Hotel was nice until I noticed a 324 dollar up charge on my bill. Called to speak with someone about the bill and got brushed off completely. So when you get into the room there is a little menu to order amenities so we ordered 3 robes. We didn’t even use the robes and left them still folded on the bed when we left. Bill explicitly states 4 robes?? The man on the phone said the manager for housekeeping isn’t in to verify if those robes were found or not so I would have to wait until he is in.. basically calling randomly next week to see if this person is working. Guy on phone told me situation was “cut and dry” when asked for a manager I am simply told that they are too busy and wouldn’t get them. So why did you keep talking to me if I asked to speak to someone that would genuinely listen if you’re too busy to get them and stating they are also too busy. Im just appalled because I have this 324 charge on my account and I’m accused of stealing bath robes that looked like they were bought from wish.com. I have since sent a dispute to my credit card company as I can’t believe the audacity of this hotel.

This hotel is right on the Syracuse University campus and our room had a beautiful view of some of the main buildings. There is plenty of take-out food within easy walking distance but no real sit-down restaurants, so we ate dinner at the restaurant in the hotel, which was good.

Great location for visits to surrounding area colleges however, I thought staying at a Sheraton was an upgrade. First, I was charged $20 to park in their attached garage. Their TA listing read "Paid public parking" which I interpreted as it's open to the public and as Sheraton's guest, it was part of my room charge. The greeter said she would credit my bill - but did not. When I was told my first credit card was declined, I offered another. My first card institution texted a fraud alert and said I was charged for a room. I had to spend a half hour sorting that out with Visa. The rooms were clean and well appointed. I expected the matress to be of a better quality. For the same price of a Hampton Inn, I would have had a similar quality room, free parking and a breakfast buffet included in the room rate with less hassle.

Dear 2020infocus, Thank you for providing your feedback, as it helps keep us informed of what our guests are experiencing. We do document on our hotel's website that there is a $16 parking charge per night. I am sorry this was misinterpreted. I am also very sorry for the issue regarding your credit care. I completely understand your frustration regarding this. We will use this situation as a Learning Tool, so it does not happen to other guests. Thank you again for staying with us and please do give us another chance the next time you are in the area. Please feel free to reach out to me with any additional questions or concerns.

The hotel is in a great location on campus and overall we were very happy with our visit. I was a bit surprised that there was no mention on heir web site or upon my arrival that students that were in close proximity to positive COVID cases were being housed on different floors. I only found out when the Uber deliveries were fast and furious while I waited for my good. A heads up so I could make a safety decision would have been nice. Otherwise it was fine.

The lobby was nicely furnished, and empty due to Covid, but our floor and room had tired carpet and marked walls from use. Bathroom did not have any amenity. Coffee machine had only one package of decaf coffee. Nothing to write home about.
