Anne is a fantastic host and made us feel so welcome in her home. She made us first class homemade cake every evening and the breakfasts were wonderful. Anne was very helpful with advice about where to eat and ringing up and finding information for us. Shivinish is well appointed and comfortable in a lovely location. Anne has a wonderful...

We stayed with Anne for 2 nights and had a marvelous time. We had a really warm welcome from Anne and she then phoned round to get us booked in for an evening meal. We also really enjoyed Anne's home made Jamaican fruit loaf which was delicious. Breakfast was really enjoyable with good company at the table. On our second...

I spent two nights at this comfortable and cozy B&B on my Outer Hebrides journey. Anne was a warm and friendly hostess who treated me like family and made sure everything was perfect. The breakfasts were spectacular, and I wanted to stay here longer. My room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. I highly recommend the Shivinish!

Shivinish B&B is conveniently located to discover North and South Uist. Unfortunately, we could only stay one night as we had to catch a ferry. Our room no. 2 had a fantastic view across the countryside and a beautiful bay. Anne is a very kind host and cooked us a large and delicious breakfast. This place would certainly be our...

Anne goes out of her way to cater for you, she cooked some superb evening meals at our request. Great views over the sea loch from both the visitors lounge and our bedroom. Everything was spotless, felt like part of the family

We were forced to leave the Hebrides earlier than planned by a CalMac work stoppage. We stayed at Anne's Skivinish B and B just prior to departing the Hebrides. She let us know she would not be home when we arrived but left her door open so that we could get into our room. She is a very welcoming person...

'Shivinish' is one of the best B&Bs we have stayed in. Anne is a brilliant host and nothing was too much trouble. The home baking was such a wonderful 'extra' and everything had been thought of. The breakfast was cooked to order - we chose from the comprehensive list - and the food was superb. From our bedroom window I...

This B&B is an excellent base for 2-3 days exploring the Uist group of islands. It is off the main road but easy to find. Anne is a friendly host offering a lovely breakfast and masses of extra touches like a jug of milk already in your room to make a drink when you arrive. The room was comfortable with...

This little B&B, with only two guest rooms is a real find. Situated on the small island of Grimsay, it is ideal when visiting North Uist. Home made cake, as well as tea, coffee, biscuits, sweets and a little jug of "proper" milk (ie not UHT portions) were in our room when we arrived and replaced daily. Breakfast was served...
