Wonderful get away. The attention to detail in this hotel is amazing. From the bowl and treats for the dog to the little bathroom amenities, the selection of games in the game room, complimentary snacks and beverage everything is so thought through. The rooms are super cozy with the gas fireplace and stylish decor. And the breakfast is just perfect and has lots of personal touches. Highly recommend this place.

We had a great time staying at this cozy, beautiful wood style building while skiing Hunter mountain. Great breakfast was served. Just sitting by the fireplace or playing one of the many games they have in another area by the lobby contributed to a fun off skiing hours. There’s coffee, free drinks and snacks 24/7. Price - what a find!

This is our FAVORITE mountain getaway spot !! We got engaged here, came here for our honeymoon and celebrated our 1 year here. The inn keepers , Sandra & Ryan, treat us like family. They are the sweetest people ever ! All the staff is amazing. The breakfast is delish. The game area is so fun. The rooms are all gorgeous, beds are very comfortable. We will continue coming back every year !!

The Mountain Brook is an upscale, rustic Adirondack lodge in the Catskills. A true gem! The entire staff, including the chef, is so friendly and welcoming. I spent a girls-only getaway there in February last year and we loved everything about this hotel. Breakfast in the morning was amazing— a great way to stay the day and the overall design details are super gorgeous! It’s also a short 30-minute drive to Woodstock where we booked a facial at Glo spa. Also, make reservations for dinner at Tabla— amazing food! We can’t wait to come back in the spring!

Mountain brook hotel Before we even entered the hotel I was impressed. A phone call to confirm reservation, not only confirmed reservation but told us about the hotel and answered any of our questions. Upon arrival we were given a tour of hotel. Asked if we wanted the outside fire pit stoked. The main room has games, dvd, small bar, fireplace, little shuffle board, comfy chairs. The room is gorgeous. Tv, fireplace, jacuzzi tub, fridge. Nice nic-nak for very comfortable feel. Can’t wait to see in daylight. Woke up to find we have a balcony!!!! Breakfast is made to order. None of this lay out the food in trays to stay warm. Sunday morning breakfast was almond French toast. Game room. Wow. Foozball, table shuffle ball. Board games. Video games. DVD and book library. Sandra is perhaps the friendliest innkeeper ever met in fact entire staff at breakfast was wonderful. Even people at other tables were overheard saying how wonderful hotel and staff was. This place so great in every way! The staff is particularly amazing! They go out of their way to help and to make your stay fantastic in every way! The hotel itself is so wonderful too… it’s a historic building updated and decorated in the coolest way and the scenery is stunningly beautiful. The breakfast is fantastic too! We just love it here! We will be back!

Ryan and Sandra are true innkeepers and make you truly feel at home. The vibe at this place is "welcome". You feel so welcome. The hotel itself is perfect place to stay in the Catskills if you wish to make Tannersville home base. Our room was comfortable with a fireplace and jacuzzi tub. The breakfast is well prepared and delicious. It is easy to find, well positioned in the town of Tannersville. The Catskills have so much to offer as its a natural beauty. This Hotel made it a joy to visit.

We just got home from a spectacular weekend in the Catskills and we can’t stop talking about it. First of all, Sandra and Ryan are amazing and run this place with a classy yet comfortably laidback approach. They are first class all the way. Breakfast was amazing and perfectly stocked. The rooms are very clean and equipped with everything you need including the finest linens and the most useful Bluetooth Lantern!!!! We had the three bedroom 1.5 bath unit with kitchen. It was amazing. The game room was fantastic for our our entire family. Our two daughters spent endless amount of time morning noon and night in there playing all the games and taking dvds back to room. We arrived late and provided easy access. We can’t say enough positive remarks and looking forward to our next stay.…

What an incredible escape... with every detail just right! Innkeepers Sandra and Ryan make you feel at home, comfortable and well cared for every minute of your stay. Every detail (from remembering guests' names to arranging dinner reservations) is taken care of. The place is spotlessly clean, cozy and well tended. Our room was simple and beautiful, the perfect cozy spot for a Fall weekend. Breakfast each morning was delicious (made by the talented Ryan), and each morning, Sandra made sure we had everything we needed for our day's adventures!

This is a con't of a review cut short for space constraints. The close proximity of Mountain Brook to almost endless hiking, walking, canoeing, skiing, sightseeing, shopping, restaurants, breweries wineries, etc. is an added bonus. Keep in mind that after Labor Day, the hours of operation of many places are reduced. More importantly, the staff at Mountain Brook couldn't be nicer, friendlier or better at their craft than Sandra, Ryan, Nicole, Marley and Isabella. There are more staff but we did not learn their names. All Excellent! Sandra the hotelier and her husband Ryan (the innkeepers) are genuinely great people that we had the pleasure of getting to know and spend time with, to a point that I think we feel like we made new friends. It is clear to see that they love what they do. We were unfortunate that it rained most of the time that we were there but yet with the help of Sandra, Ryan and Nicole's endless supply of suggestions for things to do, we never felt like we were short changed on our trip. In fact it gives us an additional reason to want to return. We cannot over emphasize the genuineness of Sandra, Ryan and Nicole as we feel like we've known them for a long time. We were present to witness a pair of guests that were a very difficult couple, they had it set in their minds to not be satisfied. This was another area where Sandra showed her professionalism.
