We went for one week in the resort and we were not expected that. People there are lovely, I have never seen something lake that and I’m working in hospitality.
The room are fully furnished, the buffet in the restaurants for breakfast lunch and dinner are nice and waiters and chef are smiling and attentive to what ever we need !
You can find a huge swimming pool, private beach with a lovely animation team ! Thanks to Fiiro and his team for all the activities they did on the beach et in the resort.
We had the chance to met the guest relation Moataz who is speaking French ! He was running everyday in the resort to speak with the guest and ask if everything was going well. We had lovely holidays in family and we definitely have to come back !

Arriving late evening just in time for dinner we were not happy with the room as it was not clean with a smell coming from the bathroom not helped as the extractor fan was not working. We went to reception the next morning and they agreed to move us so disruption on our first full day. after a bad start the rest of the week was very good, the staff except for the Arabic restaurant were absolutely great as well as the food and drinks. WiFi is poor only available free in the reception area, if you want WiFi in the rest of the complex you have to pay 21 euro's and its not that brilliant when are these hotels going to follow Europe and give free WiFi throughout the Hotel, in the UK staying at a small B & B you get WiFi. Would i go back yes if free WiFi, rooms upgraded and extractors working in bathrooms.

What a beautiful hotel! From our pick up by Meeting Point at the airport to leaving for our return flight everything went like clockwork. esRooms were huge with huge comfortable beds and beautiful bedlinen comfy chairs large well equipped bathrooms and patio doors onto terraces with chairs and table.
Several excellent dining options including buffet, Italian and oriental BBQ plus more not included in the all inclusive package.

Swimming pool was very large and there was a separate children’s pool away from n m sin pool. Also lovely sandy beach with ample sun beds and close access to lunchtime buffet restaurant and pizzeria. Bar service was available on the beach as well as in various bars scattered trough the grounds and a more formal bar next to reception.

Food was excellent with more than ample choices at every meal in the buffet restaurants and smaller selection of dishes I the more formal waiter service Italian restaurant. The oriental bbq served tasty freshly cooked food every evening. Throughout our holiday neither my friend or myself had any tummy problems.

The grounds are beautiful with seats scattered around, a selection of shops beauty salons etc and excellent facilities for children

First of all I have to tell you that you must take care of beach towels and count them when you arrive! Else they are able to keep the bus when you leave if one is missing!
In the resort everything is dangerous and clearly not done for regular European travellers!
Social distanciation, cleanliness are totally absent and you will be sick for sure during your stay because of lack of that!
Rooms are dirty full of dust with mouse defections behind the fridge..
Daily cleaning is poor and starts at 7 in the morning with noise around your room.
Worst are: food, drinks and service in the restaurant where the quality is at lowest level we have ever seen.
Recipes are tasteless and drinks are just awful! I give you précisions that we are use to travel in North Africa 4 stars hotels but this one is close to 1 star service and quality!
Only one guy at the guest relation does really good job, thanks again !
It’s full of Ukrainian people who have really few consideration for other people and do not respect basic rules of behaviour..
The resort is also far away from being eco friendly with single use carton glasses and polystyrene non recycle plate: It’s a shame!!
Pipes at the right side of the beach lead wastes to the sea.. 😐
To conclude, the floor in the hotel is most of the time broken and you can find electric wires without any safety!
The only think that’s the hotel is able to handle is the opening hours of the Aqua parc 11h 57 you are screamed to leave the water, ans at the snacking 13/57 you have to wait till 14 to get bad taste pizza and hot dog!
With family or friends clearly avoid to travel to the Caribbean resort.
Diving club where I passed my advanced open water level is also a cash machine.. when struggling you at the beach they are in a good mood, but once you paid you are like transparent and what they only want from you is more money for options like diving computer.
Captains of boat ans staff are throwing cigarettes in the sea once finished!!
They are also not aware that when they ask you to come at 8/45 in the morning to go for diving and that the boat finally leave at 10 you are a bit unsatisfied of having wasted 1h15 whereas your kids and wife are waiting for you!
They also mix snorkelling divers and real divers so boats are full and you hardly have the possibility to get well prepared for diving as you have kids and other snorkel people running around..

Dear Nancy, I would like to thank you for choosing to spent your vacation with us here in Caribbean soma bay, i will not go through your detailed review, as it is clear that the review is your personal feed back, which is not the view of all the rest of our guests, i am only clearing the issue of your point that we are dumping the sewage in the sea through the pipes at the far end of the un used beach front, in fact these pipes are the in take of the sea salt water, that we do use for producing our water used all over the hotel, as we do have a sea water desalination plant, all the sewage water resulted from the hotel usage is treated and tested in our sewage treatment station and then used for the plantation all over the resort, again this water is daily tested to be sure that it meats the required measures of both the Egyptian ministry of health and the European union standards. I stayed here for a couple of days in mid dec and loved it. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff were all very nice and helpful. The food was excellent and plentiful. Lots of options to choose from. The Oriental BBQ restaurant was my favorite. The Italian restaurant was very good, too. There are separate beach sections for families and adults. You can go out on an excursion to snorkel. Snorkeling in the Red Sea was beautiful! I didn’t get the red flag to avoid being disturbed. I didn’t think I needed it and the red flag does not protect you from staff on site asking you about booking spa services or excursions. I was not bothered by staff trying to promote the resort services, but some of my friends were. I think the staff need to be trained a bit better to know when to leave people alone who just want to relax on the beach undisturbed. It does get tiring to have staff come to your beach chair every 10-15 minutes asking or talking about resort services. After a while it feels like an invasion of personal space even to the friendliest and patient of people. Women who may be sitting alone on the beach also don’t like to always be asked if they have a boyfriend or have children and if they are available when they say they are single. This may be a cultural thing, but it can feel also invasive to people who don’t like to discuss personal subjects with strangers while they are trying to relax on vacation.
I would highly recommend staying in this resort. It is a very relaxing place to unwind, but just like when you’re visiting the pyramids or other popular tourist sites, you have to learn to grow another layer of skin if you haven’t already grown one from where you come from to be patient and friendly when more people than you imagined come up to you to chat, assume, promote,ask.

We have been in this great resort for last 2 weeks, it is our second time in Egypt (for the first time we have been 16 years ago in hurghada, hotel sea gull)
Coral reefs are just 20 meters from your sunbed, big turtles are swimming on 30 meters from the coast and you can snorkel with them but you need do be on the beach around 7am, beach is big and Sandy with really nice entrance, hotel beach is more then wide and only suggestion i would make is to move markers in the water a bit further than they are now
Hotel is not the newest one but it is well maintained, a lot of staff is all the time cleaning beach, cutting grass, watering plants.... Everyone is really giving it's best to make your holiday as good as possible. Food is ok, and you could always find something you like to eat, in front of the restaurant in the evening on open grill various food is prepared and I would say that they are trying to adopt even local food to the taste of European guests. Room was always perfectly cleaned, towels changed, beds always fixed on a new and creative way, by making different shapes with towels, pillows....
Aqua park is not big but for our kids ( 9 and 11 years old) it was enought, although it could be bigger.
Food on the beach was tasty, usually burgers and pizza, freshly made and baked on the spot.
Coffee on the beach is real nescaffe, made in nescaffe machines.
Usually there has been more then enough free sunbeds on the beach even if you come a bit later on the beach you can find your spot in second or third row (do not be surprised to find it also in first row)
GM of the hotel is more or less all the time in the hotel supervising and it is quite open to help ( for the finale of women basketball European championship it took him 5 minutes to organize a chanel with live game in all the rooms in the hotel)
A guests hospitality is really that, guy responsible for it really gives his best to make the best of your holiday.
Program in the evening is also good, especially for the kids who were enjoying it every evening, and during day you have joga, aquabic, beach volleyball, kids Klub etc
General impression is that all the people working in the hotel are giving their best to make your holiday as good as possible and not only for the tips, my impression is that they want you to return to this resort in next years.
Me and my family will be returning guests for sure

This hotel is very good value for money, located in Soma Bay, with the most beatuful beach in Hurgada region.

Rooms are spacious with a nice view on garden and also very clean. Towels and sheets were changed on a daily basis.

Very hostile and pleasant service, of course with a small tip.

There is a variety of food, both local and international dishes, and local beverages is good quality, so there is no need for extra charged imported drinks.

Apart from the most beautiful beach in the whole Hurghada, this is one of the largest and most beautiful resorts. The ambiance is ideal for a holiday, and the facilities that the hotel offers make your day more than full. However, the most valuable thing the hotel has is its very friendly staff.

Since I was very afraid of traveling because of the coronavirus, I must say that this hotel lived up to my expectations in that sense as well.

Considering covid circumstances, everything was excellent. F&B staff managed to adapt quickly to new way of working. Although the hotel activities were in limited phase, and a fact that not all a la carte restaurants were opened, everything functional was great.
Area for improvement is definitely the reservation of sunbeds at the beach, meaning, if you wish for the first row you must get up at 4:45. This can be fixed by priorities, price paid, size of family, duration of stay, repeated loyal guests....and reserve sunbeds by those filters,by putting room number on a table.

I would like to emphasize that some of animators had intentions to harrass some of young female guests, which were polite and didn’t want to make a scene.
When I heard from other hotel staff telling me information that he was talking that they are in relationship, and saw the reaction of that specific girl being stressed about that fact, I decided to interfere and spend more time with them in order to avoid him to aproach any more. My suggestion is to severe monitor their behavior at all times, especially free time. that can do damage to a very good impression and image of your great hotel.
Beach worker Diaa is one of the examples of how tha staff should behave. Good job.

Please pay attention who you outsource the shops, it can also ruin image of the hotel (i know that it is not your responsibility, but it needs to be, because not everyone knows that and relates it to the hotel) . example: in the pharmacy I paid a box of band aid (commercial value 2.5$) 29$. I'm fine to pay more, but you'll agree it's a rip off.

We stayed there for 2 weeks in November (booked through Thomas Cook, acquired by Chinese company) in Superior Room With Balcony Pool View which wasn't too bad, spacious with working AC but separate beds which was inconvenient for a couple. Cleaning every day which is a bit unnecessary in my view (environmental concern) so we only requested it 3 time a week. However, on a few occasions we received towels that were torn and very worn out...

The hotel looks a little bit tired (broken tiles, unfinished constructions, issues with electronic door keys not working) but absolutely fantastic gardens throughout the hotel and very nice sandy beach with coral reef with sea life and turtles (if you go snorkelling beyond buoys and ignore lifeguards whistling at you lol). Sunbeds are in average condition and are limited with people reserving them overnight despite hotel's promise.

There is a sup, kite and windsurfing rental/school right by the hotel which was Ok if you're learning but not good if you're experienced. A lot of other activities nearby like diving, safari and parachute tow in.

There are few restaurants and one by the beach which was convenient for breakfast but much less choice than main restaurant.
The food was ok...ish. But I'm not picky and prefer simple food so was good for me. We've booked Italian restaurant (not impressed) and Oriental with nice BBQ on your table. Ok to try once. Check out chefs outside the main restaurant they really try their best. I'd recommend to take some medicines in case if (or when) you get stomach issues which is common in Egypt or maybe just this hotel?

Huge thumbs up to Animation Team who are working tirelessly every day to keep you fit and entertained. Different shows every night including comedy (guests are involved), belly dancing etc which I normally avoid but in this hotel it was on good level especially after few drinks.

Not hotel related but something that may spoil your holiday is horrible Hurghada airport! The most stressful, frustrating and even humiliating experience I've ever had. Very similar to Turkey but much worse. Be prepared to be treated like a criminal, have multiple unnecessary searches (some are very harsh), documents check on every corner and when you thinks that nightmare is over they will check and open your baggage in front of other people for no reason. The worst was return journey with drug tests and massive delays (hours of queuing) due to computer or internet issues... Don't forget to take a pen to fill in a lot of stupid last century style paperwork.

In overall I have had a great holiday.

What is Wi-Fi like?

Free wifi is only in reception and is ok for messaging but can be really slow depending on how many people are there. You can buy faster access for other things but again really only works around the reception area. The 24hour ticket is for 24 hours of use not time from activation

Is it good snorkeling at the beach ? Any reefs ? Is there any shops in the area?

About snorkeling, Yes, of course. The water is crystal clear, especially in the morning, and lots of fish can be seen. There aren't that many corals. In the hotel area there is a lot of stores for sneakers, clothing, Arabic items, souvenirs, food, drink, everything... etc.

"U can buy sim card with internet way more cheaper than hotel internet. Hurgada markets are way cheaper than hotel market"
