We spent 3 days in NYC but didn't want the hassle and high cost of staying in the city. Fort Place was perfect for us. We had the entire 3rd floor to ourselves and our teenager son really appreciated his own room. European style breakfast included which was great. We were able to park our car for 3 days and...

My friend and I stayed here in June of 2016 and we had booked the third floor because it's the only one with separate beds. When we arrived, Paul informed us that he had decided to put us in the first floor room which only had one bed (and the shower in the kitchen). When he was questioned about it...

I was there in July with 2 friends and were put on the top floor. The rooms are comfortable, spacious and beds are comfortable. Paul was a wonderful host, greeted us at the door, was very pleasant and friendly without being too excessive. Breakfast was simple but sufficient and it was served on the top floor as well so it...

we will never stay elsewhere for our future visits to NY! very good prices, Paul is a very nice man, the place was really comfortable. We had the first floor room with king size bed and kitchen, it was just perfect for us. We felt safe, even when coming back from NY late at night. Will recommend to our friends!

This was a return stay at Fort Place having stayed in 2012, exactly one week after Sandy. It's a quaint place to stay - with The Statue of Liberty thrown in on the daily commute, what's not to love! The B&B is approx 12 min walk from St George Terminal , which serves the ferry and bus terminus. Be prepared...

This was the second time I have stayed at Fort Place Bed & Breakfast - the first was in June, 2013 with my mum and both of us loved it! Paul's terrific hospitality and quirky bed & breakfast accommodation was the reason I returned with my partner this time. Fort Place is by no means your standard hotel in New...

Had a confirmed reservation for October. Manager/owner just sent me an email telling me the B and B was booked therefore our reservation was cancelled.. I had tried to call, email him several times and had no previous communication with him. He did offer to provide another option in Brooklyn not to our satisfaction.....sorry that we did not have a...

After reading reviews on Trip advisor, I was excited to stay here. It was our first trip to NYC and it could not have gone better. Paul's place is 2 blocks from the 24/7 FREE Staten Island Ferry that drops you off at the subway entrance. We were able to save a bunch of money by staying at Paul's. When...

This is such a quaint B&B! You are only 2 blocks from the ferry and it is so convenient to get to NYC. We stayed in the King Room (first floor) and there was a full kitchen (refrigerator & stove). Every morning we had a breakfast of bread, butter, jam, fruit and coffee which was lovely. Paul, the owner, is...

Paul is a wonderful host, and his house is such a comfortable, beautifully renovated house, well located a few block from the ferry wharf. Staten Island itself is an interesting place, with beautiful areas next to gritty areas. And significantly colder than New York City at night!
