Got “upgraded” to a room where the loud refrigerator continuously ran all night and the toilet bowl loudly ran every 2 minutes. If you want to pay $200 to not sleep at all, this is the place for you! Sleeping in a car would be preferable to this dump.

The rooms were quaint and spacious. We were here for a large birthday party and it was convenient to be able to stay on property. A wonderful venue for a reception or large party. The restaurant is amazing and the quality of food is exceptional!

What change up from Las Vegas. If you have a chance to meet the older European couple the own this gem, you will fall in love. They are so sweet and accommodating. The decor, flow and comfortable feeling all create a welcome mat to this gem. Location - just 1 1/2 Mike from the little town of Warwick and Across the street from one of the best Apple Ochards around. Accommodations - all of the rooms are nice, however, because it is an older home, the top floor (rooms) are more private and quieter. However, all of the room are like a little rest are compared to most homes. If you stay in room 5, watch out for the 1st step and if it’s chilly out side, open the window and turn the fireplace on... Restaurant - we ate at dinner and rated it 5 bubbles. We did not see anything for breakfast and we did not stay to see the lunch.

A bed and breakfast implies breakfast. Not here The building is interesting. The furniture from the marked down rooms of Levitt, not so much. Waaaaay overpriced with minimal Service And a filter on the water so you don’t feel like you’re showering in grease would be a nice addition. No. Just no

We can't say enough about how great the Chateau is! We stayed here for 4 nights. Cozy, clean room, nice bathroom with great hot water, comfortable king size bed, great A/C and heat the list goes on... Immaculate grounds, perfect location - close to everything. But were the Chateau Hathorn REALLY shines is the owner Hellene and the staff! They make you feel right at home but not in your face. One thing not to miss is a nightcap at the bar. Jeanine is our new best friend - she makes great drinks and has a heart of gold. Thank you to everyone at Chateau Hathorn!!!

I have reviewed this establishment before. The food and wine is still excellent and the service is too. However my last review failed to mention how beautiful are the grounds and the dining room. This place is a real treat. You won't be disappointed.

Very charming place to go. Very. Good good and extensive wine list. That weekday evening, a live musician was playing, which made it even nicer. My only disappointment was the fact that the table service was so slow waiting for our dinner to be served. Other than that, it's worth going and trying at least once.

Hurricane Irma has changed our plans and we decided to go to Warwick instead. After comparing several B&Bs and hotels at the Warwick area, we chose Chateau Hathorn due to the positive reviews on their restaurants, nearby local spot vicinities and their offered rooms have the best prices during our stay. We stayed the weekend (Saturday and checked out Monday) at their Suite #2, which was a huge room at under $200 per night rate. There was wifi access in the room, and the antique furnitures were all charming. The tub is a regular size NYC bathtub but the bathroom itself is pretty big although just one sink. The only hanging closet is inside the bathroom. The flat screen TV is decent size (although the significant other, of course, would prefer a bigger size TV to see his precious football game). The heating is very good during chilly nights although it seems the electric fireplace in the room is only decorative (we did not feel any heat coming from it). Plenty of light sources in the room which we like. As the inn is quite old, floors of course are slightly creaky and we can hear the lovely live guitar music and conversations from the dining area in our room (this could be of concern for those who prefers privacy and don't like outside noise - regular hotels might be a better choice for you). Since the inn and restaurant are closed Monday and Tuesday, we did not have breakfast on Monday and the owners deducted this on our Sunday rate. We plan on staying the next time Friday and Saturday instead as their continental breakfast was very good (assorted bread, cheese, butter, jam and fresh fruits along with OJ and coffee). Breakfast time is strictly 8:30-9:30a. Since we were the only couple there on Sunday, the owners surprised us with a plate of cold cuts which were so delicious. The grounds were spacious and there was a lovely garden, creek, and gazebo at the back of the house that were probably used for events, which the B&B is well-known for. We met the owners who are so charming and lovely as well as some of the staff when we ate dinner on Sunday. Since we attended several wine tasting at the nearby Warwick Valley Winery and Applewood Winery, we decided to have cocktail drinks at the restaurant, and they were perfect. I am not a foodie expert so I leave the recommendations to other reviewers but I was satisfied with my dinner and loved the escargot and linguini with clams. My bf said it was the best linguini with clams he ever had (and he's half Italian). We were stuffed so we did not order dessert but our cappuccino were excellent. As far as sightseeing around the area, Chateau Hathorn is a perfect distance for short drive to several orchards and wineries, from Warwick downtown village (with charming stores, restaurants and a farmers' market during weekends) and a fantastic ice cream place called Bellvale creamery about 5 miles away. Although it is a bit disconcerting at first checking in as the place seems to be empty and we just went inside looking for the owners, we loved Chateau Hathorn with its fantastic history, architecture, antique vibes and lovely owners. We stayed at another popular B&B around the Warwick area but with the great room rate, good food and excellent service, we definitely will come back here.

This 18th century mansion is a wonderful place to entertain treasured guests. Great music that quietly adds ambience. It's a comfortable place enjoy excellent food well presented. We have been there twice and will return. Managed by a family from Europe. They have a few rooms available that are up stairs and can be viewed on the internet.

Attended a Holiday party at the Chateau for a large club. We were upstairs where there is a gathering room and a bar in the center and a room to the side that was set up for dining - for @ 50 people. We had a buffet which was nice, the food quality was about average. I have been to 2 other buffet party's locally with the same menu, beef, chicken,, fish, for about 1/2 the price per person. Also drinks at the bar were $12.00 which is also high for the area. We did have fun dancing- because one of the club members brought music and a player. Downstairs guests came up and crashed our party. So if you want to go out for an elegant pricey meal I would recommend it . But not for those on a budget.
