managed to get sunbeds with shade. there are signs saying no reservation of sunbeds but there is an updated note in the room information that says from 7am you can reserve. The water park is small but perfect for kids and was never busy. waiters running back and forth getting drinks all day and always had a smile and chat. evening entertainment was OK but was centered around the main nationality of German or Polish as they are the majority, it didnt stop us from having fun though. we did snorkeling off the beach and the water was crystal clear and can see lots of fish. our room was 3119 and that had a sea/pool view and also had its own pool out the back which no one used apart from the people staying in that block but was pretty much empty all day. if you get the chance, visit the dive shop and partake in a scuba excursion, the water was perfect, we did a dive at Il Khaf (10 mins down the road) this was beach entry and was excellent for a first dive. we cannot fault any member of staff, they all worked hard and always had time to smile and chat. we went on an excursion to Luxor and left at 5am and the guy on reception was still there when we got back at 11pm. oh and got good WIFI in all parts of the resort, including the beach. i would recommend the hotel and would go back again but in the winter months when its a little cooler

In general we really enjoyed our trip but there was one disadvantage. The staff at the reception was very rude, they were defienietly waiting for money. They never smiled and looked eternally tired. Despite entraitment team, waitres and the staff who cleaned the rooms. Animators have always tried to make our stay at the hotel more pleasant (especially Omar, special greetings for him). The waiters were always smiling, friendly and brought orders on time (special greetings here for Ayman). The man who was cleaning our room was wery friendly. Pools are awesome and very big. The main advantage of the hotel is its size. It’s very big so there are no crowds and you can just relax in peace. Food was very tasty and different. I will defienietly recommend this hotel for other people and I want to come back.

On the plus side: 1. Cleanliness, orderliness, space of the area, large rooms and bathrooms. 2. Lots of pools, sunbeds on the beach, and no crowds. 3. You can swim on the huge lagoon. 4. Food rather good (4 restaurants plus a beach bar, often the same meals in different places), very good drinks. 5. My minibar is refilled regularly, but friends in other room not so. 6. Some waiters try to be nice and jesters. 7. There is no special treatment for Germans, which is common in other hotels, on group trips, during animations, games, etc. - English is spoken. 8. Tips can be given, but there is no pressure to do so. 9. I especially recommend a trip to Utopia island, in the program water sports, snorkelling in 3 very nice places. 10. The whole charm of the hotel is revealed in the evening, at night - fabulous lighting. On the downside: 1. Throughout the whole summer I wasn't bitten so many times by mosquitoes as in the hotel room at night for a one week, they buzz at night over the ear and wake me up (probably they are hatching in the sewage system and they fly in through the shower grate, so close the bathroom) I killed a dozen and there were more, and there were a few bumps also on the bed. 2. Too few staff member, long waiting for a drink (sometimes made a double order to not wait again), sometimes they pretend that they can't see you. 3. The reef from the beach practically died and hundreds of sea urchins, the worst lagoon I've ever seen. 4. The reef around the pier was only allowed to flow in the late afternoons, from the morning to the afternoon a red flag was hanged (there are only two flags green or red), where in Egypt 2 months earlier, under these conditions in another hotel 15min from Albatrosa was already yellow, swimming allowed only around the pier - and you won't see too many colors at this time. You can't swim between the piers (the one on the left belongs to another hotel). 5. Aquapark is rather a playground with small slides and 2 pools for several families or small children. 6. Not enough sunbeds by the pools, it is not allowed to take up seats by leaving towel on it, but a lot of people do it anyway - they should be more consistent and collect towels left at the morning or at lunchtime. 7. Lack of a bar with drinks on the beach, where you could go for pizzas, drinks, ice cream, etc., the waiters ran to the restaurant, and that's a bit of a way from some sunbeds. 8. There are rooms with access to the terrace from the back and a small table by the road with a view on the wall, because of this I did not spend a moment there. I would not recommend it to friends for money, I would never go there again.
