Detailed Reviews
I have nothing negative to say about this Lodge. Great staff, tastefully decorated rooms, fabulous amenities. We had a two night stay with the rafting package and enjoyed it immensely. Doug please don't ever lower your very high standards as your doing everything right here. There are very few places we have stayed in that I could say are totally faultless, but this accommodation comes very close.

We just had a great weekend at the Glen Lodge. We arrived very late on Friday and it was easy to make arrangements for our late arrival. We met the owners on Saturday morning and were very nice and knowledgeable about the area. Our room and the rest of the inn was clean and comfortable. Since it was the off season, it was also very quite.Breakfast was wonderful and served "cooked to order" style since there was only one other couple at the inn during the weekend. It was a great place to spend our anniversary weekend. We highly recommend the Glen Lodge especially in the off season.

We were looking to raft in the Adirondacks and came across the Glen Lodge when researching. Their rafting/lodging special was too good to pass up ($199/person for 2 nights' lodging, breakfasts, rafting day and dinner). We came with 2 families (4 adults, 3 kids) and stayed in rooms 3, 5 & 7. The kids shared one room with 2 twin beds and a blow up mattress. There are 7 rooms total, I believe. Owners Douglas and Aimee (Amy?) could not have been more welcoming and friendly. They offered us restaurant suggestions if needed when we arrived as well.
The downstairs common areas consisted of a check-in area, dining area for breakfast, great room (only complaint was that it was kind of dark - could use more lighting), a small stocked game room, and a front porch with Adirondack chairs as well as a back porch also with Adirondack chairs (and rockers). My son loved the animal pen, with 2 goats and chickens, and 2 dogs sometimes as well. You're able to go in and pet the animals whenever you want, and the goats were surprisingly friendly. In the dining area, there was always a carafe of hot water, cold water and coffee (one suggestion is to add a small carafe of milk or dry creamer). They also had a jar of Lindt Lindor truffles, which they needed to restock during our stay, as we enjoyed them a bit too much! In the evenings they also had dessert out (brownies/cookies).
The original lodge burned down around 2001 and was rebuilt. The new lodge is comfortable and had more than enough space. Our room had a queen size bed, nightstands, a small table/chair, and an easy chair. The bathroom was stocked with the necessary toiletries and hair dryer. The only complaint about the room was that the walls are kind of thin and you can hear into the next room (my kids talked too much!) and you can hear a bit of traffic, though once I was asleep I didn't hear any of that.
Breakfast is served at 8 and was filling and good. It was buffet style. We had scrambled eggs both mornings, and French toast or pancakes. Both mornings they also served sausage/bacon and canteloupe/pineapple slices. Douglas asked us the night before if we ate this type of food and I mentioned we don't eat pork. Without me even asking, he offered to have vegetarian sausage, which was provided for us each morning - much appreciated! They had coffee, tea and orange juice as well. Doug has run Wild Waters Rafting for 32 years, and it's connected to the lodge, which made it HUGELY convenient. Check in for rafting started around 8:30 in the morning (giving forms, getting outfitted with gear) and the buses left around 9:30. Everything is included with rafting - wet suit, booties, helmet. We went on a holiday Sunday and they ran 14 rafts (3 buses) which was a lot to coordinate. The guides and staff was all friendly, and we were thrilled with our guide John who has been guiding on the Hudson for 14 years. It was an operation to get all that gear and manage the groups of people on and off the bus, but it flowed smoothly. We had a great time on the river Lunch was provided - turkey sandwiches (you could request PB&J ahead of time), pickles, crackers and water. The rapids are class 3 & 4. When we returned and dropped our gear off, we had about 30 minutes to change (and shower - lucky for us to be staying there) and then they provided dinner.
I've never seen a dinner provided after rafting, especially for a rack rate of $98/person. They have picnic tables set up in a covered area. That night they served spaghetti with either meat or plain sauce (both sauces made by their chef), homemade bread, salad and cookies or brownies. It was a great way to finish the day.
In all, we would totally go back to the Glen Lodge and raft again with Wild Waters. Our stay was comfortable and we enjoyed spending our afternoons/evenings on the porch with our friends. My 12 year old son was thrilled with everything - especially being able to hang out wit the animals, and with the Lindt treats. We took advantage of the game room as well.

We just ended a really nice three day weekend at Glen Lodge. The lodge is very nice, immaculately clean, big "common room" and well stocked game room. Breakfast is included. The hosts are very accommodating and put a cot in our room that our son loved. It's centrally located, close to Gore Mountain, scenic railroad, Stone Bridge, lots of things to do. Great place-I would recommend it for families, or couples.

We really enjoyed our stay. First experience with a B&B & it couldn't have been better. The hosts were terrific. (and so were their boys) The food was fabulous and the entire logde has a warm and comfortable atmosphere. Had a weekend away with my husband and now we are going back with the girls to enjoy the White Water Rafting and the B&B.

We stayed at the lodge for a weekend and could not have been more pleased with our experience!
The owners, Aimee and Doug were welcoming and friendly and made for a very relaxing environment. They are extremely kind and happy to accommodate you to make your stay as comfortable as it can be. They are happy to provide suggestions for different activities and are a pleasure to talk with. AJ, the cook, topped off our experience at the lodge with a delicious, hot breakfast each morning. On the second morning, we were the only people there for breakfast, so AJ asked us what we wanted to eat and cooked us individual meals! Also, we arrived back one afternoon to fresh baked cookies which were ideal for a rainy day indoors.
Our bedroom was beautiful and creatively designed making for a cozy environment. All the little details and wood-work in the bedroom gave it the unique bed and breakfast charm. The rest of the lodge is just as beautiful- the sitting room area is great for curling up and reading a book, and when the sun is shining, the deck and garden are great for enjoying the fresh air.
We had such a great time at the lodge and highly recommend it for all people visiting the area!

We went to Warrensburg for their famous Garage Sale in late September. Because everything in town was already booked up by the time we decided to go, we had to look for a place away from the center of the town and found the Glen Lodge and Marketplace. It is about 10 minutes (at most) out of town and it was truly a wonderful find! Everything is quality here, no corners cut. The lodge is a beautiful log building with two sitting rooms and a dining area for breakfast. The larger sitting room has a large-screen tv (none in the bedrooms), comfortable chairs and a fireplace; the smaller one has a bookcase with lots of books and board games. The bedrooms were extremely clean and furnished in a rustic manner. Breakfast was more than adequate, with homemade pancakes or French toast, eggs, bacon/sausage, etc. In the evenings, there was coffee, all kinds of teas and freshly homemade cookies in the dining area. The owners did their best to provide us with information about back roads, places to park, etc. The lodge also had lovely outside places to sit and read on the back deck overlooking the garden or the front and side decks.

This B&B is the perfect escape from the big city. It is cozy and quaint, with great hospitality. My friend, sister and I planned a girls' rafting weekend and stayed here as part of the package. It was a great deal. We got the rooms with the twin beds. The rooms were a nice size with private bathrooms with lovely toiletries. There is a beautiful sitting room with a fireplace as well as another smaller room with games for guests to use. We stayed 2 nights - breakfast was served at 8AM, the first morning was scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, and the best blueberry pancakes ever. Also fruit, coffee, tea and juice. The second morning was the same, except for french toast instead of pancakes. Yummy again! There is a small store there where you can buy souvenirs or items needed for rafting.
There is a lot of activity at the location - it's where Wild Waters is located so it is quite busy on the weekends. It was very convenient for us since this was part of our package. After the rafting trip, we had a delicious pasta dinner waiting for us. My sister had been dumped out of the raft and hurt her shin. Doug, the owner, offered to get her an ice pack and have a plate of dinner made up for her so she wouldn't have to walk.
Everyone at the inn was very friendly and the hospitality was top-notch. The rooms were very clean, beds were comfy and our stay was wonderful. We didn't want to leave. Hopefully we will be back soon!

My personal philosophy on going away is that where I stay has to be at least as nice as my home (or why bother?). The Glen Lodge is very comfortable and homey, but the best part about it is the staff. Everyone there is so nice and accommodating- the owner/manager even gave me some ibuprofen when I came back from rafting with a whopping headache.
They have truly thought of everything. We bought a bottle of wine in town, but forgot the corkscrew-they leave one out on their counter. The food was home cooked and delicious, from the fresh baked bread at supper to the cookies we found when we checked in our first night-the kind of food I would cook if I had the time. Everything was fresh and natural.
There are not a lot of rooms, so there aren't many other people around. It was really quiet and peaceful-gorgeous porches where you can sit and relax. It seems new, the soundproofing was good (we felt like we had the place to ourselves) and, most of all, it was really neat and clean.
We went on the rafting trip that started on the grounds, and the guides were fabulous, entertaining and skilled. They worked very hard to keep us challenged and safe, which is a difficult thing to do simultaneously.
We wish we had seen the room's B&B info notebook before we started packing to leave. We found out we could have taken a sauna, had a message, manicure or pedicure right there in the lodge. We definitely would have done some of those things if we had found the book sooner.
We look forward to going back there again.

Glen Lodge is in the Adirondacks and just off NY 28. It is close to the Hudson River and not far from Lake George. It is attached to Wild Waters Outdoor Center that provides an excellent rafting trip on the Hudson River. There's really not too much of a view from the lodge but it is well situated. The downstairs has a dining area plus two living rooms, one with a nice fireplace and a large tv (there is no tv in the room). The porch off one of the living rooms is quite nice. There are 8 rooms upstairs and the stairs are steep and narrow. Our room was large with pine walls and pine furniture providing for a rustic feel. The bathroom is fine except it could use some shelf space. A storm knocked out power during a large portion of our three night visit but the facility had an auxiliary generator so we were with power most of the time. We were the only guests during our stay. The breakfasts were made to order and were very good. The third morning we had asked for biscuits and gravy and they were quite good with big chunks of sausage and homemade biscuits. The family owners were very friendly and very helpful with suggestions for things to do and see and good directions for getting there. One of days was spent rafting and it left from right at the lodge so that was extremely convenient. As part of the rafting trip there is a dinner served for rafters at a pavillion behind the lodge so we had a chance to clean up nicely and get a shower before the dinner which was a delicious pasta al fredo with tossed salad and bread. The location was good for our visit to the natural stone bridge and caves and also to horseback riding. It was also a short drive to Lake George Village with tons of shops, restaurants, and attractions.

I am not 100% sure, since I am in that group of people that need to be concerned about it, but I would believe so and would be very surprise if they didn't accommodate those needs. Give them a call or shoot them an email.
