The resort as a whole looks amazing. It is very well maintained by the gardeners, the beach is very large and sandy, the water is clear. There are several pools where you can sit by if you don’t want to be on the beach.
The entertainment team is absolutely amazing , they are all friendly and make sure to organise lots of activities so that everyone can be involved in something.
The rooms are cleaned every day and in very good condition.
Now onto the negative things which is why I couldn’t give 5 stars for this resort. The food when we went was actually below average. There was not enough variety and the taste was quite bad. It was difficult to find something to eat and enjoy. Another negative thing were the drinks which were not great, low quality juices and alcohol used and cocktails cost extra $3 per one and honestly I doubt they would be good anyway. Also there is no WiFi throughout, unless you are at reception (pretty much unusable speeds, can just send some messages using it and that’s it). The paid WiFi prices are ridiculous (from what I remember it was €5 for 30 mins), so quite awful that a resort trying to be 5stars doesn’t have free WiFi and chooses to charge customers these prices that are quite ridiculous for Egypt, you aren’t in the Bahamas you know, get a grip.
Lastly, the staff from the Spa can be quite pushy with wanting to sign you up for their services. Which again are super overpriced (90 euros per one hour session) , again you are in Egypt, get a grip of your prices. I only went to the spa once because I needed a man haircut really bad and my girlfriend needed a manicure, we paid 30 euros both and my haircut was really below average and her nails the same. The price in their book for a male haircut was €25, I pay less than this for my haircut in the UK, again , ridiculous.
But overall we put the negatives to the side and the overall experience was pleasant for us. I just wanted to highlight the negatives also so that people reading these reviews know what they’re in for and that the resort can make amends if they wish to.

We have just returned from the Caribbean world after staying for the week after a Nile cruise and loved every minute. The staff are excellent and strive to make your stay as good as possible, everyone welcomes you with a friendly smile, the gardeners work really hard to keep the garden immaculate, the cleaning staff never stop cleaning and the restaurant staff work tirelessly, replenishing food, serving drinks and clearing tables. Reception staff were always helpful and cheerful. The activity staff are a lovely group and encourage you to join in but don’t push it if you don’t want to. One of our party was unwell, the staff organised food to take to the room and made special drinks to help ease their cough. The food was varied and well cooked, we tried all but two eateries and all were good, we favoured the beach bar for lunch where pizzas and kebabs were served. The rooms are large and cleaned daily with clean towels and replenished toiletries, everything worked well, there are two English channels on the tv which was good. The beach is long, we walked the length most days and clocked up about 10000 steps, there are plenty of sun beds on the beach and also round the pools. The only complaint is there is no WiFi, it says free WiFi in reception but this is very hit and miss, it is also very expensive to buy their WiFi, 45 euros for 10 days, I had an eSIM on my phone so was able to access data but I do feel there should be free wifi in all areas, having said that I would defiantly return and would recommend this hotel.

A lot to digest? Read an AI-generated summary of recent traveler reviews.
We stayed for a week in a superior triple room with pool view: very spacious and functional, impeccable cleaning, water replenished every day. Fridge, safe, furnished balcony…
Restaurants: we only tested the buffet and the snack (nothing exceptional, very repetitive and dishes that are often very salty, but there is plenty of choice). Extremely noisy buffet room.
Swimming pools: very beautiful and well maintained, supervised.
Beach: supervised, magnificent, spacious, clean, plenty of deckchairs and parasols. Negative point: too much canvassing for the sale of excursions, massages, etc. (you can hang a red ribbon on the parasol indicating that you do not wish to be contacted / to ask at the towel stand).
Exteriors/gardens: clean, very pretty, extremely well arranged and maintained.
Bars: the all-inclusive alcoholic cocktails are clearly of poor quality. Prefer the paid ones (€3) which are much better!
Reception: available at any time.
Delighted with this hotel, very pretty structure suitable for families.
Facilitators: pleasant and available.
A big hiccup to report: our excursion to Cairo by plane (planned for months via our agency from France) was canceled the same day (meeting at reception at 4 a.m. for flight at 5:30 a.m.). The taxi did not arrive. was not awake due to the time change that night!!!! Just shameful and unacceptable! Fortunately, the FTI representative managed, at the last minute, to find us 3 seats on the next day's flight just before our return to France. A word of advice: favor the start of the stay for excursions in case of a hiccup 😏
I recommend this hotel.

We didn’t expect that much wind in December. In the evenings, a long-sleeve jacket is a must. It gets very cold . We come to the hotel 5* hotel holiday turkey compared to 3 4*. You have to go with it on purpose. But it typically takes 10 minutes to get from a huge location. He came very polite almost every day asking about your hotel experience and how it could be improved. I hope your advice works! And in the kitchen, expectations aren’t too high to make you happy. I think they do the best they can, with a grill and a remote east corner every evening. The desserts are the same pattern as the tested fruit. :/ but it wasn’t bad, we didn’t go hungry. Unfortunately, the server in the lounge doesn’t welcome the table and their speed in collecting. They cried like they didn 't want anyone to see it and they said : / The hotel has a few big pools , but there 's one heated pool , and it says 29 to 30 degrees , but it feels like the colder pool water . The sea is perfect even in this season, cold without waves but can be entered.. don't think about finding quality cocktails and drinks in bars.. if you get coke, be sure to take zero , they give it from the normal coke machine and it looks like it's useless . Cleaning tubs . Our room was cleaned from corner to corner. But because there’s no liquid soap, everyone washes hands with the same floor soap in the room:/ neither the beach nor the pool had any trouble, but of course it’s off-season. Overall, it’s a price-performance hotel. There’s no alisveris to do in the quiet surroundings, and the in-house is expensive. It’s helpful to go ready.

The hotel lobby had a lovely inviting scent and the beach resort was clean overall. We traveled as a group of 21 guests and allocated roomed in building 11. The holiday experience was let down by initially a weak flushing toilet followed by no water at all at building 11. I was informed that they were looking into the pipes and water would soon come back on as I was using the shower mid way. The water was turned back on after 30 mins but was brown water. The following day there was no water to the building as others in the group had no access to water. The bathroom sink, toilet and shower water was not available in any of the rooms. The operator informed me the water would be unavailable from 9am to 11pm which was totally unacceptable and the solution would be to use the wash facilities located at the gym. I did not accept this and this should not be offered to guests as a solution to the matter. Staff were not proactive in offering alternative rooms for us until we complained at reception. The hotel seems to give preference to guests coming from European countries that will spend and tip in Euros. All the hotel activities and spa facilities are promoted in Euro currency.

I don't know where to start...choosing a hotel that has all the attributes is challenging. Caribbean World Resort Soma Bay surpassed everything. Great food, a wonderful resort, a rich animation program, a beautiful beach...just like in paradise. I was traveling with an 11-month-old baby, so I was worried that he would have the same comfort as at home. We got a room on the first floor, so I didn't have to drag the stroller up the stairs every day to even get to the room. I would have one complaint, and that is that the shower hose is not very long, for this reason it was more difficult for me to bathe my son. The rooms were cleaned every day, we also received clean towels and 2 large bottles of bottled water. Baby cot was free. The food was perfect...a lot of choice, whatever you had was delicious. The hotel also offers a wide selection of activities...gym, disco and mini disco, live music every evening, then a comprehensive animation program, so there will be no shortage of boredom. Another plus is the beautiful beach, where there are plenty of sunbeds, so there is somewhere to lie down. There is also a beach bar by the beach, where they serve a small breakfast, lunch, snacks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Overall, I rate the experience with this resort very positively, and we plan to return next year.

A very large, very well-maintained and spacious complex. It is very well laid out, so that you don't notice how many guests are there. Excellent service, lots of activities on offer, but also enough quiet areas. We were aware of that. However, a variety of excursions can be booked. If you are looking for a beach holiday, you have come to the right place. The hotel is located on a gently sloping sandy beach, bathing shoes are not necessary. Behind the buoys is the seagrass meadow, on the right a small mini reef, relaxed snorkeling with children is possible. The rooms were very large and spacious, the beds very good, coffee/tea maker, fresh water bottles every day, very thorough cleaning, enough storage space, hygiene products are also replenished. Balcony with seating and table, family room big enough so that there was also room for a baby bed and an additional (comfortable) folding bed for the 10-year-old without restricting freedom of movement. The gastronomy was varied, many tastes were covered. What we ate tasted very good. The animation and kids club offer a wide range of entertainment options, and if you're looking for peace and quiet, just take a sun lounger in the left area of the beach (towards the Chill Out Bar). One of the pools is heated in winter. The service is excellent. All employees work very hard to make the guest's stay as pleasant as possible. Very child-friendly staff. Many thanks to Mahmoud from guest relations, always a ray of sunshine, always in a good mood and very helpful.

Hotel very well located, good welcome, the staff is pleasant and smiling. Very beautiful beach, well maintained every hour by the staff, magnificent garden also maintained by the smiling and pleasant gardeners as well. Concerning the entertainment, the entertainers go out of their way to liven up the days and their evenings, it must be admitted, good atmosphere. A manager who listens to the customer, following some small inconveniences. Spacious room with garden view on the ground floor. Arabian restaurant manager very friendly and welcoming and pleasant pizzeria the food is good and the welcome is good. Main restaurant at the entrance a little shiny because it is in a circle and therefore it resonates. Tortuga restaurant the food is good but basic music a little too loud but the staff is very friendly and pleasant and welcoming they also go out of their way to ensure that the customer is satisfied well done to the manager. For wifi, sometimes there are small difficulties connecting but I recommend this very pleasant hotel with a superb view of the bay of Soma Bay. The smiling and welcoming staff places your towel on the deckchairs and searches for deckchairs that suit you. I recommend the diving club at the end of the beach on the right Scubaword super professional club. Wish you an excellent vacation.

The Caribbean World Resort is a lovely hotel which is clearly clean and well maintained. The hotel resort itself is just too large and it seems the hotel has lost its identity as a resort. The general feel of the place is just absolute chaos, the staff are too overworked and busy to be able to interact with the guests. You are made to feel like you cannot leave the hotel resort unless you want to get scammed into paying extortionate taxi fees. My partner who struggles with walking was made to walk 20 minutes to the external gate due to reception not authorising our private excursion bus through. Reception told us to either walk or pay 5 euros for a taxi to take us to the gate at the top of the resort!!
If you are coming to Egypt to do excursions and leave your hotel resort then this hotel is not for you.... I would recommend booking a hotel in main hurghada or sharm el sheikh. If you are coming to Egypt to stay in the resort and don't mind the fact that you are paying for a 5 star hotel but getting 3 star service then this hotel is for you.
Drinks service at this hotel is non existent you will go to the bars yourself including in the main restaurant. You could be stood at the bar and then the bartender would disappear to take orders and make drinks for the people that were tippers. Drinks are mainly served in hot glasses due to the demand on glasses or plastic glasses when the glasses have run out. You can visibly see the staff swilling the glasses out with tap water and then using them to serve guests. If you like wine then don't bother its awful. We did like the coffee machines dotted around the resort.
Housekeeping team and gardener's were fantastic and a credit to this hotel the hotel was always immaculate.
Entertainment team - the worst I've seen in any hotel was a bonus when they had a professional show on.
Toilets around the resort are very limited so long walks from wherever you are to find a toilet is a problem. This could be solved by building some toilets near the Jamaica Bar and on the massive space near the Alladin bar & movenpick ice cream stand.
Food was always luke warm and extremely repetitive I wouldn't bother booking the Italian or the French restaurant because the food was awful we ended up going into the main buffet restaurant afterwards. Plates in the main restaurant were dirty at times.
I would urge the management to have more of a presence around the resort, why was I stood in front of them whilst they are on mobile phones? Why did it then still take them up to 2 minutes to then serve me? Why are the staff prioritising tippers?
The nightclub - just scrap this! It's a restaurant that plays music to 3 people! Why not have the nightclub in the Italian restaurant which isn't used during the next day? You could have disco lights etc and this would be a better location being nearer to the other main bars would also generate more money for the hotel as people would come here when the all inclusive drinks finish.
Overall I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone and after coming to Egypt a few times it is unlikely I would come again

Free wifi is only in reception and is ok for messaging but can be really slow depending on how many people are there.
You can buy faster access for other things but again really only works around the reception area.
The 24hour ticket is for 24 hours of use not time from activation
About snorkeling, Yes, of course. The water is crystal clear, especially in the morning, and lots of fish can be seen. There aren't that many corals.
In the hotel area there is a lot of stores for sneakers, clothing, Arabic items, souvenirs, food, drink, everything... etc.
There are more places to choose from in the Soma Bay area.
