The quality of the steak was good and well cooked but a very weird choice of vegetables to accompany. Boiled parsnips, carrots, cabbage, leeks etc - kind of a mix of all the veg that need eating up in your fridge. Fish and chips were good. My kids had dessert and they just looked hideous. Half a can of squirty... More

Had a lovely meal here a few weeks ago - we had a chilli con carne and a curry and both were really tasty. The staff were friendly and the service was good. We sat inside but the outside seating area would be perfect on a sunny afternoon.

Stopped by here on Sunday for a drink and decided to stay for some lunch. Both my boyfriend and I had two course, prawns and creamy garlic mushrooms (best I've had) for starters and curry and chicken in a cheesy leek sauce for main...delicious! Definitely coming back!

We visited as a group of 11. We had already booked and were dealt with very efficiently. (visited once previously as a couple). Most of the family has the traditional Sunday lunch and I had a delicious smoked salmon and prawn salad. Plenty of food and our demands were all met with a smile. Especially the cranberry sauce! This meal... More

Four of us stayed here as a base for a family wedding. We got a great welcome from all the staff . The rooms were well equipped with hairdryer bottled water and lots of tea and coffee facilities. The shower was excellent bed comfortable and breakfast was lovely. The restaurant was quite full but we were served a lovely meal... More

Stayed overnight to break the journey from North Norfolk to home - and very glad we did. Comfortable little pub just out of Stamford, which was reflected in the price compared to town centre (or near to). Our room was very light and charming. THE SHOWER WORKED FIRST TIME AND HAD NO BLACK MOULD ANYWHERE!!! Tea, coffee, hot chocolate, good... More

Poor quality for price paid - large family gathering Sunday lunch - food was all what you'd expect from weather spoons style establishments - all bought in pre prepped - very little actual cooking going on - personally wouldn't choose to go back - the bar area however was very nice and cosy with a good selection!
