Dear monar658, First of all, we would like to thank you for having chosen Kempinski Hotel Soma Bay for your recent vacation and regret that your experience with us has not been up to your expectations. With regret, we have read that about your remarks on the restaurant team and were surprised to remark that our colleagues were not perceived as friendly since that has unquestionably not been their intention. Rest assured that we have already forwarded your comment to the responsible department and will conduct further training sessions to avoid that our guests do not feel welcome. In any case, we appreciate that you are sharing your honest concerns with us. In addition, I would also like to thank you for your constructive feedback on the evening entertainment. As the comments of our guests are important to us, we are currently working on a new entertainment program to offer more variation between singing and other show acts. In general, most of our guests come to Soma Bay to find relaxation and tranquillity, so of course, we try to offer an appropriate entertainment program that fits the ambience of the resort. We regret if the hotel's half-board concept which usually excludes water as well as the transportation prices have not been expected in advance and we do hope these circumstances do not overshadow your stay with us entirely. We do still hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back again in the future to convince you of the service that we are so well-known for. In the meantime, we do wish you all the best and remain with kind regards, Lars Pursche General Manager

I had my annual family holiday today in Soma bay Hurghada this year , According to my experience this year, wasn’t a perfect choice this year . The hotel supposed to be a luxury hotel that I found out that it’s not unfortunately 😞 Didn’t like the food at all !!! Too much recycled tasteless food , not up to to the Kempinsky standards at all. Very small crowded dining area and thus noisy! Rooms are spacious , very clean , convenient and comfortable. The sea , pools and beach is perfect, with a small but adequate reef. The hotel needed to have its own free shuttle bus. Plz reconsider renovations and Culinary upgradings. Thank you for giving me the chance to review.

Dear Dina R, First of all, we would like to thank you for having chosen Kempinski Hotel Soma Bay and that you took the time to share your valuable feedback with us on TripAdvisor. We regret that the hotel has not been up to your expectations and apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused. We are not entirely sure what else has led to the impression that the hotel is not fulfilling luxury standards and we would be more than delighted to receive further details from you, as also the culinary offer is usually highlighted by our guests. Regarding the necessity of a renovation in rooms in addition to a new layout of the main restaurant, we would like to kindly inform you that we as hotel operators see this necessity as well. A renovation is already planned, however, an exact time frame has not been fixed yet and we hope for your understanding in the meantime. We do hope that we will have the pleasure of welcoming you back again in the future and wish you in the meantime all the best. Sunny regards, Lars Pursche General Manager

And I tell you why. Me and my mom are so blessed to have found out about this beautiful place. It is now my third and my mom's fourth time that we have stayed at Kempinski Soma Bay. And we love it more and more every time. It is perhaps worth mentioning at this time that COVID 19 measures are taken extremely seriously in the hotel and the whole resort. The entire staff is vaccinated, wear masks and distances are observed. Everything gets cleaned the whole time and there are disinfections spender all over the place. We had not one situation where we didn’t feel safe or secure. The best part is that we’ve seen like 95% of the same staff again even after the Corona crisis. This speaks highly of the management and is important to mention. Now since this topic is already chopped off, we can move on to more important things. 😃🙏🏼 As a guest at Kempinski Soma Bay you just have to feel special and this is mainly because of the whole staff. They make the place as beautiful as it is. Everyone is so very friendly and attentive, that it sometimes even feels like they can actually read your mind. Starting by the receptionist to the waiters, housekeepers or the pool/beach boys everyone is always very alert und tries to fulfill your wishes. The guys know exactly what you like, for eg. they remember how you like to drink your coffee or what you prefer to drink at dinner, so you don’t even have to say anything because they know it already. I think that’s pretty impressive considering that there are hundreds of different guests staying at the Hotel. The rooms are all very nice and big. The housekeepers doing an awesome job cleaning the rooms. The main restaurant has a buffet with a high variety of food. There are different stations such as a fresh fish station or a pasta station. Even if you don’t see anything you like at the Buffett, you can just ask the cuisine chef and it will surely be prepared. It is also possible to book the lagunaclub for one day or your whole stay. This restaurant is a little more private, exclusive and not so crowded. There you can have breakfast, lunch, tea time and dinner. The head chef prepares your food a la minute and brings it directly to your table. That’s very neat. I think there is also an Asian restaurant, where you can eat sushi. How exotic is it to eat sushi in Egypt? 😉 The entire hotel complex is so beautiful and lovingly designed. Whether it is the beautiful garden with pink flowers or palm trees which are always maintained by the gardeners. Or the covered wooden four-poster beds on which you can sunbathe. Or the large pools, which can be used diversely, whether you want to actually swim or you just want to float on your air mattress in the Lagune. You can always find something at the facility which is just special and created with a lot of thoughts. Of course, the beautiful Red Sea and the well-kept beach should not be forgotten to be mentioned. Especially the sun downer is an absolute high light at the beach. With cool music like a DJ or saxophone player and a drink in your hand you look at the sea and watch the sun go down. Two camels walk along the beach and the sky is breathtakingly beautiful. I personally don't know how to top that. As soon as the sun goes down it feels like a thousand and one night. Now for more activities there is a nice gym with every equipment you can think of, a wellness and spa area, snorkeling tours, aqua gym and so on. If you rather don’t like to do anything, then that’s totally possible as well. Now since I mainly gave positive feedback, I also want to give some constructive criticism. The Hotelbar is unfortunately not so nice and I just don’t understand why. Of course the hotel is not an adults only hotel but in my eyes, there shouldn’t be little kids at evening running and screaming around the bar. You can’t really enjoy a drink at the bar because it’s very loud and busy. The Music gets turned off at around 10.30pm, this is because there are apartments above to bar and the guests feel annoyed. I totally get that. But I think there can be found an alternative to this bar, where you can sit longer and enjoy your cocktails by a peaceful surrounding - maybe also only for adults? This is really the only thing I have to criticize. Nonetheless, For my mom and me it’s our paradise and we feel home away from home at Kempinski Soma Bay. Thank you to the whole staff who are responsible for this! We will always come back.
