John was so friendly and accommodating. His inn is gorgeously decorated with interesting antiques and photos. I got to play his recently tuned grand piano. We also got to meet and make friends with his two sweet greyhounds: Margaret and Nigel. We stayed in the Josephine Baker room, the master suite with a beautiful claw foot tub! John made us breakfast with coffee, fresh berries and freshly baked, flavorful frittata and bacon. John’s inn was a perfect retreat from NYC apartment living. We will definitely be back! Thank you, John!
My husband Sean and I spent our anniversary at the Inn. The Gardner Farm Inn is a true gem! The thing that makes this Inn truly special is the owner, John. So accommodating and pleasant. We talked for quite a while during our stay. Great conversationalist and so fun to hang with. We stayed in the Mae West room. Squeaky clean from top to bottom. Comfy bed, fluffy towels and relaxing atmosphere. The inn itself is absolutely the coolest. The decor is beautiful, fun and eclectic. Loved going around the house with John and hearing about the antique decor and the history of the house itself. The breakfast was DELICIOUS!! He really puts his heart and soul into it. AMAZING french toast! We can't wait to go back. Thanks John!!
The house is grand, beautiful, and charming! We stayed in the Josephine Baker room which was spacious, calming, and featuring a wonderful claw foot soaking tub! John is an amazing host and was so warm, welcoming and accommodating. He made us delicious breakfasts this morning and had great recommendations for the area. We came for a nature/hiking and fall foliage trip. I would recommend checking out nearby Peebles Island and Thatcher State Park for hiking. Definitely go to the Saturday farmer's market! The icing on top of the cake were John's sweet and loving greyhounds, Margaret and Nigel ! Overall great bed and breakfast stay with an amazing host and fur babies. Thanks, John!
We recently stayed at The Gardner Farm Inn. The owner, John made the whole experience wonderful! The rooms are quiet, spacious, clean and the beds are comfortable. Book a stay there and you wont be disappointed!
I would highly recommend this bed and breakfast, and can't wait for a chance to return myself! My husband and I stayed for six nights, shortly after it reopened following the pandemic. John was such a pleasure to deal with...very conscientious, careful, and helpful. The house's eclectic decorations are so much fun to check out and the room we stayed in was beautiful and comfortable. By far and away, though, the best parts of our stay were the amazing breakfasts and John's company. The food was amazing and John was obviously listening carefully to understand my preferences so he could make breakfasts that I would thoroughly enjoy. And since my husband and I were the only guests in the house at the time, we were able to enjoy John's undivided attention and company, sharing stories and lingering over coffee each morning. Absolutely one of the best bed and breakfasts I've ever stayed at…
