Detailed Reviews
I normally book the Wainscott for my company's installation crew - it is their favorite place to stay at when we have jobs in the Hamptons. The large 2 room cottage has everything they need for a reasonable price. I was lucky enough to get to come out to a job in East Hampton and was able to book a room for myself to stay during the week of 4th of July last minute, for an extremely reasonable price. I was going to be there well after check-in time, so Jim arranged to leave the key somewhere I could find it when I finally arrived. The room was clean, comfortable, and I would have loved to stay longer! Jim is so easy to work with and makes everything go smoothly. I will definitely be staying here again for my own personal trips, and actually will be booking 2 accommodations for my crew later today for another job next week. (I think it might be the only reason they look forward to jobs on the island!)

Very beautiful grounds...and is centrally located in the hamptons. Reminiscent of a home in the hamptons, situated on 7 acres, with different styles of lodging and amenities that you will surely appreciate. You are near all of the attractions and service they provide is stellar. The owners Jim and Steve are hands on with the facility providing a pleasant experience lodging at their inn. They also provide up to date brochures/newspapers, maps and information on "The Hamptons", including attractions. What a relaxing experience...Look forward to coming again!

Convenient and clean but so much more. Dauren welcomed us at check in and encouraged us to treat this hotel as our home including a fully stocked pantry, easy access to e bikes and beach supplies . Dauren was always close by to help us with beach passes , directions , advice and prompt attention to any request . Thank you!

THE GIST: Don't bother paying that price for gross conditions
Upon check in I was given a single bed room, as requested. I went into the room to find the thermostat set at the highest temperature & several ants crawling in the floor & around the door frame. I was immediately uncomfortable (why would house keeping leave the thermostat at this level after cleaning the room??) & looked at the rest of the room. It honestly didn't seem as though it had been cleaned. Linens had likely been replaced, but they did not seem clean. I pulled back the bedding to find a spider on the bed as well. I requested a room change & was moved to a double room that did not have bugs but was not clean. I had to purchase my own linen for my stay as I booked in advance & it was nonrefundable.
I was on a work trip & a coworker was staying in the room newdoor. She was equally as uncomfortable & also purchased new linen for the duration of her stay.

The Sagaponak Hotel is a jewel in the Hamptons. Recently renovated in great style, The Sagaponak is run by 2 brilliant hoteliers, Shelby and Oscar, who really know how to treat their guests like royalty. And their rates are great, especially in the Hamptons! They have beach chairs and umbrellas to take with you to the ocean (5 min away) and enjoy a magical day at one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. A Must stay when you're in the Hamptons. I'd give it more stars if I could!!!!! Love it!

There is a reason this hotel/B7B shows you every picture of the place except where you are going to sleep. If they showed you those pictures, you wouldn't stay here. We stayed here last week, and we went out and bought new bedding. Yup, sheets, blankets, and pillows. So heads up, bring your own.

Went here with my wife for one night and it was a perfect, cozy little room with a pull out, coffee and tv’s. The pool was nice and clean. There is also a lot of land if you had a pet that you needed to bring. Staff, especially Dauren, were very hospitable and sure we had a great stay.

August 2017 $ 175 plus tax for queen bed in attached cottage, $ 275 for king bed in main house.
Lovely property, clean and well maintained pool, simple room with the necessities and lifted ceiling for spacious feel even though rooms are relatively small. Much better deal than the resorts in Montauk and right off the main highway.
