A true gem! As a bird photographer, I became interested in spending some time at the Shawangunk Grasslands. I googled places to stay and found this charming B and B right down the street from the Grasslands. We were delighted with our choice! The inn keepers, Dan and Christina were friendly, down to earth and very accommodating of all our needs, including my very fussy dietary needs. They had a clear understanding of food sensitivity issues and went above and beyond to make sure food for me used in meals was gluten-free and vegetarian. The food was fresh, delicious and lovingly prepared and served. Dinner time, with a candle lit table, and a 4 course meal, was like being in a 5 star restaurant! The second night of our stay, we were joined by another couple, and we had so much fun laughing and talking! That reminded me what travel is all about, making new friends and experiencing great environments. The house is a great Mid-Century gem surrounded by mountain ridges, nature and grand horse breeding farms. In the morning, I watched the sunrise over the farm with horses grazing in the pasture. Bliss. Our room was beautiful, cozy, clean with an updated and gorgeously designed full bathroom! The whole house was immaculately clean, and lovingly decorated. I never felt uncomfortable as our hosts are easy going, creative and interesting. We found ourselves enjoying many conversations with them about many things we all had in common like music, art and photography. The spa was beautiful and inviting. I had a message on both nights of our visit as a Valentine's gift from my partner. They were fabulous! We enjoyed the Grasslands and spent much time there, but this Spa B and B surely made it a memorable experience! Dan and Christina have put so much love and dedication to this place. Dan & Christina are excellent hosts. Their home is warm and inviting, super clean and beautifully decorated. The views of the Mountains and horse farm are breathtaking. What makes their home even more special is the Spa. My husband and I didn't have to travel but a flight of stairs from our room to enjoy a professional and relaxing couples massage by Sara and Christina. They were absolutely amazing and gave us tips on how to keep our troubled areas loose in between treatments. To top it all off, co owner Dan made us his own Italian specialty dinner with sauce he made from his own grown tomatoes, superb! If you're looking for some serious R&R with hiking and views at your fingertips, this is the place to visit.

We can’t say enough wonderful things about Serene Vista Spa and BnB. From the first phone call to the day we checked out, Dan was so accommodating. He is very welcoming and so down to earth. His wife Christina was out of town at the time of our stay. The room and spa style bathroom was cozy, clean and comfortable. As was the entire house. Dan’s phenomenal photographs are displayed throughout. Breakfast out on the patio was so relaxing as the scenery on the property is absolutely beautiful and peaceful! We loved watching the gorgeous horses and petting them was a nice added bonus. We both had incredible massages at their spa on the premises. This was our second stay here and Dan and Christine are the ultimate hosts. They will do whatever they can to make you comfortable. The Spa is phenominal, massages during both stays and then you walk up to your room and are relaxed. The Horse farm provides great views and the chance to get up close to real thoroughbreds. Strongly recommend this property. A great value too.
