A wonderful place to stay. Charming, clean and cozy comfortable. Personable staff. So many amenities and thoughtful details. Breakfast was so well presented and delicious, inviting us to linger each morning over a second cup of coffee and conversation. A gem! Treat yourself.
Simply lovely! Centrally located n the Hunter Mountain region. Lots of parking. Rooms are homey, clean, and well furnished. Bed was very comfortable. Ours had a gas fireplace and a little balcony with a table and chairs. Direct TV & mini fridge. Great shower pressure. Too many amenities to name. Free coffee, tea, soda , and snacks available 24/7. Microwave available 24/7. Game room. Fire pit with free smore ingredients. Lap blankets. Breakfast is served with care (indoor and outdoor dining). Lots of options as well a daily special and home baked treats. The quiche was delicious. The innkeepers and their assistants will do anything to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. I would highly recommend staying at the Mountain Brook any season of the year.
This hotel exceeded our expectations. The room was comfortable, very clean and well stocked. We found the staff to be super friendly, which created a very relaxed atmosphere. There was plenty to do in the area after we enjoyed a delicious breakfast. The s’mores were a hit with everyone. We enjoyed meeting new people around the fire pit. Upon checking out, we booked another stay.
We stayed 4 nights at the end of July, and were really impressed by the overall experience at this lodge. Room (#11) was great, also the staff and the breakfasts. I am posting this review to inform others not to pay any attention to other, poor reviews on Tripadvisor. These were because of former owners or operators, and do not reflect the current situation. Ryan and Sandy are the new owners, and, could not be better hosts. Rooms are clean, food was great, different every day. We stay at many, many B&Bs and this is one of the best.
We lucked into finding Hotel Mountain Brook, and are glad we did. We were travelling with our two kids (aged 2 and almost 1) and originally booked a hotel in Kingston that wasn't up to par. Luckily, the Rose Cabin was available and was the perfect accommodation for us. King bed, queen pullout and our almost 1-year-old in the pack & play fit just fine in the room. The private porch was the perfect spot for morning coffee and breakfast, and a few cocktails after the kids were down. It's a great location, 10 minutes from Kaaterskill Falls and Hunter Mountain. There is enough going on in Tannersville / Hunter, so there were plenty of dining options. We ventured a little further to Woodstock, Rhinebeck and Hudson a few days, all easily driveable in under an hour. Ryan & Sandra greeted us upon our arrival and were gracious hosts our entire stay. They definitely provide a B&B feel with how welcoming and easygoing they were, plus the breakfast was A+. Alexis and the other house staff were friendly and great resources for the area. You can tell it's a well-managed property. If we ever make it back to the Catskills, we know where to stay.…
