We planned our Annual Corporate Meeting luncheon at the Hotel Utica. I have to say the pricing was outrageous. The food was sub par....I love food and should be a foodie. The Radisson was another hotel I was looking at....they were professional and had reasonable pricing with great food options. My manager wanted Hotel Utica due to its historical feature.... More

This hotel is in need of a huge overhaul which will be started in the next 6 months. It was a great to experience this hotel before. We had a great meal in the restaurant and had fun visiting with the locals at the bar. I hope this bar tender remains when the Reno is complete.

The Hotel Utica is undergoing renovation and will be part of the Hilton Doubletree chain in 2017. The hotel is located downtown near restaurants. Our room was clean and spacious....it included wi-fi, parking and breakfast. The rate was $69 per night. The lobby is lovely reminiscent of bygone days with high ceilings, crystal chandeliers, over stuffed furniture and a grand... More

With the exception of old coffee grinds remaining in the coffee maker, the room was good. Upon checking in, the lobby was used for some sort of political gathering and this made it difficult navigating around swarms of people carrying beer bottles or other alcohol vessels. Also, the noise level made it difficult to get instructions from the desk. The... More

Since I have something to do in Utica for 3 months, I am fortunate to be staying at this hotel right now. It is an authentic piece of historic grand hotel architecture (built 1912, recently updated), although the individual rooms are standard (ie, not luxury-level) - but you don't have to stay in your room; you can sip tea all... Its changing into a Doubletree Hotel by Hilton, great news for Hilton Points. Rooms are great, beds are great, breakefast is only OK, but free. The former Governor had his name on the door next to ours, nice view. Stay here

wonderful old days of impressive marble lobbies with enormous crystal chandeliers and grand piano, melody drifting into the dark welcoming bar. The architecture is astounding, with massive support columns, ornate window trim, Corinthian order...of course this isn't the golden age of manufacturing or transportation for the Utica area, so have enough insight to expect less than complete restoration, you will... I would skip staying there until the new owners "Doubletree" get in there and shape it up. In the past I've stayed and it had old world charm, this time run down no charm! I had the room from hell. Walk into this hotel and you are immediately taken back to the 1900's. Beautiful lobby of another era. Wonderful staff. Rooms need a lot of help. Haven't seen a 19" TV in years. Carpets are stained.
