I must say we had very high expectations after reading the many excellent reviews. Our visit was truly inspiring and exceeded all expectations. This B&B is truly a phenomenal gem. Rose goes above and beyond to make your stay memorable. Gourmet breakfasts with farm to table ingredients; rooms beautifully decorated (we stayed in the Reisling Room); and the vintage charm of a restored Victorian home make this a destination not to be missed!!

Property's Favorite Review
Gothic Eves is among the best B&B's that myself and my partner have stayed. We stayed in the Merlot room, which is a comfortable room located at the back of the inn on the second story. It has a large and beautiful window that overlooks the backyard. The bed was super comfortable and the shower was luxurious--with jets at the side and the top. I will say that this particular room is really best for individuals or couples, because you enter the room through the bathroom. Also a lot of people hang out in the backyard (it is beautiful!) so it's not the most private of the rooms in the B&B. Regardless it was lovely We really enjoyed the room and the grounds. Could have honestly spent the entire day at the inn it was so relaxing there :) The innkeepers have thought of everything. There are two fire pits for guests to use, hot tubs, hammocks, a spa, and the yard is covered in little areas for guests to enjoy. When we come back we will probably plan on spending more time enjoying everything the inn has to offer. The breakfasts we were served were really delicious--honestly better than most of the restaurants we tried while we were in town :) Also I have to thank our innkeeper, Rose, for being so accommodating to my food sensitivities. I often have to skip meals when I travel, but not at the Gothic Eves! She also makes cookies at night, which was a really nice touch. We snacked on them while they were still warm from the oven each night of our stay. The innkeepers have honestly thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. Rose is a kind and warm person and managed to make us feel at home even amidst COVID. I was so appreciative of the steps she has taken to make her inn a safe place to stay--it definitely made us feel more comfortable. I was a little wary about going on this trip with the pandemic, but Rose has taken every precaution and it allowed me to be able to really relax and enjoy myself Thanks to the Gothic Eves for a fantastic stay! We hope to come back again soon :)

Thank you for sharing your experience with the world of Trip Advisor. Many travelers use this website to find the perfect place for their long awaited time away from their busy lives. Covid has made this even more important to getaway and let go. Until things ease up, the guest experience is mostly contactless, outside or distance with masks inside. After each stay, I block the room for 3 days to let the staff safely clean, disinfect and launder everything that fits in the washers and dryers. This process has kept my guests, staff and me safe for the entire 10 months. The Inn is open and it has been decorated for the holidays. I also have updated the package deals on the site to offer you the most relaxing experience without compromising your safety. Check before making a reservation on the current travel restrictions or call the Inn for assistance. I look forward to providing everyone a safe and relaxing stay.

We had an amazing experience at Rose's Inn at Gothic Eves - this is THE place to stay. The inn has wonderful character, beautiful gardens, and hospitality that is unmatched. Our room (Merlot) was comfortable and clean with a modern bathroom. Past the accommodations, Rose made our stay absolutely lovely. She was personable, warm & welcoming and was helpful in offering suggestions for local to-do's. And the breakfasts Rose prepared were some of the best food we experienced on our entire trip - a highlight for us foodies for sure! (Her evening treats set out were equally delightful.) Another perk we found to really appreciate - the Inn is centrally located to many offerings around Ithaca and Watkins Glen. We found the Inn at Gothic Eves to be a treasure of a find and an excellent place to stay during our visit to the Finger Lakes. Lovely getaway, highly recommended!

The Gothic Eve goes beyond the traditional understanding of a Bed and Breakfast. The rooms are comfortable, and well appointed. We stayed in the Cayuga Suite which had its own sitting room which was an oasis in the blistering 90 degree heat at the pounding thunder storms that popped up each afternoon. There were common rooms downstairs as well. This was our first trip to the region and the Gothic Eve, situated in Trumansburg, was an ideal location. There was easy access to Ithaca itself as well as the state parks hiking trails, and wineries. There os a supermarket, pharmacy, and several stores nearby as well. An ample, delicious breakfast was served each morning. Rose, the host, was accessible and helpful in planning wait to see and do. I highly recommend the Gothic Eve.
